Thank god someone spoke about the plastic positive claim of mamaearth. I have about 10 product empties that are lying in my closet. Mamaearth wants you to ship them yourself to them. I wonder how many people actually do that. On the other hand, I had just 2 Plum empties and as soon as I placed a request to return them, they immediately showed up on my doorstep the next day and took back the empties and also gave me Rs. 100 as cashback. This proves that mamaearth is claiming to be plastic positive only for namesake!
Tbh Minimalist is best skincare brand in India...formulated skincare and biggest thing is its affordable..so we cant say its just a dupe of ordinary..Minimalist is actually an underrated brand ...i am using their products...fragrance free,no harsh ingredients and actually works with regular use. For better skin - Good Diet and Exercise thrice a week = Good skin

Minimalist vitamin c serum doesn't work for me ,I bought becoz it's affordable but am disappointed now 😔 switched to klairs one ,it's better to invest little bit amount and get products which works on you

Don't forget about Mcaffein. Their green tea range is basically perfume. It's so overpowering that I was almost afraid to use the face wash, let alone the serum. 🙄

MamaEarth needs to be called out since so long. I’m fed up with bloggers putting a 3-4 minutes script promoting their products in the video and then claiming it to be unsponsored specially people like thatquirkymiss. We don’t mind bloggers getting sponsorship but be transparent with your audience atleast.

That is the sole reason I unfollowed her..I don't mind sponsored content but please mention it...I have also realised majority of the people won't be bothered to do this unless they are made to by the regulations.
I tested Patanjali Products in my basic Chemistry Lab of 11th Class and it's Turmeric, Red Spice, Milk, Ghee & so many other edible Products turned out to be Adulterated ! The Red Spice had Brick Powder elements in it ! ❌ Never trusted that brand again ! My Team Members were big Patanjali Supporters, they stopped consuming their products immediately after the shocking results ! Gonna Talk about it in my Video someday !
I’m so emotional right now. I used mamaearths ubtan body butter after watching a lot of TH-camrs talking about it. After using it for 3 4 days my body was full of ingrown hairs and severe body acne. I wrote a full review on their website and guess what my review was not even published!! They have no ethics
Always do a patch test before using any product on your full body or face becoz. You may be allergic from any ingredient in that product it's not any other's fault . It can happen with any one who is allergic to any thing . Take care , Be happy you will be alright 😊

I think we need a strict regulatory body like the FDA in India. Like brands get away with so much, like shady ingredient lists, environment harming packaging, false claims. Also Patanjali is one brand that would have been banned after failing even half the tests that it failed had it been in the USA.

the only problem with them was that some people said they've copied the ordinary.... but their formula works really well for my extremely sensitive acne prone skin.... and I would prefer buying that is easily available in India also they are transparent...

Omg how can you forget 'Good Vibes' exclusively on purplle? They are perfume houses in the name of skincare. Inacuurate formulation, hell lot of essential oils added, dont disclose the ingredients list and so on.
@@indiangirl001 the good vibes product iam using currently are... Tea tree toner-really good toner Green tea face wash-a bit drying Papaya scrub-doesn't scrub at all. Out of all the three products the toner is one of the best toners I've had tried.
I would personally add earth rhythm to this list. Bought their rosehip seed oil , it has colorants in it. Stains my hands yellow and having previously used rosehip oils, i know they dont stain. Plus msgd them about the same, no response whatsoever. Plus remember their serum scandal and their response is bad bad bad!
I would advise you not to get the brand although I’ve only tried 2 products. They’re not transparent w their ingredient list. I think it was the niacinamide serum. I personally bought rosehip oil. Ingredient list said 100% pure cold pressed oil but it has colr in it which just blows my mind and it was for like 600-800!

I just don’t get this obsession with fragrance like, I have eczema. So for me fragrance is a major no. But even for people who don’t have sensitive skin like me, fragrance doesn’t have much use and mostly brings negative stuff. It irritates your skin. I still use a perfume for fragrance, no need for 10 products with different fragrances to smell good.

