Harleen Sandhu it’s adultery before marriage it’s a very big sin in Islam except for those who repent. :)

You can still stay away from zina without marrying. There’s no need to rush in a marriage you’re not ready for or marrying someone you’re not compatible with.

Yess please talk more about the year you guys were apart!! I also had my nikkah young (I had just turned 21). We wanted to have a halal relationship, but it’s so hard cause we’re not living together yet. We’re trying to focus on studies before we start a life together. People don’t realize how tuff it is , especially as a girl I feel sad that I can’t be with him more often. I’m happy that we chose to do our nikkah alhumdulillah but it would be nice to hear about someone who understands what I’m going through :)

Your story is lovely. I was 14 year old when I meet my fiancy and 2years later we decided to get married but It took my parent 2 years to say yes! And when they said yes I was 20years old and I was at my 2year of accountants at university and we just did the engagement ceremony. They said we should wait a whole year before the wedding so that will be this year and if everything goes well we will do the wedding this year and think about kids😊 thanks for sharing your story 😘

Zeinah you beautiful woman, you make me laugh especially with your facial expressions about the time you put your foot down!😂 😂 Masha Allah you're so brave and confident & it's good you was open and honest about marriage to your parents - it's important to have that relationship with your parents. Yeah, please do a video about the long distance marriage you had at 1 point & how were you sure that you was making the right decision? Only because I would've been too afraid to even think about marriage at 16 let alone approach my parents about it. You mentioned that you were both studying when you got married and neither were working so did not having financial stability concern either of you? How did you and your husband meet? I personally think it's better to get married young, less haraam and things just seem to get harder as you grow older e.g finding decent guys. May Allah (SWT) continue you to bless your marriage with lots of happiness, barakah, success & may the Almighty always shower his mercy & blessings on you both always. Aameen ❤️

Thank you for this video. I’m currently in a similar situation.
I’m 18, 19 in a couple weeks and I’ve been speaking to a guy for a couple months now. Within 3 months of talking we decided to get the parents involved. Before telling my parents, like you said, I was planting the seed so it isn’t all of a sudden. A couple weeks before telling my parents I asked my dad what would he do if I chose my own spouse. Surprisingly he said he’s happy as long as I’m happy and it’s good family, he’s a good guy etc. So fast forward a couple weeks, I decide to tell my parents. My dad definitely took it a lot better than my mum, but the answer was a big no. They told me to block him and never talk to him again.
It’s been almost 2 months now since I’ve told my parents and the conversation hasn’t been brought up again. I guess they’ve assumed I’ve just let him go.
I’ve given them the time and space to let the bombshell sort of marinate but their reasonings for disagreeing is because he’s of a different caste. They’ve not even given the chance to get to know him or even speak to him.
It’s also long distance for us since I’m living in England and he’s in Pakistan.
    Any tips would be appreciated!

      Salaam,
I dont know cast system works for some muslims too, that is absolutely haram, tell your parents that Allah swt. made us all equal no matter what ethnicity, we are all human. Make them watch lectures of this, Mufti Menk has a lot of lecture on marriage, they are great, MashaAllah, in one of them he brings up the example of Musa( as.) the way he got married and the way his father in law though he was right for his duaghter, judged by his actions & character ,not his status,
      family , wealth, etc.
I hope the best for you , May Allah bless you with the best marriage.

@ shamila Islam definitely bring this issue up to your parents when the moment is right maybe dessert and tea time in the evening or Saturday or Sunday morning breakfast or brunch and tell them how you really feel about this fellow and that you are not really over him and feel that the three of you made a mistake even if it was good intentions with your best interests @ heart do not make the same mistake that I made when I was 22 I was also in a similar situation I was really very into this very sweet nice young man named Jeff there were some issues but only minor which I felt could've been worked out but because they were afraid that I wasn't gonna have a great marriage and that my dreams would be crushed so with a heavy heart I had to tell him that we couldn't keep going on and I was heartbroken just like him but I then slowly started to move on I dated so many different men who unfortunately either weren't compatible with me or they were such marriage commitment phobes or just too into marriage would ask for my hand (I kid you not) on the 2 or 3 date and it caught up with me several decades later and the damn really burst forth I had a lot of pent up anger sadness and heartache I tried privately contacting him via Facebook message I think he's either married or if he's not maybe he don't feel that he can trust me because I never heard back from him I know that my Mr right is out there somewhere hopefully when I go back to school in the spring I will maybe hopefully find him (yes people can find love @ 42) I am 41 going on 42 October 16 is my birthday shamila sweetheart please sit down with your parents and nicely put your foot down with them believe me you don't want to end up being my age still searching for your Mr right it was also long distance too with me and Jeff I am in Brooklyn NY he is or was in Detroit Michigan wow there's definitely a distance between you and this fellow but looking back @ all this I wish someone would've given me advice tell your parents that yes there is the long distance issue but if two people love each other they can and will make it work and we've come a long way with all this social media take the opportunity to do all this strike while the iron is hot do not wait several decades to wake up and have guilt and regrets I had to once again slowly move along away from this fellow once again a number of years ago I do think of him every now and then but all we were just two ships passing by this doesn't have to be like that for you so please dear cousin sister do everything you can and need to do to win this guy back if things go well with your parents (I really do hope so) then you need to contact the fellow (do that asap too) va phone email fb private message or even facetime when nobody is around and discuss with him how you really feel about him apologize and ask him to give you another chance tell him that you made a mistake let's work it out the long distance shouldn't matter what matters is if you two can make the relationship work tell him you don't want to lose him again good luck with everything may g-d give you the strength and guidance peace

Tzivia Margolis thank you for sharing your story and advice! Me and the guy are still in contact, we talk everyday! We’re just waiting for my parents to get used to the idea of the fact their daughter has found someone and wants to settle. We both understand it’s a universal feeling every parent goes through in terms of acceptance of the fact their child is growing and will eventually start a life of their own. I’m just a little gutted my parents aren’t even giving him the chance to even speak to him. We both still have hope!

Shamila hun that is so great to hear anytime my pleasure again I do hope and pray that your parents do come around tell them that they are not losing you they will gaining a son in law and with in good time g-d willing grandchildren status quo should not matter @ all it's very similar in Judaism too how religious and even class status plays a huge role @ to what kingu11 said wealth status and titles shouldn't matter what matters is that the person treats you right and will love you forever shamila dear cousin sister I'm rooting and praying for you good luck with everything may g-d help you on this journey peace

I am Somali and my husband is white British. I think we have many difference mainly in personality. However as I am born in Britian we share similar likes of foods and I am very well versed in his culture. He likes my culture alot and really respects me mashAllah. We are very different in characteristics. I am talkative and loud and hes quiet. Other than that we are all humans. He gets along with my mother too even though theres a slight language barrier as english is not my mother first language. I think ethnicity doesnt really matter as long as your muslim and you are happy together that all that matters.

@@ZeinahNurThree of your vlogs in and the tediousness of your life set in. You said you are introvert, do not have too many friends, married at 17, do not work, no much life experience outside of this marriage. I think you just wear a mask to portray a semblance of life, beyond your family. Once the kids grow up and once he gets bored, what then? The mask will slip!! I am a psychologist and seen too many clients with your life story, same story different faces. You put your information out there, people will comment and many will recognise the the emptiness behind your eyes. Just commenting on what I see from experience, enjoy the veil whilst it fits.
