The reason Techno was able to get donated so much and others didn't was simply down to live viewers. If I recall correctly Techno had well over 100k at one point which would've been significantly more than anyone else in the tournament, also Techno always gets a ridiculous amount of donations from viewers in his normal streams so that would've helped.
The german sentence basically says: Keep an eye on the sky, Technoblade is flying around in a three stack using an elytra and 4 stacks of fireworks. Also this tournament wasn't a fight, it was a hunting ground for Techno and his teammates.

12:10 there's 2 things that are wrong with your reasoning 1.technoblade calculated he would need 12 thousand dollars to get full diamond, he garnered 100k concurrent viewers reaching up to 120k which basically is as much as like all other streamers combined 2. Techno did donate, but he didn't need to haha
@@YoBGS he not only calculated the 12K but before the stream he told chat which exactly which blocks to send him so they weren't wasting their money on food or pets. When they started to run low on things he ran the numbers and constantly updated chat to what he needed. For example when he found a diamond in a chest he said "chat that's 500 we don't need in material lucky blocks send food instead"
“Couldn’t other youtubers do the same thing” (to get diamond armor). I mean technically they could. But realistically this is impossible for anyone other than Techno at the time from all the people who were in it. Nobody else pulled anywhere near as many viewers as Techno did in this event. And Techno has a very dedicated fan base who in ratio of #of donations to viewers, ranks very high. Everyone else can at most hope for a diamond sword for each team member which would already put them in like the top 10% teams. What Techno’s team did is not the norm. From out of 200 people, techno’s stream alone accounted for more than 1/3 of the total donations.
Whats interesting is that Dream was in the MCU before this one, and even with his high number of viewers, he didn't get full diamond out of it? I assume that it was still charity related at the time, but honestly I'm not sure.
Ashfer2 Well there’s a few reasons why he didn’t get full diamond. Techno recommended everyone to specifically send him material lucky blocks which is what drops diamonds while most people just told them to send whatever. So a higher percentage of his luckyblocks were material lucky blocks. Next the first MCU was preety laggy so some people might have left the stream because it was hard to watch at times. Also Techno’s team was the “underdog” in a way to some people as they were a player down and people root for (and donate to) people who have the odds against them. And finally Dream died preety early while Techno lived till the end and gave him time to get full diamond.
There is also the fact that us Techno fans are known as 'Techno Millionaires' who have a tendency to just donate him ludacrise amounts of money in donations.
Tommy was specifically trying to get everyone else to attack Techno so he could live longer. He kept telling everyone to go fight, and then not actually doing anything and staying back. It was so disorganized bc at the end of the day they were still at least all fighting each other for the #2 spot so no one really wanted to go in lol. Fundy also combat logged at the end lol. They weren't actually sure he was going to log back in lmao.
everyone was sure he was going to because you can only have 20 minutes before you are considered dead and out in MCU iirc, so it was either he comes back and they win or he stalls, they raise more money, and then they win
I see Technoblade as chaotic neutral, since his decisions aren't always truly evil, just beneficial for him and his goals. Also he works really nicely with anyone on his side.
I think techno's character on the dream smp is probably lawful neutral because he has rules and ideals he's set for himself that he follows to a tee. However, outside of that, I would say he's probably chaotic neutral. He's just there to stir up some stuff and make things interesting.
Well he only really has one rule in the dream smp and that rule is, government bad, i’d go as far as calling him chaotic neutral with a slight leaning towards evil in the dream smp But not full blown chaotic, just barely chaotic
At that time only technoblade and dream had a unbelievable amount of livestream viewers because dream is the new thing obviously and he has 10m active subs and technoblade because he keeps his livestreams entertaining somehow
YESSSS It's here. Leaving space to answer questions: Greek god of death is Thanatos The kills were changing because he was including footage from his team members I didn't participate personally, but he got THOUSANDS upon thousands of dollars worth of stuff for charity. It's not that no other teams participated, it's that people just, drowned technoblade in items far more than anybody else did (It's pronounced "'L' 'I' Tra") Yes, they can donate in the middle of the event, and in fact, you could see techno still receiving lucky blocks decently often Also, about the total kills: You seem to have missed a bit of the info that half the players that die get revived once.
Realistically I'd almost classify Ares as closer to the god of murder. Thantos was basically the keeper of the dead, and combined with Hades was basically the equivalent to Lucifer, but he wasn't generally considered as malicious in the same way Ares (or Technoblade) was
@@ethanhogan2463 Tbf, thanatos is often portray with wings, coming down from the sky to being people to the afterlife, similar to how Technoblade comes down with the elytra to kill. Personally I'd say Thanatos fits the description better than Ares.
Out of everyone here, Technoblade was by far the most popular streamer. He got the most views at least, which meant that he would get the most donations by a lot. If the other streamers could´ve done this, they would have.
I mean, most of CaptainSparklez' subs are from a while ago. Technoblade's fame is much more recent so it makes sense that he pulls a lot of viewers even though his overall subscriber count is lower.
@@acediadekay3793 If you're talking about CaptainSparklez, he theoretically could. Though, that wholly depends on whether he had enough fans to actually do so. Technoblade had about 100k viewers if I remember correctly, which is more than enough to get the amount of lucky blocks he did. A lot of the other streamers only had about 10k-20k, which is still good, but they probably can't pull something off to the level that Techno did. I mean, have you seen Techno stans?