For this one reason I HATE ThatQuirkyMiss and Mridul Sharma, they are such blind supporters of mamaearth, any product comes up, BOOM you can see it in there videos praising them, no offense they are amazing TH-camrs, this is that one trait that is very eerie and annoying. All right so please bear with me. This video just popped up in my feed and i happened to watch it. This is a completely new channel to me, and i am deffo subscribing. I am very impressed by how blatantly honest she is. I am not into makeup and skincare so i haven't really used a lot of brands, just the common drugstore ones. The common problematic point that Shreya pointed out here was shady ingredient lists. Someone, please enlighten me about commonly used bad ingredients and popular brands who still use them
I have a suggestion for you, which, if you end up liking, you can maybe turn into a series. So, hear me out please! 😅 A lot of brands has more than one lipstick range, with varying different lipstick formulas. Let's take Nykaa for example. There's So matte, Ultra maatte, Matte luxe, So creme, Wonderpuff, Paintstix, Mattelicious, the Masaba collection, Matte to last, Molten matte, Demi matte! Most people buy lipsticks based on the formula and colour, and a lot of people like to stick with the same brands that they have tried and tested and have found good results with. Soooo... My suggestion is, dupes with the same brand of the most popular lipstick shades! For Nykaa, some of the most popular shades would be Jade rose, Monalisa, Diana, Basic, Pillow fight, Irish Coffee, Artisanal coffee, Cool guy, Nefertiti, Let it snooze and you could make a video of trying to find dupes of these colours from within the various lipstick ranges Nykaa has to offer! You can do the same for Lakme, Huda beauty, Mac and all the thousands of brands we know! It could be an interesting series.. I don't think anyone has ever done anything similar to this, so I don't know how this will end up working, I just had an interesting idea, and decided to give it to one of my favourite TH-camrs 🤍 To people reading this - like and comment with brands and shades you would like to see so that Shreya sees this and eventually make a video! ✌️

I dont think so. I used many of their products and i think all of them have chemicals. Like their facewash, you can’t create a facewash like that without adding chemicals. Also, their creams. I’m damn sure that they’re using chemicals, they’re just not mentioning it, which is wrong.
My problem with Nykaa is how they manage to come up with SO MANY products in days. Any person who has the faintest idea about how the cosmetics industry works will know that it is just not possible to launch range after range in such little time. I just feel all these brands (WOW, Nykaa, Mamaearth) actually have some kind of mass manufacturing unit where there are gallons of stuff being created and deals are handed out to middlemen. I just avoid these brands like plague. Thank you, Shreya for being the voice for the sane buyer. For others who want to continue endorsing and buying these brands, well, suit yourself.
I think a huge majority of brands especially wow, just slap on new packaging and switch up the fragrance for items like shampoo and conditioner, moisturizer and cleansers especially. With makeup, it's so obviously done by nykaa brand between the lipsticks from nykaa and masaba. They're literally the same shades and formula with different packaging. Lakme does this a lot too.
All cosmetics are the same. They have a similar base and change up only few ingredients and concentrations,Unless they have a research and development centre which is very rare for cosmetic brands espet the new ones. Cosmetics like drugs are mass manufactured by third parties. There's nothing wrong with it. That's how products are affordable. But the problem is with them not being transparent with ingredients. Mass manufacturing doesn't essentially mean bad products. Businesses make money only this way
Recently i saw a known of mine starting her own beauty brand at home just by repasting new and fancy stickers over cheap creams and all. For her own satisfaction and for giving a label that the cream or shampoo contains the benefits of so and so natural ingredients, she portrayed in her videos how she was adding some things to it.. i saw her adding colors and fragrances to various cream bases and she herself coned the creams into their packaging boxes. That's when I realized how fake is this cosmetic market. And how easy it is for people to come up with new brands and claim yourself to be a skin expert, when actually you know nothing about it.

I'm glad Shreya being an established influencer is talking about these brands. There was a point of time last year mamaearth was everywhere, even on non-beauty videos. That itself is a reason not to trust something. 😅 But would also want Shreya to talk about the negatives of Nykaa skincare.
i heard from a friend of mine who is a part of a influencer group where they are told to buy certain products of brands like wow and mama earth and get full refund if they give 5 stars and positive reviews...If they give negative review the review gets deleted and u don't get ur money back!!!... so all those positive amazon reviews u are seeing are coming from such groups and people..so stay away from them...

The most problematic of them all in my opinion is Patanjali. A brand that leaves no stone unturned with marketing. A brand that has failed to clear their animal testing stance in spite of me trying to contact them over the years so many many times. I stopped when I discovered they are directly involved in animal testing. Even though it is for medical purposes, I believe global biggies like Patanjali need to focus on how to find non-animal testing methods. Animal testing of pharmaceuticals is followed globally, I know, but still, I condemn this brand. Will speak about this in a video soon. I could add so many more to this list of yours, but for different reasons obviously. Himalaya, Lotus Herbals, Swiss Beauty, etc. I made two videos last year about them all, on similar notes. Hats off to you and your honesty, something very rare these days.

