I "tried" to pass the exam today but it was just awful, it took me several minutes to validate my ID, the app kept crashing and the icing on the cake was the proctor who asked me to film the "table" twice then stopped the test abruptly because "I didn't want to film the table" (which I had done, twice !!!). If you have the possibility to pass the exam in an exam center, go for it. Otherwise, prepare for a lot of pointless stress.

FYI: do not read the questions aloud, you will be dismissed without warning... when your dismissed, it looks like a technical error, the program becomes unresponsive. I gave the 800 # a call and waited 23 mins for a representative to answer and that's when I found out my test was forfeited for reading aloud. To me, this is the easiest way to create profits, majority of people read aloud or talk there way through a situation when reading. This is ludicrous and I will no longer use your exam services

This is a really good video that helped me in what to expect. I'm a bit of a paranoid person when it comes to software installed on my machine, and the idea of having to film everything around the machine. Gives me something to think about where I'll need to setup a folding table, by itself, and boot via USB or something into a dedicated windows install just for these exams. Originally I was considering running all this in a VM like I do everything else, but I'm sure that'd have a heck of a lot of red flags presented.
I know this was posted a long time ago, but you are right. The system check picks up a Windows VM (Virtualbox in my case) and doesn't allow you to proceed on it. I had the same idea to just use a Windows VM since I use Linux as my professional and private daily driver. I ended up with a dual boot of Windows alongside my Ubuntu installation to get the system test to pass. Also, the Windows supposedly needs to be activated, which makes the case for an on-hardware installation quite solid since most computers usually have a Windows OEM (digital license) product key on the hardware that you can use whenever you re-install Windows on it.
Can I realize the exam with the system Windows 8 in my laptop? Because, i realized the system test and appeared the message: "is not compatible". I really can't take the test?

I'm sorry this happened to you. There was no one for me to call due to holiday weekend. I sent an email to PMI and Pearsonvue. I hope to hear from someone on Monday.
Firewalls off, VPN off, connection is good. Camera use is enabled. During the check in time, the diagnostics pass on the mic and camera. Yet they tell me they cannot see me. Has anyone had this issue and know of any workaround?
Yes. I just advised them to change the ACCESS CODE (New Proctor) to continue your exam. I also experienced this kind of problem. Just go back from the start to have new access code. Good luck and GOD BLESS!!!
@@silva0003 Yes its pretty trash. They changed different proctors multiple times and gave the same advice/responses, "Restart the onVue app" , "Restart your laptop" , "Do you have another laptop?". It pissed me off and now I have to contact their customer care to resolve their problem. I have the following same situation in 2 laptops: Windows 10 (Home/Pro), the downloader (software to test) pass all well, mic, bandwidth and video camera. But always in real time when I try to start the exam the video screen is blue for the proctor, but in my side I can watch myself and even with the red text "recording". The 3 firewalls (domain, public, network) are down, same for the Windows Defender (own antivirus) all about VPN and Proxies are down too. What could be wrong?. Thanks for your support

I think there's an open application on your laptop. You can see it on the lower right side of your computer or laptop. So sad that you waste your time and money. Charge to experience. Hope on the next exam, it won't happen again.
I'm having an issue.I've tried to attempt the test twice and each time i appear 30 minutes before the exam time(as per instructions) do a system test and wait till the exam time begins. And then when the exam time starts, i refresh page but then i don't find any *Begin Exam* option anywhere at all. What's the problem and what do i do? The only thing i was able to do with that short time before the window closes was to reschedule it,again.

In the first time, don't close it. But if ever the onVUE application won't work, that's the time you need to close your anti-virus and not your windows defender. If problem still exist, finally, you close your windows defender.

Hi ! I was supposed to take my exam today but literally after the “15 minutes” to wait for the exam to start, it made me wait for about 2 hours! There was no “start my exam” button at all. And then my screen showed that I have to reschedule my exam bc there’s an error. I did the test system run LITERALLY numerous times bc I was paranoid about it but I still encountered such problem. I couldn’t even reschedule bc I apparently abandoned the exam when I clearly did not. I was getting annoyed bc I had to take the exam by November 30th. I had to talk to customer service about this through the chat BUT DIDNT GET THE HELP I NEEDED. I told the guy LITERALLY numerous times that I need a schedule before the 30th and then he would proceed to give me a date before that. He was so redundant. When I say confirm it, he will say it’s gone. It was like this how about 25? Sure! Oops sorry it’s gone! 28? Sure! Oops it’s gone. 29? Sure! Oops it’s gone. How about nov 30? Sure oops it’s gone! Dec 1? Oops gone! Dec 2? sure! Okay I’ll schedule that for you! Thanks! Oops it says here you can’t schedule bc it has to be before the 30th! 🤯😡😤 that’s what I’ve been saying this whole timeeeeee ugh Literally 4 hours of pain, I decided to call the customer service bc the chat person wasn’t helping at all, and they were able to resched mine for the 28th. The reason why I talked to the guy inc hat for so long is bc that’s the link they showed me when the error message appeared. Do yk the reason behind this? I don’t want it to happen again on the 28th.
Yesterday 3rd December 2020 I had similiar problem like you? It is a second time when I has a trouble with online proctored exam( second time is a PC, not a laptop. I don't have luck to online proctored exams.
@@selena1638 Hi! I was able to take my exam on the 28th. I used the same pc the first time. What I did this time was I deleted the previous download files of the onvue before hand. I'm not really sure the actual reason, but it worked for me the second time. I'm so sorry about that! did you reschedule already?

