    I don’t do anything model train-y but I love watching this project develop. So inspiring and admirable - keep it up!

    Great work your doing, the detailing involved in laying the track and making the turnouts is incredible...can't wait to see the unique touches pop up. p.s...don't forget Dystopia. Excellent work as always.Happy Holidays🎄

    I have said it before and I will continue to say it: I cannot wait to see the end of this project! Im not familiar with the location but Im assuming that some great structures will be made to compliment the rail system!! I cant wait for those either!

    I found your channel by looking at (Outland models) which I really enjoy having on my layout. And down the wormhole I went !!!! 😂 I have just about watched every video you have made. I simply LOVE your builds and videography !!! Thanks for sharing and hope to see an update soon.

      Thank you! The Outland model buildings has so many options. I found it really inspiring. Also, it made me more fearless as they were affordable, so I wasn't concerned with wrecking and expensive kit.

    Always looking forward to these updates, and the project is coming together nicely. I think it has reached a point where it just comes to live. There's no buildings or paint, but at this stage, you can start to see how everything will fit in together, the scales and dimensions and so on and it's going to be a beauty!
    The 14-inch curve looks much nicer than the previous layout. It just looks more "right", if you catch my drift. Like it can breath better, so to speak. So even if it's a bid disappointing to redo the entire thing, it was well worth the effort. Goes to show: You can plan on paper all you want, the moment you put stuff together, you run into things like the trains barely being able to pass one another in a tight curve or the gradient being too steep for a train to climb it, but that's part of the process.
    Also, don't you think I didn't see those cute little hearts on the fly-under. It's a labor of love, I can tell lol
    Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

    • @NScaleDystopia

      As much as I work digitally, there is still no equivalent to 'tactile experimentation'. I was disappointed to redo some of the track, but I didn't dislike doing it... so it all worked out.
      And yes... there have been loving vandals armed with markers tagging the benchwork.

      @@NScaleDystopia Making it by hand is part of the appeal and overcoming obstacles or adjusting small details makes it all the more satisfying.
      Much like the expansion added to the side, when you're standing in front of the project, you get kissed by a muse and just go with the flow.
      As said earlier, I am not a model train guy, I'm more of a miniature painting guy, but it's similar, you plan a basic layout for a miniature and the base and then you go "well, how about adding this" or "I wanted to do it this way, but that's not gonna work... so how about I just..."
      And that's where the magic happens.

    Great job , always wanted to do my own turnouts , looks "fun" to do 😉
    Your radius that you use for the curve are a bit tight for the RAPIDO VIA cars , did you change the couplers ?
    Congrats and Happy New Year !!!

    • @NScaleDystopia
      @NScaleDystopia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The turnouts aren't fun so much as they are satisfying. 😉 As for the Rapido cars, I didn't modify anything and they perform really well. (I was surprised)

      @louisletourneau3429 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NScaleDystopia I have pretty long radius curve 19" most of the time and I had to change the couplers to a longer shank and also grinded the beam under each car above each axles because they were touching that center beam and they were rolling like a piano on the beach ....
