I have normal scalp and hair not so dry nor oily but this dot and key shampoo dryed my hair badly ….. its just smells nice thats it ….. i dont think so it’s good for damage hair at all 😮
I faced the same problem with ordinary’s niacinamide serum. And i agree about the conscious chemist body lotion,it smells bad and it’s tacky on my skin.
Initially, when I used conscious chemist body exfoliator cream for strawberry skin, I felt that its not doing anything and its texture is too thick for my liking. But later, I decided to give it one more try and tried to be consistent with it. Used it on alternate days consistently, and it actually helped me get rid of strawberry skin.

I'm definitely trying out the deconstruct cleansing balm. Also Meenakshi my mom has suffered from severe tanning while cooking in sun and we have been taking treatment from a dermat(she uses kojic acid, and retinol at night, and a very high strength vit c 20% by fix derma, along with a good, sweat resistant sunscreen) but she has become quite disappointed as she cannot really see an improvement(she has been following this very sincerely since last year). Can tretinoin help in this case?
The routine seems right to me honestly but if she has tolerance to high strength actives then 20% vitamin c is fine or else that combined with Kojic can become too sensitising. Also the quantity of sunscreen matters. How much earlier to sun exposure does she wear it etc. If she is genuinely doing it for over a year and still it is not helping then the underlying cause behind the pigmentation could be something else. I think she needs a more precise consultation with an experienced dermat before moving on to tretinoin blindly because there are tens of other hormones related issues also in slightly older women. Specially after having gone through a religious dermat prescribed routine for over a year I don’t think you should move on to tretinoin or any other prescription based medication. This is what I would do if I were in her place.
