    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Alex,
      Dermatitis is tricky. Stay with a light gel/milk or balm cleanser. You don't want to suffocate the skin with something too thick and creamy but you need gentle and simple with very little fragrance that has 0% foam. Look at Jordan Samuel
      Skin cleansers also.

    You have mentioned that oil based cleanser tend to burn a skin a little. So my question is about double cleansing at night:isn’t it first cleanser should be more emollient (such as balm or oil based) that needs to be removed with warm wet cloth and second would be another cleanser?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Kristina,
      I am not a fan of essential oils directly on the face.... thats what can burn the skin...like a chemical burn on some people. Not oil based cleansers though....that is different. Using two cleansers at night is fine, i use the same one twice....but two different ones can work also:))

    Hi Nerida, I've been struggling with acne ever since I was 12, it has gotten better as I've been on the birth control pill since I was 14 but it has in the last year been very bad. My skin is combination/oily and I will get bumps on my forehead (probably from oil) and a lot of painful pimples around my mouth/chin area and even in my hairline. What type of cleanser or other products would you recommend?

      Maritz MMS I’m an Esthetician and highly recommend using Aveda skin care products, especially if you have sensitive skin. For you I would recommend using the “Aveda cream cleanser” and follow up with the “Aveda BK exfoliant” (as your toner) it contains salicylic acid that will clarify and smooth, it’s all plant based ingredients and smells soooo amazing!!! Aveda”s skin care is all high quality ingredients and their products actually work. And Even though you are oily it’s still very important that you moisturize! Aveda’s “hydrating lotion” is lighter and perfect for oily skin types. Check them out and research them online if you want more product info. You can’t go wrong!

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Maritz,
      Few questions 1. are you an oily/sensitive skin with surface dryness (oily underneath)?
      2. do you live in a humid or dry climate? and 3. is your acne "pimples" that is painful to the touch or is it more congestion/non-painful bumps?

    • @emmadax
      @emmadax 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ALSO! (sorry to be a pain!) at home I have a mild retinol in squalene solution and a niacinamide and zinc serum, I have an oil free moisturiser. Can I use a vitamin C with hyaluronic acid to combat my scars and pigmentation or will that be too hydrating for the deeper layers of my skin and worsen the blackheads and whiteheads?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      After cleansing 2x PM I would recommend a serum and a treatment moisturizer. Depending on how congested and what their skin condition is would depend on what i would recommend. I like the Q flavonoid and maybe a aha cream or mild retinol for the PM generally:))

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That could be good if you can tolerate vitamin C ok. Some people cannot use vitamin C, it depends on the brands and your personal skin. Niacinamides is another ingredient some people have to be careful of. Its doesn't work for some but is amazing for others. Hyaluronic acid is great though...healing and hydrating:))

      In face mapping around the mouth is our female organs, another words, depending on what the pimples look like, painful or not, that is your sensitive area in your body say if you get stressed. First, tell me if the pimples are painful? and are they pustules? or, is it congestion bumps with no pustule head?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare

      Sounds like an irritation .... maybe a little dermatitis. You may need to get a prescription hydro-cortisone to use for a few days. Often the over the counter ones don't work great, so check in with your derm and get a prescription to have on hand :))