@@YoBGS Man, I didn't expect the reply from you. Much appreciated. To freely translate the German: Be aware/careful of the heavens, Techno and co are flying around the map with the three of them with 4 stacks of rockets.
Also Pete (PeteZahHutt) is considered S tier in a different Minecraft tournament known as MC Championships (or MCC for short) which is why Techno gave that short monologue while destroying Pete. Very satisfying to watch lol
Technoblade had no time to donate; he was in-game. The fact the organisers thought his presence would be imbalanced was more because of his huge fan base than because of his pvp skills.
Technoblade is Technoblade, but can we appreciate Calvin, another pvp God and Nesterio, his aim with the bow, Christ this team is broken and should not be allowed to ever be in a team(kidding, love their chemistry)
If you're looking for more recent Minecraft history, I highly recommend Zyphon's video "The Rise, Fall, and End of Minecraft Monday - A Documentary about Keemstar's Minecraft Tournament". It's the precursor to the MCC tournament I think you plan on covering as well (though MCC is better in nearly every way), and sparked the career of a certain Potato King you may have heard of. It might also give you a better idea of how good Techno is in competitive Minecraft, since the potato stuff you've watched doesn't really do that aspect of him justice (and even this video is hardly competitive PvP lmao). Besides that, Minecraft Mondays might be the most influential piece of content with regards to bringing Minecraft back into the popular fold. It's only rivaled by SMPLive in that regard, and SMPLive is a bit too disjointed to do a reaction to imo. Anyway, I absolutely love your videos and I'm really enjoying watching you come to appreciate MC like so many of us already do.
Fun fact about McM: Technos team never left top 5, and Techno himself never top 3. Techno owned McM so much that he owns 3 out of the 5 highest scores.
Fun facts: Techno is called the blood god from his chat the actual line that’s most commonly used is “blood for the blood god” The lucky blocks all cost 10 bucks you could choose to buy the random one where techno gets a random lucky block out of food blocks, pet blocks, the armor blocks and the material blocks Technos fans all donated while he was playing so basically everyone could get donated lucky blocks by there fans There fans buy the lucky block on the website and techno gets the lucky block the money goes to charity and in the end it shows how much you raised on the website and in total techno made 11,000 dollars witch is why he got enough material lucky blocks to get diamond gear Techno got so many donations he didn’t even have time to place down all his lucky blocks because he was farming kills Techno is apart of a group called sleep bois along with Tommy (Tommyinnit) , Philza (pliza Minecraft) and Wilbur (Wilbur soot) the original member of the sleep bois is techno Phil, Wilbur and techno Techno is a PvP related youtuber not including the potato war Techno and dream has a rival relationship but they both respect each other and there talents Dream is a speed runner and actually has a few world records Techno has ADHD and he can’t talk much or his throat gets dry and he starts to cough so please don’t think he has corona if he’s coughing in some of his longer streams that are like 4-5 hours ;-; Techno has the second largest bedwars win streak and he helped telephone (I think that’s his name) get the 1st place by being on his team (techno ended his bed wars win streak because of stress) Nobody has beat technos or telephones win streak yet Fire breath man is technos sensei Tommy is a CHILD he is 16 or 18 and he is a role playing youtuber on the dream smp server he is not good at PvP 😂

