Mine is a red heeler! She’s always barking about something and she’s a drama Queen! My father’s blue heeler saved my oldest daughter’s life. They’re very brave dogs. I gave my father’s dog a love offering for the rest of her life for saving my daughter’s life.

Everyone says huskies are the most vocal dog. They've never owned a heeler. My 2 year old will talk back constantly, such a big personality for being 30lbs.
@animalluvr4798 Banjo doesn't howl as much either, as you can hear in the video (if you still have eardrums lol). Lucy just did it naturally from when she was a pup!
Two kinds of cattle dog barks, the high pitch “bitchy bark” and the serious “hey dad, there’s some asshole in the yard” bark. They also have a great chuff when they are disgusted with their humans! Our red healer Bandit was a card with some extremely interesting quirks. She used to come out of the bedroom in the morning, and walk to the fern tree my mom had in her house by the front door. She’d stick her head into the fern, and ever so gently, rock back and forth for about two minutes, every single day. We often thought she was communing with her god before becoming the true Hellion she was. They are truly the perfect companion to a human; witty, super smart, haters of opossums, occasional squirrel murderers, ruffians, affectionate, and very, very aware of what’s going on around them at all times. If you don’t have the time to be with them 24/7/365, don’t get one! But if you do, it’s one of the most fulfilling relationships you can imagine!
I showed this to my doggo and he he tilted his head at first. The second time he started barking and licking me ( ´^') No one cares tho, just thought I shared it online-
No matter how hard I try, I can't get my Blue Heeler, Tim, to howl like this. He sure barks and squeals a lot, but no howling from him yet! Any suggestions, or should it just come naturally to the dog?
Did you ever get him to howl? You need to howl and do it for a long time and he will try and copy you. Some dogs are naturals, some need to train their voice. Just like humans, some can and some cant. Maybe get him to hear howling on youtube videos. Might help?
Heelers are not known to "Howl" ... nit saying they don't do it but it is not in their nature. I have had ACD's for 25 years and heard them make all kinds of noises lol but they mostly "Yip", "Growl" and "Bark". Howl is a very seldom event in my experience. They will sing with the Cyotes some nights on my farm though, they are off pitch lol but they try 😏

My cattle dog doesn’t howl. She only has that shrieking bark that drives everyone, especially my neighbors 😝, nuts!

Heelers make the same noises dingos do in otherwords they dont bark or howl well and you get shrill yips yawls and monotone howls
