After a rebranding of our hotel; the uniform was altered to Black polyester pants and a Burgundy polo shirt. Now this hotel has housekeeping staff wearing surgical scrubs; honestly I would’ve preferred surgical scrubs over the polo shirt and polyester pants. Hospitality uniforms aren’t meant to be stylish just practical. Nothings more practical than surgical scrubs as they cost about $10 for tops and pants, versus $15 for a polo shirt and $25 for polyester pants without finished cuffs.

I even wrote a 3 page step by step guide, but they never used it because they "know what I'm doing". Luckily the company eventually listened to complaints and someone from higher up decided to follow us for a week, the team lead "volunterily handed in notice" three days in to the oversight.
Story 5- this reminds me of when I worked at a little grocery store called corner market and I did not recognize the owner's wife because this was my first time ever seeing her. Our air conditioner was broke so it was on constantly no matter what time of year and the store was freezing, after so many people complained The store manager and the assistant manager told us all that whenever a customer complained to ask them to please file a complaint with corporate to help us get this situation addressed. Well when his wife complained about how frigid the store was I repeated the line that I was told to say to customers when they complained unbeknownst to me from that moment on I was my coworker's hero and put a target on my back with the manager. Ended up getting fired two months later because I was pregnant and not married, I know it wasn't legal but I didn't have it in writing.

Unfortunately so many ppl know that's BS, but they really need the job atm, so they don't make waves & just let it go, rather than calling the boss' bluff

I work for a kitchen similar to that. Mostly corporate doing corporate stuff, but we have one person working at a time. I never am able to get out on time because it's physically impossible unless I start closing 6 hours early. It's always the people who don't even do the job that make the job harder. Her boss found a way to boost sales by selling to local mom/pop grocery stores. He started complaining that she wasn't making enough donuts for all the orders until she pointed out how long it takes to make each batch... not counting the time spent at the counter. There were times when the staff wouldn't show up so she'd have to work 2 shifts back-to-back, but the day the owner didn't have staff for the 3rd shift in a row, she told him she was giving away the donuts. My job is super picky about not clocking in even a minute before your scheduled time. A minute or two after they are lenient with, as that can be chalked up to delays at the time clock when many people all clock in at once. We have only a couple different start times, so there are always multiple people clocking in at the same time. Clock outs on the other hand are the exact opposite, there the lenience still applies to some degree for supervisors, as they have to be last out.

If it was a High-Roller Event and the Casino only lost a Million Dollars for being down a day and a half means that's a fairly small Casino... A Casino in Las Vegas or Atlantic City would be losing around a Million per hour or so...
i'm still amazed how far lazy late people will go to excuse or make other ways to excuse their lateness besides just moving their asses 5-10minutes earlier than usual
In the 1st story Walter should've been fired right along with Todd, not just transferred. As for the 4th story in what world is inappropriate & unprofessional for a nurse to wear scrubs on the job in a nursing facility. Scrubs are made to help make ur job easier & allow u the mobility to do certain tasks. If anything was unprofessional it was being made to wear khakis & slacks as they inhibit range of motion & patient could get hurt. As a matter of fact pretty much every hospital, medical facility & nursing/care facility that I've ever been in or worked u could get in trouble for not wearing scrubs. Also she wanted them to dress differently bc she didn't want her nursing facility to seem like a nursing facility, wtf!?! Some ppl just shouldn't have certain jobs, bc worrying about what the nurses, CNAs & techs wore, outside of being inappropriate for real, should've been the least of her priorities when maintaining a facility whose main job was to take care of elderly ppl
3rd op is kind of in the wrong. I agree that his work is a bit unreasonable, but personally, I'd leave earlier or take a different route to account for the chance of a delay. It's why I always leave an hour early for my 20 minute commute. Sometimes I get there 40 minutes early, others I get there 10 minutes early. It's a part of life and he's unprofessional.
story 4 : it's ridiculous how this policy is ever be okay, if your workplace have a certain uniform for their workers, it shouldnt be provided by the workers, as it will create different clothings bought, and defeats the purpose of the uniform!! even if it's color based like kakhi, there are still so many shades of them, why implement uniform rules if it ended up with each person wearing different things anyway?
Story 2 has some errors, op said they showed up next day or so with the cameras still being down, and yet they watched thru cctv the Todd guy being fired. Either the story is made up or op is leaving out details

