This was one of those classic and beautiful songs originally sung by one of my favourite duos as a teenager Roxette. ❤ I stumbled across Dino's cover of this song while searching for another and was instantly drawn to it. While he definitely paid homage to the original by Roxette, he really made it his own. In my humble opinion Dino's is the best cover I've heard!!! 🥰 I loved his voice for he has great range and tone. And to be honest I'm a bit of a sucker for an accent in a vocal which he clearly has. I also vibed with the band for they all sounded amazing, especially the bass and drums. For their overall musicality and harmonies with Dino were on point!!! 💯🔥 I did notice there were no backing vocalists, for the band can obviously all sing and hold the backing so well. My thoughts: This song to me is about lost love, regret and the feeling that the person could and should have fought harder to keep the relationship alive. The person is feeling rather melancholy because of their deep longing for something they once had but can no longer have. And while they may be suffering heartbreak, they really need to move on. Because excessive longing can be damaging to your energy, so you must remain in the present and look to the future. This year Lena Philipsson replaced the late Marie as the new lead vocalist.
