Toyotas are such a soccer mum car from factory, Looks like you guys to a great job of making it a real car. Manual means manual and when you turn stuff off they stay off!
@@snafu22 Yeah its pretty wild, I could send you some photos if you like and you could show your school friends, does mummy and daddy know your on youtube?
@@tundraboy573 nah no photos, sounds too scary being on sand and all. And those BF goodrich…..just too much. My mommy and daddy wouldn’t want me to have nightmares.
Have you monitored max egt also on these hill pulls? Are egt temps well controlled by the factory computer? On my 1hdfte i have to watch then continually while towing, and always drive to the egt. Thanks for your video!
We have in the data but the factory ECU monitors and controls all that for you so not something you actually need to be constantly monitoring anymore. Cheers mate!
@@JustAutosMechanical Thanks for the reply, appreciate it! So in the data, when you have really pushed it, what's the max on the 300 you have seen? It's a serious question, as I was told that about my 1hdfte, and melted an exhaust gasket, but no engine damage thankfully, hence the egt gauge now. I can't get an answer about this inbuilt 'egt limiter' in the 300 from Toyota, they just stare blankly.
@@frankphipps sounds like someone who is making assumptions! Firstly, i own one, secondly the “rumour” or should i say the facts were supplied to me by a toyota service centre wanting me to increase the service intervals for this same reason. so there is that. But don’t let your biases or keyboard get in the way of facts.
That's over a 12 month period.. 12 month service is stupid i will agree with.. modern engines are made this way tho is the sense of burning oil do some research.
Oil should never be left in a engine for 12 months, change it every 6 months no matter the kms! And whoever said every single engines burns oil, you’re flat out wrong with that statement!

I installed a 2 inch leveling kit and put on 305 BF Goodrich tyres on my Sahara 300, had it on the sand, this thing goes anywhere very impressed
on sand, wow, that’s crazy, with a 2inch levelling kit, BF goodrich and everything. Far out man, you’re wild AF.

@@snafu22 jealous you cant afford a 300?
What mods to the suspension ? Great video!,my VX arrived in 3 weeks
need to do all that just to make tow safer ! great
I hate that we didn't get these here in the states. We had planned to grab one to go alongside of our beloved 200 Series.

What rims and tires are those?
What about turbo upgrades and injector upgrades do you think they will be coming for the 300?
100 % that will
Awesome
Tuning has come a long way over the last 20-30yrs haha
Fantastic oil burner.
Gee my coolant temp 79 series not towing hits 94.
How about reliability and long gevatty?
That black 300 was running 45 psi making 444hp & 1000nm never had an issue
@@JustAutosMechanical worried about the small con rod bearing in the 300?

@ heard they have stopped making the 300 for a bit why’s that?

Uses more oil than fuel
rumour has it that they burn more oil than a two stroke.
Sounds like someone who dosnt own one

@@frankphipps how so? I mean to say that they want me to increase the amount of services the vehicle has. not lengthen the time between services.
Let me guess, you own a second hand 200 series and can't afford a new 300, you guys are all the same
A lot of Nissan owner comments 😂
2 litres of oil used between service to I bet, Hot V's have no place in the outback
Oh there is nothing wrong with the design
No split tail gate, no deal.
No
No. RIP the 200.
Burns over a litre of oil every service. No thanks
How do you know ?

Every single engine burns oil. You don't notice a drop on the stick as the burned oil is replaced with acid, water and carbon.
@Justo91 what? The service interval is 10000km or 6months.
