- Corn Harvest 2023 Video from Darke County Ohio
Video I shot in October 2023 near Greenville and Arcanum Ohio as a local farm harvests their 2023 corn crop using their Claas Lexion 8600 combine with a 12 row folding Gerringhoff Corn Head. Running beside the combine keeping the crop moving they are running their Fendt 940 Vario MT Tractor Pulling an Unverferth 1015 Grain Cart on Tracks.
Later in the video I also included a few minutes of corn planting footage from May 2023 of the 940 tractor pulling their John Deere 24 row planter.
This is a Awesome video. 2 of the Best Brands in the Bussiness.
I’m impressed by the quality of your harvest. It looks absolutely amazing!
Like videos perfect thanks MIKE
As always Mike another great video claas has been gaining in there line of equipment here in north America. I know that lexion was made by CAT corporation at one time years ago .company's are merging left and right anymore .technology has sure come a long way in past 50 to 60 years when they only produced pull type combines .
Thank you Mike for your hard work to put these videos together for us to watch and enjoy .
God bless you and your family
They were produced under CAT but owned by CLAAS still.
Fendt planter behind that fendt tractor next year!
Another great video!
Thank you for sharing.
My favorite farm video. That marvel of engineering, the combine, in action in a corn field.
I never get tired of watching Mikes videos. I grew up with the farmers. They never had equipment like that 75 years ago. Jake Reese would bring his thasher machine to all of the farmes in the valley.
Agree.
Just a casual 25 min video how a handful of farmers harvest enough to feed a small town. Lucky to live in this country.
The fendt two track is a nice looking tractor😁👍 It's nice to watch a lexion harvesting corn💪😄
Been seeing more claas combines here in north central Indiana, 2 big farms in my area switched from red and green to claas.
Prairie View Farms ran 2 IH 8250s and switched over to running 2 Claas 8800s with 16 rows and 50fts
@@King_Randy wow that’s moving grain
Great machinery doing a great job. Beautiful crop. Regards from Down Under.
Very nice
I enjoy your videos taken in Darke county, Ohio, especially if I recogize the exact location. In the corn planting video I recognized the cemetery in the background because my wife has family buried there.
Mike! Come to Montana! Love to have you out to see our farm and tractors!
Always good to watch corn harvest. Nice equipment. Agco is a quality equipment manufacturer. Great video Mike .
Great video Mike!👍
Dang it Mike! I was going to complain they didn't have any cab-corn then at 17 minutes there is some!! lol! Good video!
Mike Great video! More tracked equipment. No stopping this team! Trucks all lined up waiting for a full load of kernels! 👏🏻🚜
Awesome video Mike, looks like a had a pretty nice stand of corn there. My guess is a Fendt Momentum planter next year. 24 row or larger like maybe a 36 row?
I like Mike less videos on TH-cam from the imperial county California 👍🇺🇲🚜🚜🚜🚜
Great sound!
I just watched your video, it’s really amazing.

Mike
At the end of this video, it looked as tho the planter was doing a fairly narrow row width. Some of the agronomy research seems to indicate higher yields at row widths less than the ancient 36" we did when I was a kid. Of course, changing is a big deal when you have to change a planter, a sprayer and a combine head.
Just curious if this farm has made the big transition.

That setup drove through town. Equipment is as big as a house!
First time that I have seen a grain cart operator fill from the back of the trailer.
Not a hill in sight, I'm admitedly a lil jealous.
I was thinking how good and black that dirt was then I recognized the field. I believe some kin used to own it.
Nice video
Fendt Momentum.
😎😎
Get that poor guy a stack of idler weights for the mt! Look at it bouncing pulling the planter. Great video. We just upgraded from our 750tt to an 8700tt. I can't wait for wheat harvest.
My guess for the planter is a Horsh maestro positive air like the one in Louisville...quite possibly that exact one haha.
👍👍
Probably will be a Fendt Momentum planter.
Kinze planter or a horsch drill
Fendt planter.
