So we've got a bunch of completely different jurors, paying attention to different things, but they had 1 thing in common: they were all convinced that Terry was 100% at fault.

Just been watching the press conference from 2019 and you can see SO clearly how they made so much up. Ramon was talking about the incident and said Terry was FACE DOWN THE ENTIRE TIME (until he was eventually helped up after Paltrow had apparently left). So how did Terry manage to say "I'm sorry" towards anyone, as he said in his own testimony, plus all the other 10 events he recalls while being 'unconscious' the entire time?

The smoking guns for me are 1) Ramon clearly states in that presser segment, that Paltrow and co had all left, apart from Deer Valley guy, while Terry was STILL face down in the snow. 2) Ramon is the one who says the same guy was "yelling" at Terry while he was face down in the snow. Fast forward to the trial and Terry suddenly announces in his testimony, in great detail, how the Deer Valley guy was "yelling" at him and Terry was saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry". She would have to disclose all the financial she got over the coming years, and after the incident to show the number. It's not worth it. it would only make her look like greedy bastard and absolute a-hole celebrity.

Memory can be malleable, and if your memory doesn’t line up with your end goal (compensation) you may be even more likely to bend the recollection. His biggest downfall was pursuing this lawsuit while blissfully traveling the world. Nothing wrong with that except it shows you aren’t as permanently injured as you would like people to believe.

The only reason Sykes took this case was because he thought Paltrow would settle and he would get a huge payout. I think he was taken back when she declined to settle and he had to throw together a case that had no merit or truth. I'm glad the jury saw this case for what it was, a huge money grab. @@jenrich2404 True. Expert witnesses are offering an opinion based on other facts presented to them. That's whu two experts can take the same set of facts and come to clearly opposite opinions.

    Unlucky Terry.
No more jet-setting around the world a week or 2 after it happened and spent a year doing extreme sports etc.
Nice attempt at a grift there, had it not been Paltrow, he wouldn't have attempted to take her to trial.
So I hope he enjoys camping in his backyard.
Because 6 years of Paltrow's legal fees and experts is going to run into the millions, and he's got to pay all of that. 😂
    Plus 1 dollar. 😂

There are more sane, rational, thinking people in the world than many believe there are. These televised trials prove that. It is so interesting hearing the reasons why jurors reach their conclusions, whether we agree with them or not. Sometimes hearing their rationales can change a non-juror's mind.

4:50 Talk about trying to get inside someone's head. Mission accomplished as this juror definitely misspoke at 04:50 when he says: "He seems to really enjoy when people say positive things about me." He says "me", but meant 'him' (Sanderson).

Excellent interview. What stuck with me was his BIG RADIUS TURNS AND “HE SAID”….he was coming towards her and she was on his LEFT. That would make Paltrow in the front on the downhill and Sanderson coming up behind her! Simple! NO BODY BROUGHT THAT UP OR CHALLENGED Sanderson on that statement.

You are incorrect. GP’s lawyer brought it up on Wednesday at the end of Terry’s redirect owen’s read Terry’s deposition ON THE RECORD with regards to last 10 seconds before impact. Owens’s is smart. He did this so he could use it in his closing in conjunction with the animation video. What Terry said in his dep was that he was tentative of a woman skier (not GP) who had passed him earlier . Now he is making large turns down the hill and picking up some speed . He is now cutting across the slop from the left toward the right side when his becomes aware of that woman skiing down the middle of the run. He said he didn’t want to hit her so he was tentative of her. Again this is not GP. He said he needed to get passed her, so as he came close to her, he passed inches behind her.(she was able to go down the hill untouched). But as Terry was so focused on her toward his left and with vision only in left eye. He then, a second or so later hit GP in her back, on the right side of the run. He was going about 45 deg Angle across and GP just happen to be facing 45 deg towards the right at the time she was making her slow smaller turns on the right side run. This case was all about timing. Just like Terry, instead he COULD HAVE hit that woman skier instead of GP. If he had I don’t think he would have sued her, unless she was worth millions too. I know he wouldn’t take responsibility for it because as we all found out in this trial, he blame’s everyone else for all his problems. I’m glad GP won against this fraud!!!

💯 agree that the little things matter. He clearly knows his way on a slope and so that knowledge was important. Body language can be misinterpreted though and it must be a little disheartening for both sides if expert testimony is given less importance - considering the costs involved.

Great Juror! Same here, listening to expert witness, focused, memorable are the little things & body language are important factors. Take key point notes, not descriptive notes. You may miss extremely important testimony when focused on “note taking”. Some Judges do not allow Jurors to take notes at all…

That was a great juror, except for him saying he’d trust his instinct, not the law. He used both to decide this case, and that is good. But, you have to allow the law to make its case too. Or else don’t sit on juries. I actually thought Terry was at fault and caused his own injuries. None of his experts heard the other perspective, so they shouldn’t have judged, just offered their opinions. This is one case where the person at fault received the greater injury. That’s not usual. But clearly this guy was at a disadvantage before he got his skis on that day.