We have to change our ingredient list twice. 1st time it was when we had aligned with ecocert and had to make changes to our ingredients as per our approved certifications. This took us a little time to align both website and packaging but we ensure to keep social media and emails updated. However, we are sorry that this msg could not reach you. The second time was when had packaging change. But this time we ensured that there was no loss in terms of ingredients mismatch. I have tried 10 products so far from earth rhythm, 7 of them worked amazingly well for me, 5 of them are on repeat order. The 3 that didn't work for me are their tinted lip balm, solid conditioner bar and sunscreen. I love their serums, they have transformed my skin. Been using for about 8 months now. So I feel, not every product will suit you, or get you the desired results quickly.

I've used a lot of wow products and I've had a really positive experience to be honest, with ALL the products. And once I became more aware about the ingredients and stuff I bought their body lotion and sunscreen after checking the whole ingredient list provided on their website and it was pretty good.

I hope you get your response from shreya.....but as per my experience please don't try their haircare range shampoo, conditioner, serum etc. They are bad. I had such a bad hairfall. With no exaggeration I would have gone bald if I used it a couple of times more. Just don't .
Khadi actually has multiple brands that use the name khadi as a prefix. I think you will need to specify which khadi brand you want to know about. Also, If you really want to buy the actual khadi brands I would suggest checking a khadi Bhandar so that you get genuine khadi products.

MamaEarth needs to be called out since so long. I’m fed up with bloggers putting a 3-4 minutes script promoting their products in the video and then claiming it to be unsponsored specially people like thatquirkymiss. We don’t mind bloggers getting sponsorship but be transparent with your audience atleast.

I tested Patanjali Products in my basic Chemistry Lab of 11th Class and it's Turmeric, Red Spice, Milk, Ghee & so many other edible Products turned out to be Adulterated !

I’m so emotional right now. I used mamaearths ubtan body butter after watching a lot of TH-camrs talking about it. After using it for 3 4 days my body was full of ingrown hairs and severe body acne. I wrote a full review on their website and guess what my review was not even published!!

I never found a problem with minimalist! India headed towards chemical skincare and it provided. It works, not shady.. everything's perfect!

the Good Vibes aloe Vera gel is one of my favourite products as well, it's colourless and has some fragrance, but it gives such a shine to the skin
I would personally add earth rhythm to this list. Bought their rosehip seed oil , it has colorants in it. Stains my hands yellow and having previously used rosehip oils, i know they dont stain. Plus msgd them about the same, no response whatsoever.

I would advise you not to get the brand although I’ve only tried 2 products. They’re not transparent w their ingredient list. I think it was the niacinamide serum.
I personally bought rosehip oil. Ingredient list said 100% pure cold pressed oil but it has colr in it which just blows my mind and it was for like 600-800!
But their niacinamide and photo gel works wonder for my skin especially niacinamide serum

Biotique has so much of fragrance in all its products that I literally get headaches from their use.
I used biotique anti hairfall therapeutic bhringraj oil after seeing it's soo many +ve reviews on amazon but after using it my hair fall rate increased .

All right so please bear with me. This video just popped up in my feed and i happened to watch it. This is a completely new channel to me, and i am deffo subscribing. I am very impressed by how blatantly honest she is. I am not into makeup and skincare so i haven't really used a lot of brands, just the common drugstore ones. I have a suggestion for you, which, if you end up liking, you can maybe turn into a series. So, hear me out please! 😅 A lot of brands has more than one lipstick range, with varying different lipstick formulas. Let's take Nykaa for example. There's So matte, Ultra maatte, Matte luxe, So creme, Wonderpuff, Paintstix, Mattelicious, the Masaba collection, Matte to last, Molten matte, Demi matte! Most people buy lipsticks based on the formula and colour, and a lot of people like to stick with the same brands that they have tried and tested and have found good results with. Soooo... My suggestion is, dupes with the same brand of the most popular lipstick shades! For Nykaa, some of the most popular shades would be Jade rose, Monalisa, Diana, Basic, Pillow fight, Irish Coffee, Artisanal coffee, Cool guy, Nefertiti, Let it snooze and you could make a video of trying to find dupes of these colours from within the various lipstick ranges Nykaa has to offer! You can do the same for Lakme, Huda beauty, Mac and all the thousands of brands we know! It could be an interesting series.. I don't think anyone has ever done anything similar to this, so I don't know how this will end up working, I just had an interesting idea, and decided to give it to one of my favourite TH-camrs 🤍

I dont think so. I used many of their products and i think all of them have chemicals. Like their facewash, you can’t create a facewash like that without adding chemicals. Also, their creams. I’m damn sure that they’re using chemicals, they’re just not mentioning it, which is wrong.