This was a great tournament to watch live :P some cool extra things: - The tournament was actually restarted about 30 minutes in (it got left out of the highlights vid) due to some glitches. In the first glitchy round, techno's team did the "technoplane" bit a couple times as a joke. And then partway through the 2nd round they were like "wait that's actually a viable strat" and it was freakin hilarious. Also, when it restarted they got all the previous donos at once, which was how the super-fast ones happened near the beginning. - Yes, viewers could donate throughout the event. The OP diamond stuff was mostly from techno having the highest viewership by far, but also because (being techno) he came in with a plan. He specifically told everyone to donate Material Lucky Blocks (as opposed to Pet, Food, Combat, or Random) because those were the ones with diamonds, and.... yeah, the pay-to-win worked like a charm! - Tommy's perspective of the event was also hilarious, he organized the alliance by popping in and out of different team vc's for the whole last stretch of the tournament. - As a couple other people pointed out, techno is arguably the weakest pvp-er on that team-utterly insane! - The event organizer's tweet about how their team of 3 probably wouldn't win became an instant copypasta. (btw definitely watch "skeppy tries to troll me but i troll him first" I swear I watch it again every couple months, timeless classic)
I’d say Techno is more Chaotic Neutral, since he’ll work on the side of good or evil so long as he can obliterate order, it just so happens that good usually sides with order and evil usually sides with chaos
techno had the most viewers out of anyone in the tournament, so that’s why the other streamers couldn’t do the same. i think the closest in viewers to him was tommy and even then tommy was way off lol
This is late but Techno had the most viewers during the event (I think) and Techno stans donate a lot anyway. Recently he was like “I’ll name a dog after you if you donate $100” and he had like 20 named dogs so that’s a great example of how much he gets donated. Everyone else didn’t get as many donations.
Even though this is 7 months old now I just found this video and it brings back so many memories of when I was watching Badboyhalo's team's POV. The entire stream was just them freaking out over Technoblade.
Didn’t see anyone mention this, but the reason why he had such a high influx of lucky blocks in the beginning was because, along side his high number of viewers, this was actually the second game. The first game was too laggy so they restarted and all the old donations were counted in the beginning, thus the blocks coming in faster than techno could right click.
You have earned my sub! And as of rn techno gets around 130k live viewers whenever he streams and Im pretty sure he streamed this event so that might have helped out with the loot box things (since you asked!)
@@YoBGS This was streamer only event. Techno was live to 120k viewers. As a fellow commenter said he had a plan. With the start of the stream he told everyone to donate material lucky blocks for the diamonds. And Technos audience has always been pretty generous.. ☺️
I'm not too far into the video when typing this so i am not sure if it is covered, but each of the donated lucky blocks costed $10 and they had a very small chance to even drop a diamond. Techno alone raised $11,625 for charity, out of the $36,264 raised overall by everyone else. So not just anyone could do what he did, you would have needed an absurd amount of support from fans and technoblade had a very large amount of people watching him.
Someone else even said he went so far as to calculate how much he’d have to raise to get the Diamond he needed. I’ve never seen someone do so much good while doing so much harm (to the other competitors)
YESSSSSS I WAS WAITING FOR THIS AHHAHA- 2:03 Admittedly, the only ones I watch from this list are Fundy and CaptainSparklez, but yeesssss you should totally react to Fundy's minecraft videos! He codes the game kinda like the Dream Team does, but Fundy likes to make different game modes! He made one called impossible++ and it basically makes the game EXTREMELY hard. There's a bunch of others too and it's really interesting! Plus, Fundy is hilarious 7:40 We call him the Blood God :) (BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GODDDD) 11:46 The thing was that your power highly depended on the donations you received. The more donations, the more items you received, and because Techno was one of the biggest youtubers in this tournament meaning he had more viewers, he got the most op items. So yeah, other people could've done this, but many probably couldn't because they didn't get elytras or rockets from their donations. TAPL'S SCREAMING KILLS ME EVERYTIME THAT POOR MAN HAHAHAHHA 26:03 He probably just legitimately didn't see it. Chat goes by so fast with people dying and blocks being given to him and people just talking that he probably started ignoring game chat pretty quickly. Not to be rude, of course, just to focus. 31:13 I might be wrong about this, but I think the tournament took like a full hour just to start up because of lag, and I think it also crashed once and they had to restart. Again, might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that happened LOL I love Fundy so much ahahah 40:15 That copy pasta was so funny kjfkjfhaka I'm so glad you watched this LMAO it's so funny- TECHNOPLAANNNNEEE
it's probably worth noting that Calvin and Nestorio are also very entertaining content creators too and that both of them are more experienced in pvp than techno, calvin especially is an absolute monster
You mentioned wanting to check out Luke TheNotable for his hardcore world - if you want to see more hardcore, definitely check out Philza! I'm not sure any of his videos would be as good for reactions like this as they're not this insane, but seeing him talk about his hardcore world that lasted for five years is definitely fun in your spare time.
Technos community is one of my favorites honestly. Like every time I talk to anyone who watches technoblade we get along wonderfully. Also techno is just chaotic neutral in a nutshell- he does what he wants because he thinks it will be funny and that’s the only reason he needs.
I feel like maybe you didn't realize this so I'll clarify: during this tournament Technoblade had way more live viewers than basically anyone else, and therefore more people to donate to the charity to give him items. So basically Technoblade gamed the whole donation system with his viewers to get so many items. And yes, I think you could donate in the middle of the event too. Just most viewers probably spent their money earlier on, as would be expected. Sure you can get mad at him but hey that's a lotta money going to orphans lol.
So to clear some things up about Techno's teamates: Xnestorio: Nestor, or Ngal as I know him, is positively CRACKED with the bow in minecraft. For reference for how good he is, for a very long time Ngal was one of the best TH-cam 1.8 pvpers. He is a UHC player, and a longtime friend of Techno. Calvin: Also known as Cxlvxn. Calvin is very good at both 1.8 and 1.9+ pvper. He is most notable for being very aggressive in his pvp style as well as being the master of RLCraft. He is also a very good friend of Techno.
The reason Fundy didn't have anything at the end is because he originally logged out before he got killed and they had to wait for him to log back in to end it 😂
@@YoBGS There were content creators in the tournament with way more subs than Techno (for example Captain Sparklez was near 10 million at the time, while Techno was under 3 million), but I would say that the majority of Techno's subscribers are actual dedicated fans which will tune in for everything he does - which is not at all the case for other creators. You can see it in the number of concurrent viewers he can pull in his livestreams. He can actually compete with Dream for concurrent viewers despite Dream having 3x the subscribers.
The reason why techno had so much people donating is mostly because of his viewers since he had like 100k viewers there and their fans are dedicated in helping techno in that tournament

