- Heyyyy everyone I hope you are off to a great day! This is part 2 of my coldest water bottle series. I apologize in advance for using poor language but this bottle brings that out of me sometimes lol. in an effort to be as real as possible I am just leaving the words in there. I hope this review helps!

In regards to lids, we are aware of the issue and have upgraded the lids since (saw that you had purchased a couple years ago)! We have invested a lot into improving them. @thecoldestwater I have taken you up on your offer to speak with customer service due to a new issue of there being literal RUST under the lid and I am being given the run around. I am not getting any type of real customer service, being told to sign up for newsletters and the like is not how a warranty program should work. The customer service is clearly outsourced, and I am getting copy and pasted answers. I have RUST under the lid of my water bottle where rust shouldn’t be. Your products are too expensive to be having these kind of issues. I think an updated review is in order. I am giving customer service a chance to send me a real response but pretty sure I’m talking to a robot.

I can agree with their customer service. I got the filter for my water bottle and it wouldn’t fit in the straw they sent me. The straw came in the same packaging as the filter. I sent them pictures, even a video of me trying to put the filter on the straw and it just falling right off. They told me to push the filter into the straw. I had to emphasis IT DOESNT FIT! They sent me a new one and the straw they sent with that one fit. I love how it stays cold all day, but there are definitely problems. I hope they can fix them in the future because it’s a lot of money to spend on something that isn’t very efficient.
I completely agree Jenna! I had to have pep talks with myself during their customer service emails because I thought I was crazy? They were really not helpful at all. I still rock my water bottle every single day it’s far from perfect but it works. I’m rooting for them but it’s obnoxious when you can’t get real help with spending that amount of money. Hey Joseph, thank you so much for your comment! I do my best to be as honest as possible. I'm not a fan of this brand, so I'm on the hunt for others. I think I'm just going to spend the money on a yeti and see how that works.
This review is way better than I was expecting. It seems nice but I'm not trying to have it start leaking in my backpack.

I just got mine and I was immediately unimpressed with the lid being plastic. I assumed it was to save on weight somewhere because it is heavy af. Which I did expect obviously but I'll take a few more ounces of weight to have a more sturdy lid. I'm a massage therapist so it won't go through anything serious except for my driving. Lol Hopefully it lasts but I would love a metal top. Great review. 👍
Yes!!!! I still use mine every day to be honest, it’s like an annoying friend though LOL so many things could be better, but it does the job! Thank you so much glad you enjoyed it! ☺️

I just bought a half gallon growler water bottle and MY cap is the same as yours. I’M HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM. I’m handicapped and I have trouble tightening/loosening this cap and it keeps separating into those same two pieces. I want just a SOLID, no spout, no straw, pouring lid on this thing. I share the cold water in here with my service dog, and OBVIOUSLY she is NOT drinking out of a straw (I tried to teach her, but then she wanted a banana daiquiri with a fancy mini-umbrella to go with the straw, so I decided that straw-drinking is not for her!). I use a collapsible silicone mug to drink out of and she has a collapsible silicon doggie dish. Because the straw top basically breaks apart when I try to unscrew it, I stopped using it, siliconed the holes in it closed, and now I just screw on/off the large main lid. This is unwieldy and hard for me to hold, so I’m ALREADY looking for a large, klutz-proof, pourable insulated water bottle with a sturdy handle that can take its own weight being clipped to the MOLE straps on my mobility scooter seat cover. So far, absolutely NO LUCK. Can they just make a standard loop-top no-straw pour lid for the 64oz growler to replace the crummy straw lid?

What brand do you use? I love the idea of using metal but yea the bottle is sooo difficult!
Guess I will stick to my RTIC gallon jug.Yeah it doesn't come with a built in straw but at least its half the price and I can easily order new lids and seals for it
Oh what brand is that? Honestly as long as it works and it isn’t annoying to use stick with that haha. I paid a lot for this bottle so I’ll use it until it is unusable. It would be great with tweaks. Hope they update it at some point.

Hey carbajal! Don’t worry about it, these issues didn’t arise until around 6 months with daily use. Plus hopefully they really did update the design and it will work out For you!

The top you have is not the newest one they have. Mine don't even come apart like that. It's pretty much one solid piece

hey George thanks for the comment. I thought that was the issue at first because familiar with seals since I replace them at my part time job with hydraulic pistons, but it was the whole lid being faulty. The company said it was an old design but it was the same when I received the new one. They did send me a replacement bottle after I pressed them for a few days because the bottle was also rusting (very alarming for the material they claim this bottle is made of). The new bottle handle wasn't screwed on all the way and looked like the holes on the side of it were worn so they sent me another new lid which is good now but I wont be buying anything else from this company again.
I love mine only problem I had was getting off the big lid.