My problem with Nykaa is how they manage to come up with SO MANY products in days. Any person who has the faintest idea about how the cosmetics industry works will know that it is just not possible to launch range after range in such little time. I just feel all these brands (WOW, Nykaa, Mamaearth) actually have some kind of mass manufacturing unit where there are gallons of stuff being created and deals are handed out to middlemen. I just avoid these brands like plague. Thank you, Shreya for being the voice for the sane buyer. For others who want to continue endorsing and buying these brands, well, suit yourself.
I think a huge majority of brands especially wow, just slap on new packaging and switch up the fragrance for items like shampoo and conditioner, moisturizer and cleansers especially. With makeup, it's so obviously done by nykaa brand between the lipsticks from nykaa and masaba. They're literally the same shades and formula with different packaging. Lakme does this a lot too.
All cosmetics are the same. They have a similar base and change up only few ingredients and concentrations,Unless they have a research and development centre which is very rare for cosmetic brands espet the new ones. Cosmetics like drugs are mass manufactured by third parties. There's nothing wrong with it. That's how products are affordable. But the problem is with them not being transparent with ingredients. Mass manufacturing doesn't essentially mean bad products. Businesses make money only this way
Recently i saw a known of mine starting her own beauty brand at home just by repasting new and fancy stickers over cheap creams and all. For her own satisfaction and for giving a label that the cream or shampoo contains the benefits of so and so natural ingredients, she portrayed in her videos how she was adding some things to it.. i saw her adding colors and fragrances to various cream bases and she herself coned the creams into their packaging boxes.
That's when I realized how fake is this cosmetic market. And how easy it is for people to come up with new brands and claim yourself to be a skin expert, when actually you know nothing about it.
Unless you start slathering plant mush directly from the tree onto your skin ..no cosmetic product can be “au naturale”!

i heard from a friend of mine who is a part of a influencer group where they are told to buy certain products of brands like wow and mama earth and get full refund if they give 5 stars and positive reviews...If they give negative review the review gets deleted and u don't get ur money back!!!... so all those positive amazon reviews u are seeing are coming from such groups and people..so stay away from them...

The most problematic of them all in my opinion is Patanjali. A brand that leaves no stone unturned with marketing. A brand that has failed to clear their animal testing stance in spite of me trying to contact them over the years so many many times. I stopped when I discovered they are directly involved in animal testing. Even though it is for medical purposes, I believe global biggies like Patanjali need to focus on how to find non-animal testing methods. Animal testing of pharmaceuticals is followed globally, I know, but still, I condemn this brand. Will speak about this in a video soon.
I could add so many more to this list of yours, but for different reasons obviously. Himalaya, Lotus Herbals, Swiss Beauty, etc. I made two videos last year about them all, on similar notes. Hats off to you and your honesty, something very rare these days.

I have tried 10 products so far from earth rhythm, 7 of them worked amazingly well for me, 5 of them are on repeat order. The 3 that didn't work for me are their tinted lip balm, solid conditioner bar and sunscreen. I love their serums, they have transformed my skin. Been using for about 8 months now.
So I feel, not every product will suit you, or get you the desired results quickly.

But my problem with the company was regarding the transparency over the ingredient list... What was written on the website, was not what was delivered to me... So on basis of that, I mentioned the comment here
I've used a lot of wow products and I've had a really positive experience to be honest, with ALL the products. And once I became more aware about the ingredients and stuff I bought their body lotion and sunscreen after checking the whole ingredient list provided on their website and it was pretty good.

They are bad. I had such a bad hairfall. With no exaggeration I would have gone bald if I used it a couple of times more. Just don't .
Used their rose water and it was amazing! Cannot comment on other products as I haven't tried them
I use their soaps and shampoos.. they seem to work well for me though.
Khadi actually has multiple brands that use the name khadi as a prefix.
I think you will need to specify which khadi brand you want to know about.
Also, If you really want to buy the actual khadi brands I would suggest checking a khadi Bhandar so that you get genuine khadi products.

Mamaearth onion range gave me such tremendous hairfall.. as soon as i stopped using it... My hairfall just vanished ooof

So true. Its cucumber toner reacted with my skin really bad. Almost every product had a very chemical smell😕

@@beautifit9673 my skin started breaking out. It contains alcohol and I am alergic to it. My skin got darker around my lips. So yes. Stopped using it once I realized it was the toner creating problem.
