Join me as we practice Image for Solo Flute by French composer Eugène Bozza (1905-1991). We will go through the piece focusing on memorization, with a discussion of three key techniques: visual, auditory and spatial/physical memorization, with a brief detour into my experience with grapheme-color synesthesia. We'll also take a guess as to what "Image" Bozza had in mind when he composed this solo flute work.
