Nice video - these are very well selected and described - the 90s can almost be described as a decade of hidden gems; Hollywood's game plan during this period was to seek out indie filmmakers, so such films were distributed on a scale we hadn't seen before, and it resulted in a wider diversity of voices circulating in our multiplexes - this list includes some fine examples of the Black New Wave, New Queer Cinema, and even Woody Allen's remake of La Strada (like how Blue Jasmine is his remake of Streetcar Named Desire)
Love Fresh! Ya gotta compare that plot to Yojimbo. You see the concept alot, the main character plays one side against the other. Like Enemy of the State. I also love that both Lawrence Fishburne and Samuel L Jackson play chess mentors in the 90’s. (Fresh and Searching for Bobby Fisher) Also I definitely clicked bc I saw the white t shirt and instantly thought ‘Career Opportunities’! Best worst quote: ‘Would you touch me if I was sweating? -I would touch you if you had spiders on you.’ Classic and cringe. Haven’t seen a few of these, will check out. Thanks. Oh yeah I had to add, Devil in a Blue Dress has a classic quote that was overplayed on the preview for the film: ‘Don’t lie to Me!!’ (slams table)

"Swimming With Sharks" (1994) is a gritty look at the dark side of Hollywood. The ending will leave you stunned. Trigger warning: Kevin Spacey is in this movie. And although exonerated of the charges against him, is still a pariah.
Some great films on your list, except Affliction was hot garbage. Two hours of Nick Nolte shouting to the audience "look at me, look at me, I'm acting. Aren't I really good at it?" Well, no Nick. As for Sweet and Lowdown, you purposely did not mention that it was directed by Woody Allen. Don't be a wimp afraid of the woke mob that has convicted of crimes that he did not commit.
I've only seen about half of these (and I agree, Affliction is devastating). I can think of a bunch more great 1990s movies that most people haven't seen - I strongly recommend every one of these: The Double Life of Veronique Lone Star The Sweet Hereafter Avalon Next Stop Wonderland Slam Fearless The Celebration Delicatessen The Three Colors Trilogy A Midnight Clear Night on Earth To Live Men With Guns Last Night The Straight Story Beyond Silence (Coda copied this movie) Europa Europa Eve's Bayou

Welcome To The Dollhouse is one of my all time favorites that no one seems to have heard of or seen.
Jennifer connelly is the only thing about career opportunities worth watching

NOBODY would ever even consider “Career Opportunities”if it hadn’t been for a HOT Jennifer Connelly
The Paper with Michael Keaton, Glenn Close and Marisa Tomei
Judgment Night, 187, Angus, Can’t Hardly Wait, The Game, SLC Punk

90s golden age of film !!
In the company of men had a great soundtrack and I’m still looking for
The Grifters is one of the best movies I've ever seen.
Mr Saturday Night was phenomenal. Billy Crystal took a bit from SNL and developed it into a highly amusing and sweet film

Fresh was awesome.
Grifters is a classic. Anette Benning was a smokeshow.
'Fresh' is Psy-ops cos
'Black Culture' is the opposite of the 10 Commandments.
