I passed January 23, 2023 (thanks to your course, your book, the TIA Exams and your weekly streaming) all 3 sections above target. I took my exam at home primarily because I'm caretaking my nearly 80 yo mom and didn't want to risk bringing a virus home. Firstly I put my terrier in a crate in another room - I did run into some issues with the proctor - even though I thought I'd moved everything - the proctor found some earbuds and made me move them out of reach :) - he also tried to get me to remove my cable router.. had to explain to him that I was wired AND need the router to stay online. If you work remotely full-time like I do and have multiple computers I would recommend taking your laptop to another room in the house that is as empty as possible ( I have a pc I built myself and my work lappie.. if I were to do it again I would have taken my lappie to another section in my house where my laptop is the only tech :)) So my proctor experience was friendly but stressful. That said the at-home testing experience was great and I'm glad I went that route. Make sure you get plenty of rest the night before (don't study right up to your exam) and take a deep breath. You'll get this and if you took Andrews course, followed his book, did the mindset section of his course over and over again AND took his mock exams.. you got this! Thanks Andrew.. this nearly 60yo lady couldn't have done this without your courses and your teaching style!

Wow ! Congratulations to you on passing the PMP test. I am sure mumma must be proud and happy 🙂..just one question I read somewhere that we cannot use any pencil or paper during the proctored exam?how did you manage?
Also what are the books you read for Pmp?
      Thanks

Hello all - getting ready after a 30 year successful PM career to take my PMP while I have some down time between contracts. If I take the PMP at home, can I look at my big 24" screen on my desk while the camera is on my laptop, making me not looking at the camera? Or am I stuck looking at the laptop screen? I'm betting I know the answer :) Good luck all!

I took mine yesterday at home. Hone is good if you're ALONE. I wouldn't dare if I had a house full

Thank you for sharing your feedback Andrew. I really wish I had stumbled on this before scheduling to take my test online yesterday (July 31 2023).
The proctor revoked my test because I was leaning forward towards the camera (this was revealed after my escalation complaint). However during the test, the warning I received was “please remain in front of the camera”. I didn’t understand this because I could see myself in the mirror screen fully; head to shoulders. Meaning, the warning I got was totally different from what he documented in his report.
I have contacted PMI to complain because I feel I have been unfairly treated. If the Proctor communicated his concerns clearly I would have been careful not to lean forward towards the camera.
My experience was traumatic and while I wait for the 3-5 day TAT for feedback from PMI, I cannot help but feel regret for not going to a centre in the first place. For sure I would be retaking the test at a centre. 💯
This is my experience. I hope someone finds this useful in taking a decision.

I don't think I can sit for 4 hours without movement. I can barely sit for a 2 hour meeting on Zoom. I'd have to finish the test in less time

Update: PMI responded positively to my complaint and allowed me reschedule at no cost. I took my exam at a Centre on Friday (August 11 2023) and passed - 3ATs. I’m really grateful to PMI! I’d recommend a test centre any day. 😃

@@graymatters2 Honestly it wasn’t easy. I definitely took both 10 minutes breaks. By the time I was done my index finger was numb. 😏

I took mine at a testing center…the only issue it took longer than I wanted, but it gave me more time to study.

If you can, always go to a testing centre. Taking it at home is very stressful.