On the onVUE application, there's a tool that you can write anything. Scratch paper are prohibited to avoid exam fraud.

You may change your laptop first, and if it doesn't work, you can try to change the proctor (ACCESS CODE). Repeat the process back from the start.

My mac book speakers are not working properly, but my mic and webcam works perfectly well, Can i proceed with that laptop to write my exam or my laptop speakers should be must??

You need that speakers for you to be able to communicate with the proctor if he or she needs to talk to you
I couldn't give my exam because the begain button was not coming on site tried to reach out to CCE but all in Wain. What has just happened wasted my time and money.
I think there's an open application on your laptop. You can see it on the lower right side of your computer or laptop. So sad that you waste your time and money. Charge to experience. Hope on the next exam, it won't happen again.

You can use mobile data using your mobile Hotspot not USB tethering. Your phone must be away from you and from the desk.
I'm having an issue.I've tried to attempt the test twice and each time i appear 30 minutes before the exam time(as per instructions) do a system test and wait till the exam time begins. And then when the exam time starts, i refresh page but then i don't find any *Begin Exam* option anywhere at all. What's the problem and what do i do?
The only thing i was able to do with that short time before the window closes was to reschedule it,again.

I have following situation :
Windows 10, the downloader(software to test) pass all well, mic, bandwidth and video camera. But always in real time when I try to start the exam the video screen not visible to proctor, but from my side I can watch myself and even with the red text "recording" . No VPN, firewall, antivirus was on and all passes the system check and I was not allowed to take exam, what was wrong? And can anyone give any advice on this issue?

I have to close windows defender and my quick heal antivirus also? Which is on the bottom right side of screen. But i cant close them please help.
In the first time, don't close it. But if ever the onVUE application won't work, that's the time you need to close your anti-virus and not your windows defender. If problem still exist, finally, you close your windows defender.

Hi ! I was supposed to take my exam today but literally after the “15 minutes” to wait for the exam to start, it made me wait for about 2 hours! There was no “start my exam” button at all. And then my screen showed that I have to reschedule my exam bc there’s an error. I did the test system run LITERALLY numerous times bc I was paranoid about it but I still encountered such problem. I couldn’t even reschedule bc I apparently abandoned the exam when I clearly did not. I was getting annoyed bc I had to take the exam by November 30th. I had to talk to customer service about this through the chat BUT DIDNT GET THE HELP I NEEDED. I told the guy LITERALLY numerous times that I need a schedule before the 30th and then he would proceed to give me a date before that. He was so redundant. When I say confirm it, he will say it’s gone. It was like this how about 25? Sure! Oops sorry it’s gone! 28? Sure! Oops it’s gone. 29? Sure! Oops it’s gone. How about nov 30? Sure oops it’s gone! Dec 1? Oops gone! Dec 2? sure! Okay I’ll schedule that for you! Thanks! Oops it says here you can’t schedule bc it has to be before the 30th! 🤯😡😤 that’s what I’ve been saying this whole timeeeeee ugh Literally 4 hours of pain, I decided to call the customer service bc the chat person wasn’t helping at all, and they were able to resched mine for the 28th. The reason why I talked to the guy inc hat for so long is bc that’s the link they showed me when the error message appeared. Do yk the reason behind this? I don’t want it to happen again on the 28th.
Yesterday 3rd December 2020 I had similiar problem like you? It is a second time when I has a trouble with online proctored exam( second time is a PC, not a laptop. I don't have luck to online proctored exams.
@@selena1638 Hi! I was able to take my exam on the 28th. I used the same pc the first time. What I did this time was I deleted the previous download files of the onvue before hand. I'm not really sure the actual reason, but it worked for me the second time. I'm so sorry about that! did you reschedule already?
