    I've been using the River 2 Max for camping/hunting. I connect it to a 120w solar panel and run a 52qt 12v refrigerator cooler and it stays at 100% charge. The battery level drops at night and the solar panel is enough to bring it back to 100% before it gets dark. I can run it indefinitely. I also use it for a small coffee maker, charge phones and laptop, an air mattress with a built in A/C pump, etc. It has done everything I asked of it. It even ran our 23 sq ft home refrigerator for 4 hours when the power went out. It's a great unit.

      He didn't show how solar panels hook to it......does your panel have the 8mm or Anderson?

    I just got the river 2 max/ solar panel bundle at a great price.
    Wanted to thank you for the most thorough and logical testing and review of this product.
    Now I know exactly what it can do.
    Thanks again,

    You got me at steak and coffee. Thanks for doing the extreme cold weather tests. Where I live it's cold. I'm more concerned about losing electricity in the winter than in the summer.

    I actually jumped in on Kickstarter for EcoFlow when they 1st hit the market, so I was a VERY early adopter.
    I've been wanting to get back to going camping now that I have more time in my life, but I didn't want to scare the wildlife or let the bears know that I had moved in by my snoring, so I wanted to bring my CPAP machine. It's an older model, and uses 60W. I recently got my EcoFlow River 2 Max 500 and i charged it up and used it to power my CPAP machine and it was great! Lasted all night long (7+ hours) and it was whisper quiet. I'm very impressed. I look forward to many years together.
    Thank you for your video, it was great to see it in those conditions. I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum, and live down in El Paso, TX; the desert southwest, where the temperatures finally dropped out of the 90's the last week of NOVEMBER 2024. I'm doing some serious shopping and comparing for a 100w to 200w solar panels for the EcoFlow.

    I got two delta pros and two smart batteries, a duel fuel generator and smart home panel. I'm blown away by how well its doing, I'm currently using 1000w of solar and will double that in a month. I use it daily and have already been saving on my power bill.

    Another great feature of the Ecoflow units is the EPS... you can use it as a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) I have 4 of these in all sizes... R2 (river 2), Max and Pro... I use the R2 as a backup for my internet (Modem, Router, Wifi and a switch)... so if the power goes out.... the internet stays on for about 7 hours with the R2. Another one is powering my TV, cable box and a light in the living room... That will stay on for about 9 hours with the max... and a 3rd (Pro) is hooked up to my work / gaming computer. That will run for about 8 hours. The other max I have I use for the fridge and other kitchen stuff if needed.
    Just plug them into the wall as if you wanted to charge them... then hook up the device that you want to stay on in case of an outage... This would be a life saver for someone on a CPAP machine.
    I also turn the charge speed WAY down to about 200 watts from the app... if I need it to charge faster, I can always turn it up. I don't like hitting the cells that hard all the time.

      Thats the way to go. I like your setup. I'm just thinking about powering my TV and wifi modem in the case of a power blackout. I just purchased the EF R Max and can't wait to put it to the test.

    If I am right... running in that cold of temperatures will degrade your batteries, and you won't get those 3000 charges lifecycles for 10 years.
    Great video!

    • @JustinsProject
      @JustinsProject  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, you are correct, and the manufacturer does not recommend operating in extreme conditions. However, in emergency situations, it's nice to know that it would operate and potentially save lives. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏻

    I love these Ecoflows. I had the original river then got the river-2 (not as powerful can't make coffee) Then moved up to the River 2 Max and pro then even got a Delta-2 for the big stuff. I guess I'm just addicted to these cool power stations.

    ❤️ I totally enjoyed watching her video. We just recently got the same Power Station Eco flow river 2

    But but but … can you use this exact echo flow River 2 to heat a tent with a small electric heater?? Thoughts?

    • @JustinsProject
      @JustinsProject  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It depends on the max watts your heater will be using. You can run a 500w item on this for about 1 hour if at full charge. I hope that helps. I reviewed a larger power station that would do better with little heaters.

    A standard fridge will not run all the time, so you can get much longer than 3 hours on it. I got 9 hours out of mine with the R2Max.... almost 15 on the pro... Calculations are one thing, but real world is another.