For you! They need small tweaks in their product but it can definitely be great. I still use mine.
It’s not supposed to leak. It has a lifetime warranty. Why on earth have they not replaced the bottle. It seems it’s leaked since you’ve had it. It is expensive and they should take care of it.
Thank you and I agree! They did wind up replacing the bottle once, but I honestly think that was a return because it had other issues than this one did. I cut my losses and I'm just never working with this company again.
What I think all of these companies do is say that it's a "lifetime limited warranty". They have a limited in there because they don't want to cover for the entirety of the bottles life. I understand you don't want to cover 60 years worth of warranty but at the very least five years? Or at least don't say it's a lifetime warranty? Extremely disappointed in this company
I have the 32oz and the bottle has improved the band no longer can be removed and the lid is very different than your bottle its now all one piece I'm sure you van replace the straw but that's it and it doesn't leak
thats good to know for the smaller bottle. I tried everything I have multiple of them and they were simply a poor design. Glad to hear their smaller bottles are better, but the gallon sized I just received a replacement on and its the exact same design as the one I bought originally.
You might consider a smaller one like the 64 ounce you would just need to refill it once
@@georgeseriani2482 yea I am looking at other options the new gallon I received is working nice so hopefully it lasts. I just think maybe I use mine too much? I use it to gauge how close to a gallon I am getting daily, so I really carried it around with me everywhere.
have you seen Ice Shaker wooder jugs? they’re virtually the same in regards to Coldest. the noticeable difference is that smaller top that screws into the wide opening top. it’s not as “tall” like the Coldest one. i like the Coldest one because i was able to grab it in a way like a regular bottle, being picked up by the neck, to take a drink rather than by grabbing the whole jug with both hands. the Ice Shaker one doesn’t look tall enough for me to be able to do that one-handed. my half gallon Coldest jug got stolen and there are no stealth black jugs available at the moment. apprehensive about trying something new when i’ve had satifaction with my half gallon jug. and no disrespect to your pronunciation of “water.” all i could think of during these reviews was ChrisFix.

I have never heard of it have you used it? I love the size of the coldest water bottle but ill never use them again. I cant spend that kind of money on something that doesnt last
@@MeetBrookee no, i haven’t used Ice Shaker. i only stumbled upon them trying to find another jug that has a wide mouth opening like Coldest. the half gallon and gallon are cheaper compared to Coldest, but Ice Shaker has a limited one year warranty, whereas Coldest has a “lifetime” warranty. i don’t know what in all that is going to help when Coldest lists the things that aren’t covered under their warranty being the typical things that you’d expect to be covered… i’ve had a good experience so far with Coldest, aside from a color i want not being in stock, and will continue to use them. if anything, i may just buy the Ice Shaker half gallon to see how it compares in person and send it back, but i’m not wanting to spend the money either, even though i could always get it back via return. decisions decisions.
@@skyeroy29 Their warranty is very very limited. I dont think they should say they offer one with the amount of hoops you have to jump through and to your point, most things aren't even covered under warranty. The coldest water bottle did work for the first year for me, aside from all the little issues I had at first. They just need to tweak things a bit and they would be golden. There's no beating that half gallon and full gallon water size. I am tempted to try yeti just SO expensive.
@@MeetBrookee yeah, i agree. might as well not have a warranty. i don’t know how business is going with Coldest. seems like all the nuetral colors for the half gallon jug are always out of stock and the obnoxious, to me, colors that no one seems to want are available. i’d be more interested in Yeti if they had a lid like Coldest for the gallon and half gallon jugs, with the straw lid incorporated into the wide mouth lid. i don’t know if you’d personally be carrying a straw around with you if you didn’t want to have to lift the whole jug up just to drink. i don’t know if there are aftermarket companies that make custom fitting straw lids you could buy.

Yes, I reached out to them about my water bottle not keeping anything cold, and they kicked emails around for a few weeks then finally sent me a replacement ( after confirming my color wasn’t in stock, offered me a new color and then sent a completely different color). I didn’t care too much because I just needed something that worked. So a few months passes and the same problem happened again. So I still have the water bottle but it doesn’t last and I don’t recommend it. I am currently using glass ( not optimal) trying to find another solution.
Also just to add, they say they have a lifetime warranty ( which is never as long as our lifetime but it’s usually good for a few years). I found actually trying to use the warranty to be very difficult. All in all a very annoying situation.
@@MeetBrookee I have the waatr 4d max bottle. I love it. It keeps ice forever but the lid. I hate the lid. It's leaking. They're sending me a new gasket but keep in mind I just got it. Has a uvc light to keep things clean but idk if it's a gimmick and has a filter which I can tell it works it's just hard to drink the water through it. You don't need a filter it's just optional but I hate the taste of chlorine

It would be worth it with all the issues if it was like $50 cheaper tbh. I’m hoping they redesign their bottle, it is sturdy and I love the concept just needs improvement. Thanks for your comment!
found a different bottle from buzio , comes with a cozy shroud and 2 ss cups, there was also one from tronco that came with a leak proof straw, but no cozy shroud. but it had 3 ss cups different sizes that nest together.. all on amazon. also the buzio comes with a life time warrenty

On that. That’s the issue coldest water bottle will have, other companies will take their flaws and avoid them in their design making it a better product. If you go with either one lmk how they work for you!
@@MeetBrookee will do, i got the buzio,, and thanks again for your review, it saved me from a purchase mistake. i had a plastic cooler bottle i kept in my work truck, it leaked every time it fell over. so i know what your talking about a leaky water bottle.That was annoying. this will work better i think.