As someone who works at a pizza store, I applaud the guy in the first story
If custom pants are so expensive and he needs to kneel on the carpet which damages his pants, then he should wear knee pads to both save his knees (kneeling on the floor without protection can cause long term damage) and his pants (so the rough, hard carpet doesn't wear holes in the fabric)...
Story 4: The only thing the Boss could have pointed out was the "appropriate" in the flyer. But when they decide to play the dresscode by word and not by intention they get what they deserve
A million dollars? At a high stakes table in a casino? It sounds like no one was there. I have seen million dollar ante, not to mention pots.
Getting a pizza restaurant cleaned up 15 minutes after close? That dude is fucking insane for thinking that that’s even possible unless it’s a really slow night and there’s nothing else going on and you started the closing process before closing time that’s never gonna happen
Juicy ?!!! Lmao 🤣
22:42 i was about to say:
Not its not XD
You're a cashier, you are suppose to work not talk
Then i remembered how american cashiers are, and all were clear
Second story: Seems to me that Walter was just as much at fault as Todd for not giving a crap about what OP was trying to tell him and for doing nothing about it. He must've had a lot of pull with the CEO if he wasn't fired (or worse) on the spot.
Story 2: Todd must’ve really wanted to get fired because I cannot understand what was going on in his pea sized brain
If it was a High-Roller Event and the Casino only lost a Million Dollars for being down a day and a half means that's a fairly small Casino...
A Casino in Las Vegas or Atlantic City would be losing around a Million per hour or so...
With regards to the Casino story. Fines apart, the casino may have lost a million or so, but regular punters lost nothing.
gained millions rather
i'm still amazed how far lazy late people will go to excuse or make other ways to excuse their lateness besides just moving their asses 5-10minutes earlier than usual
Story 2: effing Todd.
If boss has problems with me starting work 30 seconds late I want money for every 30 seconds I'm early or leaving late as it's on my time.
For story #5, how idiot Karen's get their jobs is a mystery.
Hiii hope you are having good day Darkfluff! Along with everyone else!
I don't feel bad for the casino either. Oh no they lost a million dollars. So what, that's like 0.1% of their money
Oh, I'll stop when that point is removed from my record. If another point pops up I'll resume. You can have it one way or the other.
I'm 6' 6" so I understand the trouble of finding clothes and blowing out the knees.
Good stories today
Dark Fluff, if you haven’t done so already, you need to do a reading of the Trash Room story from Not Always Right (the Epic of the Impossible Store)…
4th story- should of worn a kilt!
Day 3 of asking for a new r/IDoWorkHereLady video
Agreed. I miss them.
You can get a broom at the buck and a quarter tree for $2.50 (head + handle $1.25 each)...
How did they show you what happened with Todd on the monitors if all the cameras were down in the casino?!?! And casino cameras don't have sound.
Hear me out. ..Mandex Mondays.
I though college book stores(that are on the campus) were run/own by the college itself.
And to add to the visual absurdity the word 'juicy' was plastered on the butt.
Hello Darkfluff
How does the black lettering show up on black yoga pants?
It was one minute ago how am I not first???????
Last story is bs. A store went to shit without OP? Ya right. You’re a cashier. You’re a dime a dozen
I understand why OP was upset with clocking in late because of the train. But it really is on you to make sure your at work on time. Its called being an adult
That's not really always the case because sometimes things can happen that prevents you from being on time. It's one thing being an adult but being penalized for something like that is still stupid.
You leave at a reasonable time to arrive early -- but an accident shuts down the highway. That's not your fault.
And freight trains don't always run on a schedule.
@@rcrawford42 I understand where you are coming from. But OP also mentioned this happens often. It's not some random traffic jam that no one saw coming. OP knows a train could be blocking the road.
@@tailsofchaos not when OP mentioned it happens once in a while. It's not some random event that no one saw coming. OP knew it was a possibility

Hey Fluff, I think its time to bring back pro revenge or something else if you're gonna keep posting videos with the same stories in them.
Huh, im early
Has two very old stories. 👎
First.
Cool story bro... except security cameras don't record audio, that's illegal.
First!
Too many bots on this channel now...
Bye I guess 🫡
Story 2: Well, Todd, you just wanted to go home and not be bothered, and you got all that, plus unemployment. NG!!
Getting a pizza restaurant cleaned up 15 minutes after close? That dude is fucking insane for thinking that that’s even possible unless it’s a really slow night and there’s nothing else going on and you started the closing process before closing time that’s never gonna happen