Well he only really has one rule in the dream smp and that rule is, government bad, i’d go as far as calling him chaotic neutral with a slight leaning towards evil in the dream smp
But not full blown chaotic, just barely chaotic

The kills were changing because he was including footage from his team members
I didn't participate personally, but he got THOUSANDS upon thousands of dollars worth of stuff for charity. It's not that no other teams participated, it's that people just, drowned technoblade in items far more than anybody else did
(It's pronounced "'L' 'I' Tra")
Yes, they can donate in the middle of the event, and in fact, you could see techno still receiving lucky blocks decently often
Also, about the total kills: You seem to have missed a bit of the info that half the players that die get revived once.
eh lih truh
i hate it too dont worry
@22 tacky chacon TECHNOBLADE
@22 tacky chacon the one techno talks about is ‘Khorne’ the warhammer 40k god of destruction
I love how Tommy was the one to get everyone to team at the end.
the reason techno had that much stuff is because he had around 100k viewers while the next highest probably had a max of around 10 to 20k
Out of everyone here, Technoblade was by far the most popular streamer. He got the most views at least, which meant that he would get the most donations by a lot. If the other streamers could´ve done this, they would have.
Cap. Sparkles have 11.1 million.
Techno have 3.5 million.
@@acediadekay3793 Obviously, but subs does not equal views, Techno gets the most views while streaming
I mean, most of CaptainSparklez' subs are from a while ago. Technoblade's fame is much more recent so it makes sense that he pulls a lot of viewers even though his overall subscriber count is lower.
But if he wanted to break the tournament he definitely could have schemed to do so.

