I have one and lost power last night and its been stored for about 8 months since the last use and it was still at 100%. I used it for my CPAP all nigh and still had 30% left this morning. I love it.
I have a deltaflow 2 but got this model river 2 max as well specifically for my CPAP . Wanted a separate unit for that. I have the airsense 10. I tested 16 hours, 8 hour standby (CPAP plugged in but not running) and 8 hour or runtime.(Real world I would have it unplugged until I need it) On my settings I used 260 WH. So I have no concern for using this for that as well as some smaller items. Bigger items I use the Delta. CPAP = Continuous positive Airway pressure. People who snore a lot or get a lack of air while sleeping will use a machine like this.
Just purchased one of these exact same ones from Amazon for $168.00 and am very happy with what it can do. Thank you for such a positive review of this power station.
I own a Ecoflow River 2 Max, the 513 wh one, the middle brother. We have rolling blackouts in South Africa, sometimes it is a daily occurrence and for a minimum of 2 hours at a time. These rolling blackouts are planned by our power supply company and to the degree where it will be timed from 4 pm to 6 pm, or from 8 pm to 10 pm. Perfect timing right when you get home from work. This device has been a life saver in terms of just relaxing in front of the TV. As you mentioned as well, I keep it plugged in, so no more surprises as I'm gaming, etc. Great device for any South African here thinking about this device, I'd maybe just recommend getting either the max or the bigger one like he has, the Pro.
I would like to thank you for the information. On ego flow power station I'm a late bloomer, and trying to prep And you're video, we're very informational. I'm a first time subscriber. Thank you
Saw another video that they tested the boost for the rev up of a fridge or other appliances. They saw it ramp up to 1600, way above the rated limit, but it did not cause the battery to fail, it allowed it for about 15 seconds before it ramped down. Although I wouldn't push it to that all the time, maybe an emergency situation.
In the office or in the garage I have found the original Ecoflow River to be very useful. The intended purpose is to battery power a Makita high amp cord drill and jig saw anywhere I need it. The bonus is the usefulness for hurricane preparedness where it powers LEDs and portable radios among other things. Solar panels do a good job of rapid recharging too. Yep...thumbs up on this brand :)
We RV and travel frequently and use portable power station all the time. My first was a Bluetti EB3A. The AC inverter failed after only a few months of infrequent use. I keep a VTOMAN Jump 1500x in my truck. It mainly serves to run my DC fridge, but it does have vehicle jump start capability. It works extremely well, but the top molded handle is less than ideal. My favorites, so far, are Pecron. I have a E600LFP and 2x E300LFP. The E300 is very similar to the Ecoflow River 2. However, it has a 600w (1200w peak) inverter and two 5.5x2.5 DC ports. I use the 5525 ports for DC fridges and a couple of other devices. The E600 is a mini-beast. It has a 1200w (2200 peak) inverter. That thing will run my electric cooking gear (kettle, skillet, rice cooker) with ease. Gone are the days of extension cords all along the camp ground. Also, we live near CCTX Bay. Power stations really help to reason with hurricane season.
thank you, I got this and the two pack of 100w solar panels! Awesome 5% off :D I have an Anker latern and I wanted the panels to use with the xt60 connector. Glad they have a deal with a free one :D
Ecowflow and Anker make good LiFePO4 battery power stations. I use a couple Anker F1200s for powering my refrigerator and computer workstation in case of a power outage (happens 2-3 times every winter). I also have a Honda 7000 watt gasoline generator for longer durations or when I need more power to run appliances.
i've had a river 2 pro for more than a year and a river 2 for 6 months, both have been excellent units. i use the river 2 in my work truck to run a hotlogic mini to heat up my lunch and also use it to charge up power tool batteries on job sites. it recharges quickly via the lighter socket in the truck, so i always start the workday with a full charge. another great feature of ecoflow is the xboost mode, i don't use it much on the river 2 but i use it a lot on the river 2 pro. with xboost on the river 2 pro, i can make toast in a 2-slot dualit toaster that uses about 1300 watts, even though the inverter in the pro is rated at 800 watts. 2 slices of toast in a cold toaster uses 9 percent battery, which really isn't bad. and it's fantastic to go camping and not have to improvise toast over a campfire or a stove..... xboost is only for resistive loads, but it's a very useful feature to have.
Great review, just ordered one with a solar panel and I’m hoping it works well with my Camco 350! Subscribed and now have to go through your other videos!
Great video! Yes my UPS is hooked to my work desk as well and I love it, but it is the "other" brand you mention. These both supply about the same wattage. Your Ecoflow looks nice. Thanks!
I don't really see why a laptop needs an Uninterruptable power source, laptops have onboard batteries. A desktop on the other hand... and a Cpap, you bet. That being said, I just bought both the River 2 and River 2 Max, both with solar panels. I read up a lot on features, benefits, and warranties. I went with Ecoflo after a lot of research. I have a 3600kw generator from which I can run the fridge, freezer, small space heaters, microwave, and a window AC unit. Not all at the same time of course. But the generator is not pure sine, which is hard on computers. I can charge my Ecoflows via the generator or solar panels, and then use those to run the wifi, tv, computers, and to charge cell phones.
im using the ecoflow river 2 pro, however, im thinking of getting bluetti and getting that plugged up when or if the power grid goes down i'll have like at least 7 to 10 hours of runtime on my ecoflow river 2 pro, if i get the ac180 and hook that in into my ecoflow river 2 pro, then i'll have over 1,100WH of run time, meaning i could get like 15 to maybe roughly 16 hours of runtime. running both monitors. i also have an APC ups backups as well, so that also will give me enough time when or if the electricity doesn't come back up within the time period. that there is another 30 or so minutes, i had this for the past 8 months now. and its still growing strong. and when i had my laptop plugged into my ecoflow river 2 pro, i was getting 20 hours of runtime so at least a full days and a half of a night. it was fluctuating though. between the times since it was on load when windows was booting up. this is a fantastic review. i might buy this as well. a long with the bluetti.
After reaching out to Ecoflow with a few questions it left me a little confused. I asked about daisy chaining two of them. Was told they do NOT recommended as have to connect AC out to AC in with Power loss. Ok so no DC to DC connector? They suggested River 2 pro as - now get this can " pass thru " charge!!!!!. Are they saying the river 2 Can't pass thru AND charge. What use is that?? Would not make sense for a UPS/EPS unit. Your thoughts
There's another option, the Max is the middle size one. The smallest version will most likely be too small for a fridge. The Max will run my portable fridge about 1-2 days I think, based on a short trial run. I have a generator as well that I could use to charge it as needed. Plus solar panels. The larger Pro will last longer than the other two.
I have not personally done this. But I read the manual a few weeks ago and it addresses this issue. If your fridge doesn't kick on often enough, the power bank turns off to save power. You can change this setting in the app to "Never shut off automatically ".
@@yellowdog762jb this is true. my river 2 and river 2 pro both had power saving on as default, and i used the app to change them to stay on all the time.

Well, I am not sure if my Ecoflow River 2 is a dud.. but sure it can power a laptop, but nope, it can't power my printer. I don't think the in-rush current limit on River 2 is that high. The printer on powering up literally trips the circuit in River 2, causing the printer to abruptly shut down. Don't even think about operating an air pump to pump your flat tire either. It does not work.
Mine also does not perform at all like the videos I’ve seen. Mine loses power daily while in storage. It cannot run my sump pump, which is why I got it. It runs a much smaller pump, running about 75 watts, but only lasts a couple hours before needing recharging. It does recharge fast though.
