I'm so glad that I found your classes again. I used to catch you on PBS but it has been so hard. I want to learn and grow more in my painting skills. Thanks. Maire
You cannot use a liquid gesso as you would paint. Grumbacher gesso is preferred because of its blending and opaque qualities. Grumbacher gesso is more opaque and covers more completely than titanium white. You will also use gesso to change values. Titanium white paint is good for highlights and accents.

I live in the UK, is it possible for me to buy the full version of this painting on DVD? If so, can you tell me which painting it is that I need to look out for, please?
+Sonny Ennis Sonny - it's a primer. most stretched canvases purchased have 2-3 coats of gesso already on them but you can apply another coat if you like a smoother surface.

What is smarika yahua water and where can I buy it?
I really love your work and I'd like to try it but why the purple and yellow didn't mix together ? isn't it supposed to give a brownish green ?
how can I achieve a similar result on a canvas that already has a yellowish colored ground?
What do u add to the the paint to blend the color so seamlessly??
smarika ahuja Water and Gesso in addition to not overloading the brush with paint.
Great help...thank you!
why do you need to use gesso? I never saw this before and don't know why it is necessary.
It makes a huge difference....It helps tremendously in blending so you don't have to work so hard,
can you please tell me what brush you are using in your demo?
