    I accepted an offer as a L4 area manager in Florida! The only problem is I have a lot of anxiety about starting because it’s my first real job post-grad. I will 100% give it my all but I am curious how demanding/stressful it is and if most turnover is managers being let go or quitting on their own. Any advice/input appreciated!

    • @MindfulMotivational
      @MindfulMotivational  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      It's a stressful position for sure and requires a lot of patience in getting trained up. I am actually leaving in a couple of weeks for an opportunity in financial consulting, which is where my passion is. The money and benefits are good, but you have to be willing to sacrifice work/life balance. Most managers leave on their own, due to that reason.

    Awesome video! one question, should I work as an entry lvl associate for a couple months prior to when applying for an Area Manager position? Would it benefit or pointless?

    • @MindfulMotivational
      @MindfulMotivational  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question... Depending on what your work experience looks like prior, it may make sense to come in as tier 1 (applying internally almost always has an advantage vs external) if you don't mind working in that position. At the same time, applying internally may increase the wait time, and you may not see that interview as quickly as you'd like. This is where external candidates may experience a bit of a quicker process. Ultimately, if you feel you have the qualifications necessary already, I would apply ASAP!

    Loved the video, super insightful! Did they ask you at all if you had any preference before assigning your work schedule? Or did they just have it assigned to you before you started? Also, I was curious if your training schedule was the same as your normal work schedule? Thanks!

    • @MindfulMotivational
      @MindfulMotivational  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great questions! They did ask for my preference, but it wasn't focused on the time of day, more so days of the week (I preferred working the front half of the week, which is Sun-Wed as opposed to Wed-Sat). My real schedule did change from training. I went 8AM-7PM for training, and my real schedule now is 2PM-1AM

    Hey dude just a heads up, you're breaking the code of ethics by having this channel. You are NOT supposed to have a channel that speaks to your role with Amazon therefore I would consider other outlets or cancelling the channel altogether. I had my channel deleted due to associates who found out I had one, reported to LP (Loss Prevention) and the onsite HR, which then investigated me and the channel, making me delete it and I also caught a write up for it. I also received a doc coaching for the channel. Just a heads up before you get in trouble as your breaching your code of conduct. My channel, now, delivers the honest and open feedback from someone who was a Stretch 5 at a DS. Let me know if you have any questions but I would get rid of anything Amazon related as they will sue you if you fail to comply as well as lose your job.
