Hi bro….need little advice I have ring neck 18months and he is still on hand feeding, if he he/she is not handfeed, doesn’t like to eat seeds fruits or vegetable any tips or suggestions on this please Thank you..
18 months and still on handfeed? Not good. Handfeed it only once a day, and that too between 5-7PM. Keep fruits snd seeds in its cage and do not feed it even twice even if it looks hungry or makes noise. Do this for at least 2 weeks and keep observing it. Once you notice that it has started eating a bit on his own then start feeding it only once every 2 days for a week and then completely stop feeding it. The key to forcing a parrot to eat on its own is reducing its handfeed diet and forcing it to eat on its own. This is the only way.
Thank you for your reply…he does eat some sunflower seeds and 1-2 small bite of fruits sometimes., since he is not caged he is free all time just chained sometimes. As protein can eggs be given once a weeek.

Their ring starts developing when they are at least 16-18 monyhs old. Your parrots are still young. The tail of your ringneck will become blueish-green when he grows old.
Sure. Feed them a variety of fruits, vegetables, seeds and grains. I usually keep a seed mix all the time in their cage and feed them a bit of apples, cucumbers, or whatever fruit or vegetable is available twice a day.

Hey Pujashree, koi issue nahe, you can feed him home food just make sure k aap usay raw meat na do, meat hamesha boiled ya cooked ho or biscuits bhe zyada achay nahe hotay parrots k liye best hoga biscuits kam se kam do. If his growth is going good and he appears happy, that clearly shows he is healthy. So koi issue nahe homemade food may. But still, uskay cage may aap seeds or fruits bhe thora sa rakh diya karo specially in the morning or usay homemade food around 12 bjay tk diya karo takay wo thora bhooka ho to thora seeds or fruits bhe khanay ki aadat dalay, ultimately uski natural diet to seeds or fruits he hain....

The problem is whey they eat hot chilly peppers their stomach makes them problem. They are not tamed. They afraid of people. Can I give rice and wall-nuts every week? Also they are eating paint of the cage. It`s chemical. I do not have another cage for them.
Give them vegetables and fruits in very low quantities during winters. Also try ko keep them warm, cover their cage with a cloth or sheet after 9PM till 8AM to keep them warm. I believe the paint they are ingesting is in very small quantity so hopefully not an issue

Today I put in the cage small branches of the apple tree. They are eating branches now. Will they put eggs when they reach two years old? Now they're 8 months. Thanks friend.
They will lay eggs after they are mature. Usually they reach maturity at the age of 2 years but sometimes at the age of 3 years. Feeding them branches is not an issue. As for soaking the grains and boiling corn, it is fine, no issue with that.

Hi . I have 2 ringneck one is male and one is female . I think they were captured from the wild and I want to keep them as pet . But they’ve been scared of me ever since I got them . At first they didn’t eat but later they start eating . I’m having problem wiht the environment because they don’t have space to themselves that’s why I bought a big cage . Mukul keep him open for few days (you can trim his feathers and keep him in a room). Make sure he is not sick and is getting proper nutrition. Don't grab him from the back, it makes parrots uncomfortable, always try to get him on your hand by placing one hand in front of him and put your other hand under his tail and slightly push him forward so that he may come on your hand. Try not to let him bite you

Yes they will breed but the male is young. It should be at least 2-3 years old. Keep both birds in separate cages placed side by side by side for 2-3 weeks. Once they start showing interest in each other, put the female in the male's cage. Keep an eye, if they don't fight, keep them together, otherwise separate them again and wait another 2-3 weeks.
Build trust, spend time with him, talk to him, give him treats. Watch videos on how to tame parrots, you will get lots of good tips with demonstration.

Proper long tail to almost 12 months ki age may ana shuru hoti ha, but still 5 month k baby ringneck ki tail to hoti he ha. WaAlaikumSalam. Bro they eat almost all kinds of seeds, grains, fruits and vegetables. I recommend feeding them a mix of seeds (including millet, corn & sunflower) with some fruit (especially apples and cucumbers) or vegetable. They like diversity, so keep changing the fruit/vegetable you feed them.

It could be a female. Females ka ring nhe ata. Behtar hoga kisi vet doctor ko dikhayen takay koi issue ha to proper diagnosis or treatment ho sakay

Yes hopefully he'll develop the ring if it is a male for sure. Search some videos on how to bind with your parrot, you'll find lots of helpful videos.

The proper way is to take it to a local pet store, they can help identify by physical checkup

Leave them be. Although your male is a bit young but there is still a chancw that he might fertilize the eggs.

Yes they will breed but the male is young. It should be at least 2-3 years old. Keep both birds in separate cages placed side by side by side for 2-3 weeks. Once they start showing interest in each other, put the female in the male's cage. Keep an eye, if they don't fight, keep them together, otherwise separate them again and wait another 2-3 weeks.

Ab jab molting hogi to new feathers aa jayen gaay 4-6 months may.

WaAlaikumSalam. Bro they eat almost all kinds of seeds, grains, fruits and vegetables. I recommend feeding them a mix of seeds (including millet, corn & sunflower) with some fruit (especially apples and cucumbers) or vegetable. They like diversity, so keep changing the fruit/vegetable you feed them.
