Right slave raids performed by armies were legal and much more efficient than kidnapping single persons as a layman. The transatlantic skave trade was fueled by slave raids, too.
@@androofroo What would you call this ? Kidnapping ? Or just being friendly ? Judges 21:21 and watch; and just when the daughters of Shiloh come out to perform their dances, then come out from the vineyards, and every man catch a wife for himself from the daughters of Shiloh; then go to the land of Benjamin.
Wrong. Kidnapping a slave was a crime, buying a slave was not. "Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. You can bequeath them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly." Leviticus 25 verses 44-46
@@androofroo Of course my comment was deleted first time so let me try again here ? Is this kidnapping ? Judges 21-23 So that is what the Benjamites did. While the young women were dancing, each man caught one and carried her off to be his wife. Then they returned to their inheritance and rebuilt the towns and settled in them. Kidnapping or just a good friend ?
So that means rape was different back then too does that mean stealing with different back then too does that mean that murder was different back then too even AI is stupid on this one slavery is slavery no matter when it was committed

The single biggest feature that sets biblical slavery apart is kidnapping was a capital offense; with the exception of prisoners of war.
Interesting... that makes sense. I think there is quite a lot more it could have used for comparison

You are wrong about slavery. Read Josh Bowen’s Atheist guide to the Bible.
