Totally agree. I struggle with the overly manicured landscaping. This home is not in harmony with its surroundings. The design seems forced (dropping windows in the stairways to make you fell one with the vegetation that has been so manicured it feels like a Lego model. You could drop this housing in a thousand other places and it would/would not fit just as well.
Excellent design upgrade suggestions. I'd make the roof a dark "foliage" green to pull it back into the mountain (see 1:26 & 5:27), which might give the house a shade tree feeling while flattening the house to accentuate the primary design feature - that horizontally flowing frontal wall. The front center whitish rectangle breaks the horizontal line, maybe too much, and could match the new roof color, although a well placed break may have been the architectural intent. Is there too much mono-beige inside and out? Could those many columns be a slightly different color tone? What's the night lighting like? Could the upper and lower roofs be different shades? Skylights on the back roofs? Nothing wrong with the kitchen's warm reddish cabinet color, just do the same on the black granite wall, but keep the black countertop. Not sure of the front glass fence - does it require constant cleaning? The side entrance at 1:39 is perfect; it alludes to a Grecian mountaintop temple as does the house itself with it's central triangle and columns.
I live in New Zealand, and have visited Queensland many times. The light quality is amazingly different between our two countries. If you look at the scenes taken outside looking to the distance, you can see how the foreground is clear, but it becomes more hazy as you focus further away. I don't know if it is particles, heat-haze, or both. By comparison, in New Zealand there is often a crystal clarity that makes you think you can reach out and touch the mountains. Both have a good feeling to them.
It'd be cool if you could live there with the whole family. And I mean grandparents, parents, siblings, kids. Otherwise it's way too remote and huge. But I would get it in a heartbeat if offered, free.
Nice concepts and execution, individually, but there’s too much going on as a whole. Scattered themes throughout the house but not interesting enough of a curation to be called eclectic. I’m lead to believe the owners simply “bought the entire store.” There’s no cohesive flow that shows restraint or balance.
Yeah more proof money can't buy taste. The kitchen is great but the rest of the house looks so mismatched and full of unnecessary decoration. Very cluttered and chaotic. I'd expect more from designers tbh. Not to mention the soulless "garden".
Beautiful location and design! But why so much mowed monoculture grass and straight monoculture bushes? It’s tacky, boring and bad for the local flora and fauna. Would love to see a more natural outside, either by leaving the outside as untouched as possible, or by creating a garden with different local flowers and bushes.

Man it's so good to be rich
I guess, like many other rich people, you got there by dedication and hard work?

money buys happiness and belongings lol
🤮
Come on in. The champagne and caviar are waiting mate.😂
The beauty is just unreal. You captured the divine on this one.
Fantastic home from an architecture point. Shame that the interior is so cluttered with the owners stuff, make a big home feel cramped and small.
This feels so off brand for The Local Project. Apart from the wispy background music.

That field was spectacular! Love that breathtaking view of the home. Thank you Local Project

Lovely house, beautiful surroundings and great team! This almost looks like it could be in California wine country.

Дом конечно шикарный и несмотря на то что большой очень уютный❤❤❤

Wow❤
Great setting, somewhat underwhelming design
Nice
What a wonderfull house. A more modern interior would look better.
She said it felt spiritual. Yeah, holy sh!+ ! The home and grounds are exquisitely picture perfect 💚
Dios mio,projeto,grandioso, espetáculo, ho,dios mio¿"
This is basically New Zealand , only not just the coast but the entire country looks like this and more.
Is there a color filter on this video or is this just how Queensland looks?

Should paint the whole house pink

They have to live somewhere!

Idyllic.
Soooooo Bouji
shouldn't you be afraid in the nighttime on such secluded locations? I could argue you can film a cool horror movie on this property.
I would say get some help and try to grow up emotionally
Hollywood.... Totally wrong for the landscape ....Local Project ?!?!

It's their home, not a curated art gallery or shop.

The wall art is well chosen; individually unique while fitting the room space.
