What a superb piece of architecture. Great use of materials and the open spaces and glazing really connect it to the outdoors. The extensive planting really grounds the building too.
I in the US. It’s gray, old, dark, crummy winter. I love watching ideas from New Zealand now, where it’s warm, sunny, and green Summer. Beautiful house- love the landscaping, materials, light.
What a stunning expression of architecture. As a former student who left architecture in my 4th year to pursue Tech I regret that decision fully when seeing work of this caliber. Outstanding sir. Bravo.
Absolutely exquisite architecture. Just the right blend of detail and spareness. The lines are modern and unpretentious softened by warm materials inside and out. A total dream dwelling.
I love the textures against the landscape. The architecture is in harmony with the landscape as the plants do a wonderful job of rounding and softening the hard edges. This is so beautiful.
I love this! it's not too big, not too small. It frames views and invites nature in just about as perfect as I can imagine it. I like the natural wood finishes and the black fireplace and art work. Its natural materials without any pretenses but the house has a sense of style. I wish they would highlight that kitchen a bit.... It looks like its cleverly hiding the fridge and appliances somewhere but not sure where.
I love these indoor/outdoor homes. But I have a serious practical question which is never discussed in the videos. In general, how do the people who own and/or live in houses like this prevent flies mosquitos bugs insects birds vermin creepy crawlies wild animals etc from entering? And indeed when they do eventually close up the house at night for example, how do they get rid of them (in an environmentally friendly manner or not) if they did enter?
You don't prevent bugs to fly in. You'll just have to live with them. If the brief is to design a house free from bugs, then that would be another story.
To be honest I can’t imagine them leaving the house open for extended periods of time. Probably just for a few hours while entertaining and the wow factor. It would be just as inconvenient as we imagine- flies, mosquitoes, bugs, etc. not to mention dust.
It’s the Coromandel peninsula in New Zealand so there aren’t any threatening creatures to worry about. Just the odd benign mosquito at times. They don’t have dengue fever or Ross river fever there. The spiders are harmless and probably wouldn’t want to enter the house anymore than anywhere else.
Great channel, great house. PLEASE drop back the music volume so the dialogue is clear. Many of your videos suffer from this problem. Music is fine, in the background. Dial it down please.
This entire video compromises purely of the living room! I swear, in the 6 minutes and 20 seconds, you get a glimps of a bedroom for less than 5 seconds! No bathroom footage, fuck all else! Do a proper bloody tour man!
This is lovely, and unpretentious. The landscaping (hard and soft) is particularly successful. Lucky children to grow up in such beautiful surrounds.
yes, imagine you're growing up as a girl in such house, you will have standards so hight for your future man's house

What a wonderful way to "Bond" a family!
A delightful home to grow up in.
What an incredibly beautiful setting!!! Tasteful, natural, simple, light and very calming!! 👍👏🏽
These are nice beauty shots of the main room and exterior but I wish we could see PLANS and SECTIONS to really understand how this house works..
One of the best videos by O&Co Houses on this channel. Beautiful.
Gorgeous architecture -- function, aesthetic, and ambiance. It feels warm, inviting, modern, and timeless.
❤

Tremendous house. And digging the sandals he has on. What are they?? Only thing I could possibly afford in this video.
Love this oversized sauna
garden.... ........amazing
The new best house. I would move in. 😂
Are there no insects in New Zealand? these indoor/outdoor open concept ideas look awesome, but I just imagine mosquitoes everywhere inside.
Such a simple, clear, elegant house. Would've loved to have seen the space(s) the owners created for running the two businesses.
Beautiful, but I can’t help thinking about bugs coming through all those openings

Great view ugly home, nice music
This house is on AirBNB
These built in ads are ruining your videos wtf.
The ads are what fund these high quality videos. Do you think these videos are free to produce?
You guys everything for free and when it's free you cry about some ads that help fund what you're seeing for free 😂
Nothing in life is free, hope that helps 🎉
So you're gonna fund the next video then ? If not, then stfu.
Your TH-cam Free is ruining the video.
❤👍👌👏🙌🔯

Why is every "ARCHITECT' home virtually identical ?
the devil is in the details
Because they like simplicity and focus
Homogenous thinking...which could indicate a larger problem of lack of innovation in architecture design in general
Because every architect knows what works in the long run

Less cursing, but totally agree haha
Lose the built-in adds! Horrible! Why pay for youtube so you don't see the ads when you're just going to add the in the video.
Big open spaces, wood framed in raw metals, and ridiculously expensive windows and glass walls. Same old/same old.
Watches this on mute...
Every video has the same word salad
There is only one thing worse than AD in the video, and that is a robotic woman's voice advertising a magazine.
Wait until those kids are teenagers and need friends.
They don't live on an island on their own.🤦🏼♀
