The EcoFlow River 2 Pro has been one of the best portable power stations for camping or light emergency backup solutions, however the market is constantly growing with new competition! EcoFlow is known for making some of the best larger units (like the Delta Pro and the Delta Pro Ultra), but when it comes to smaller ones, we think there's some room for improvement, especially when comparing it to the all new Anker C800X. We would also LOVE to try out all the testing that EcoFlow did when they filmed their video thrashing on the River.. so if this video gets to 1,000 Likes, we will re-create that video! 👨🏼💻 The Solar Lab: www.thesolarlab.com We maintain an affiliate relationship with some of the products reviewed, which means we get a small percentage of a sale if you click our links, at no cost to our viewers.
Good vid..you don't need to break things but real world stuff would be helpful. Like normal drop tests, ie. Falling out of a truck to the ground. Maybe some moisture tests for humid days and humid tents and light rain or a drink spill. Dust and dirt. And environmental hot and cold conditions and any effects it may have. Thanks keep up the good info!
The fan was ramping up and down @6:47 because the load was increasing and decreasing. Pretty simple. More load requires more cooling. If you plugged it in to something that was a constant load, the fan runs at a constant speed according to the load.
So I just watched to your video on the anker C300. anker said it charges 100% in 1 hr, you tested it at 1h 8 min. You said still within range so it's good. This video, ecoflow says 1 hr to charge, you tested it at 1h 3min and said it's a little disappointing and it does not math.....WHAT?😂
just saying that i don't care for lights on the ecoflow river 2 pro. lights or no lights, this thing im using as a UPS and tbh im getting 7 hours at least using the desktop computer powered.
200 watts of solar is plenty. Works great to quickly charge my larger Delta Pro 2. Bring your own flashlight. River is small unless the price is right 🎈
I got the normal River 2 (with 300w inverter and UPS, I use it for my wifi and TV) for basically free. I did some extra work looking after kids last summer and the local government gave me a ton of gift cards at the new year. That price was right!
I'll check your review of the Anker, but part of my leaning towards the EcoFlow is the 5 yr warrantee. Big for me. Plus I could care less about a lite!!! But that anger looks interesting.... Thx for your review.
Pretty much every Power Station today has an Xboost type feature and they all basically work the same. Its primarily useful for handling spikes when an appliance is turned on. So your main drawbacks noted are: is ugly, boost feature works as advertised. This "review" reads as an advertisment for Anker. The fact that the Anker is a good bit larger really undermines the comparison since the River series is about portability. This entire review really misses the mark.
Hi, I am curious. It seems that the river 2 pro and I suspect others self drain rather quickly as in 80% over 2 months. Is this due to the bluetooth /wifi searching for a connection, can it be turned of in a hibernation setting ? Thanks
Too bad that Anker can't sell their powerstations on my country while they already had their stores exist in the mall, just selling small powerbanks only. Btw, it is also made in china same as ecoflow. I will go with brand with local store for aftersales support.
Try turning the screen on in a dark room and you'll find the light! I use mine as a UPS, I had to put electrical tape over the screen. It's blurry, but can still be read quite clearly through the tape!
This is being sold on auction en masses, Costco still has a lot unsold. It's a problematic model, you only get half of the rated capacity if you're lucky.
@pauljansen6650 LOL! There's an auction where they put this up for auction three at one bid. They sell for around 400-600 for all three. It's almost sold out at Costco. And yes, I've seen these units drop the hours anywhere from 50-60 soon as you turn the inverter on. Very inefficient model.
I was looking at getting the max as it was closer to my budget (on sale for $279) but ended up getting a used Pro from ecoflow on ebay for $299. Hopefully it hasn't been used for the last 8 years 😂

No light? Use a phone a flashlight or headlamp. You’re going camping everyone carries head lamps when you camp
Everyone has a light on their phone too.

He's biased because I don't get it.

I hate the light, ha ha ha... and I have flash lights everywhere for power-outs.

mhmm thats why i said idc about the light on the ecoflow river 2 pro, keep the price down as well.

@@worldcomicsreview354 i am so glad for ya :D
He just looking for faults where none exists
They literally say it will take 70 minutes to charge
Yeah wtf? Just over an hour to charge, but under 70 minutes, I think he forgot how to math
I'll check your review of the Anker, but part of my leaning towards the EcoFlow is the 5 yr warrantee. Big for me. Plus I could care less about a lite!!! But that anger looks interesting....
Thx for your review.
May you please review the EcoFlow Delta 2 Max?
got the river pro 2 for 259 couple days ago so cant complain about that
New or refurbished? 🎉
-Advertised to charge to full @ 70 mins
-Charges to full in 63 mins
-host: "Disappointing"
haha this youtube channel does not math

This machine is great you being petty
Who’s buying this for the Xboost? This shouldn’t even be a negative. Just buy something with more watts
I BOUGHT BLUETTI AND AM TOTALLY SATISFIED
ecoflow has a TUV certification and 5yr warranty.. what about the anker?
Hey.. great video... as you demonstrated the fan going up and down with the Ecoflow.. did it go up and down with the Anker.. ?
I was really hoping for a video to explain the screen reading
Hi, I am curious. It seems that the river 2 pro and I suspect others self drain rather quickly as in 80% over 2 months. Is this due to the bluetooth /wifi searching for a connection, can it be turned of in a hibernation setting ? Thanks
Sooo bluetti AC70 would be better?
Thing is … when you actually know what to do with those 5521’s you miss them when they’re not included.
A light would make the unit look cheaper.a camper has headlamps,.edc flashlight no need for a light on unit.
Can you use other solar panel brands with it?
Great video! Totally love you OCD
with the lights! I have it too!
The first company to add paralleling capability will hit one out of the park !!
This doesn't need a light but solar charging should've been better at lease 350w

Not true at all lol

For $399 during prime time it’s an amazing deal!

Thanks for showing the X-Boost feature.
Helped me decide not to get this model.
Anker is 7lb heavier and it's bigger. Compare it to the D2. I'll still take the R2P for camping over this Anker.
Anyone who has the money to throw around an expensive thing like this power station... 👀👀👀👀
Dude no other reviewers said any of these things thank you
Guy never fails to mention how ugly EcoFlow products are lol
Hopefully they take the hint LOL
@@TheSolarLab What do you think is the nicest looking battery? - I like the Anker products.
I think they look great.
@@TheSolarLab You are an ANKER ambassador then.. did they pay you to do this review?. Stop being petty
Thats 9 1/2 minutes I wont get back. Useless "review".