The lucky blocks all cost 10 bucks you could choose to buy the random one where techno gets a random lucky block out of food blocks, pet blocks, the armor blocks and the material blocks
Technos fans all donated while he was playing so basically everyone could get donated lucky blocks by there fans
There fans buy the lucky block on the website and techno gets the lucky block the money goes to charity and in the end it shows how much you raised on the website and in total techno made 11,000 dollars witch is why he got enough material lucky blocks to get diamond gear
Techno got so many donations he didn’t even have time to place down all his lucky blocks because he was farming kills

You can canonically say that. It would be canonically fair. Canonically.
I don’t know who the god of murder is, but fun fact, the Roman god of war is named Mars.
This was a great tournament to watch live :P some cool extra things:
- The tournament was actually restarted about 30 minutes in (it got left out of the highlights vid) due to some glitches.

That's alright, YoBGS. Yesterday, Technoblade did like 57 crafting tables.
No mister he had 50 and then made an extra one.. 😀

Hey, you may remember me from a few other videos where I commented, just wanna say how I love your videos
I’d say Techno is more Chaotic Neutral, since he’ll work on the side of good or evil so long as he can obliterate order, it just so happens that good usually sides with order and evil usually sides with chaos
That’s a really good way of putting it and makes a whole lot of sense. I like that!
techno had the most viewers out of anyone in the tournament, so that’s why the other streamers couldn’t do the same. i think the closest in viewers to him was tommy and even then tommy was way off lol
See I just assume bc these people are all huge relative to me that they all pulled a following like that, lol
Also that OF cape refers to Optifine, it's a graphics mod for minecraft. It's one of the most installed mods for minecraft.
I think he knows, funnier to be referred as the OnlyFans cape
You only made 11 crafting tables? That’s beginner levels. Look at Techno: He made 51 like a pro 👌
Ee-lee-trah or ee-lye-trah are the general pronunciations for the wings haha
THANK YOU! It's a case where I started saying it the wrong way and now I'm just broken and keep trying to say it right but fail.
Even though this is 7 months old now I just found this video and it brings back so many memories of when I was watching Badboyhalo's team's POV. The entire stream was just them freaking out over Technoblade.
Oh boi, this is what i've been wating for!! SUB 2 TECHNOBLADE
There have been rumors that Tommy has gone from being a small orphan child to just a small child. Who would've known?
For the german viewer message at 6:56 it says the following: "Watch the sky, Techno and co fly as 3, with 4 stacks of rockets around the map"
You have earned my sub! And as of rn techno gets around 130k live viewers whenever he streams and Im pretty sure he streamed this event so that might have helped out with the loot box things (since you asked!)
Thank you so much for the kind words and the info!
@@YoBGS This was streamer only event. Techno was live to 120k viewers. As a fellow commenter said he had a plan. With the start of the stream he told everyone to donate material lucky blocks for the diamonds. And Technos audience has always been pretty generous.. ☺️
“Who is the god of murder?” You’re looking at em bud BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD

7:40 We call him the Blood God :) (BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GODDDD)
11:46 The thing was that your power highly depended on the donations you received. The more donations, the more items you received, and because Techno was one of the biggest youtubers in this tournament meaning he had more viewers, he got the most op items. So yeah, other people could've done this, but many probably couldn't because they didn't get elytras or rockets from their donations.

I genuinely didnt realised i sat on the ground watching this for 40 minutes. Op
So to clear some things up about Techno's teamates:
Xnestorio: Nestor, or Ngal as I know him, is positively CRACKED with the bow in minecraft.
"Falling out of a tree in my yard." That made me laugh so much. I haven't laughed this much in a while, thanks!

THEN THE WINGED HUSSARS ARRIVED
Ahh a man of culture
The reason Fundy didn't have anything at the end is because he originally logged out before he got killed and they had to wait for him to log back in to end it 😂
He had like 10x the viewers of the competition so he was able to raise more funds.
See I didn’t know that, I just know they’re all big creators so I figured they all had tons of viewers
YOBGS can you post the stream from twitch to youtube, like a vod. I wasnt able to make it to the stream
