I heard adventurers are for spiecal enemies. The magic torch counters ghosts. And the Silver Blade kills Werewolves. 16:18 There is this secret technique called "reading the tooltip you are diplaying right now, by hovering there." It told you exactly what you needed to do.
the resources at the top confusingly also count "in-use" or "reserved" resources. So the fact you have 15 axes could mean that you have 15 woodcutters. When you hovered over it, it told you how many are "available" as well, and that's what you actually need to look at.
Axes are in the guild house. It can store up to 16. If you want to use them for anything else you either need to produce more or deactivate the guild house. The carriers will grab them there once deactivated
There’s two completely separate franchises called settlers, both coincidentally German and kinda of the same age 😂 One is the board game and the other is a video game series that’s similar to anno, from the same studio and the spiritual predecessor for this game But I agree with you: most of catan is always great
Food is mainly a resource needed for mines and explorers, and not your normal population due to how pops work. Your pops in houses need X amount of food to grow - you can check this in the individual houses, but a lack of food doesn't mean that they die so you'll never lose population from a lack of food. A lack of food, however, does mean that your some of buildings that need food as an input, will stop working.
22:15 Why do you not use a stronghold as help against the thieves? Or make some smaller towers and let the soldier "patrol" your place? In old settler game all military personnel can see thieves but of course do you send your soldiers to a direct point they can not attack the thieves. Why not let be some soldiers at the tower? 😊
Its made mistakes like that before. Including sometimes inventing a game that doesn't exist. I follow some people who do content for a game called From The Depths, and one of the features of the game aside from being a vehicle builder with a high difficulty curve and having the somewhat cool ability to play a semi-RTS campaign using vehicles you make, is the ability to have tournament style matches between vehicles. Which are very easy to share, and thus there have been a lot of vehicle design tournaments where people would submit battleships, aircraft, or whatever the theme of the tournament was to a youtuber running it (while you can control a vehicle manually, most people use the variety of AI options to automate it, so having them fight each other is very possible and the AI settings you use can be as important as how well you design the hull or weapons and such in these tournaments). In fact, the reason there is even a mode for having tournament fights is basically because people had been already doing them by just using the vehicle designer (which lets you spawn in vehicles freely on any side of any of the factions, or as a player owned vessel). Short of it was: since one such youtuber kept labeling tournament matches "Tank Tussle" due to running a tank tournament, there was a time where youtube thought a game called Tank Tussle existed for several months.
Including that they need to replace the current villagers, who are clearly British from how much they love queuing, with non-British villagers who nonetheless still at least like tea.
@@mysterylink5105 There are jokes that British people like queuing, at least according to some British comedians. And the people in this game path as if they are idealized cars on single lane streets, often effectively queuing up in lines that aren't even for their thing.
If the game is akin to The Settlers - then you won't need food for everyone. Only miners and some industrial jobs would need them (everyone else is considered to have a small garden or gather their food on the way. Also, nobody should really die from not having food, they just stop working until they get fed again. But as said - that's how The Settlers handled it back in the day, may have changed.
There's definitely a need for some improvements before this becomes viable to buy, at least for me. One-to-one combat?? Seriously, who's idea was that?!
Nice game but what's a pity that do you played so fast the most time. Why do you not make tree cutter if you arrived the woods? It is good to build a store place at this and that place, same saw mill and some more place for builders. The extra wood maker camp left from ship was a good idea. The mining production chain was good. One tipp from someone how played computer games since 40 years - if I not known what this or that building is for use - I build it exactly one times at a place far away from my borders. So a treasure or store place only inside my place how is my own - of course around with a stronghold and veteran soldiers - so can't it chrashed from bandits or thieves can't steal something. After longer time play every player "found" a problem - and mostly it is a shortage of something what you now needed to build something. Same with products how you "now" not needed - produce it in peace times where no enemy kill a worker from your stuff. At me was it mostly the man with the axe - and so I can't kill the trees how are in way or the weapon smith - the last one how I need to make more swords ... At one settlers mission I run out of stones to build more towers for my soldiers - it was the last one before I won the mission end point - I use most of my stones as weapon to kill my enemies without loosing my soldiers. 😭🤦♂️ Stupid right?

IMO, rangers are the best military to get rid of bandits. They are cheap, and don't die easily

The name makes me think there needs to be a map that is literally the Settlers of Catan island.

0:29 Thats it. The windmill! Remember last episode when the workers ceased? I saw a dude stuck behind it there due to impassable red outline terrain.

youtube is marking this series as Surviving Mars for some reason

Definitely see a lot to improve in this game

This game so far is fantastic. Hope you play it for a while
@7:00 Pravus being curious about magic torches... Wonder why
Keep up the great content!
I look forward to seeing more of this
Time to clense the island. BEGAN THE PURGE!
Praise Pravus.
That 1 on 1 combat needs to be fixed
I believe this is a design choice since all of the older settler games also fought like this.

Hehe attacking 1 by 1. That's how the original game worked. And they even stod in line back then, waiting for their turn to attack

If I remember correctly, this is an exact copy of Settlers II mechanics.
@@XnavirX Never played Settles, so sorry if I don't see the similarities
In Settlers 1 and 2 the soldiers would always go one on one for the control of towers and forts.
You've not played settlers 2 have you.
So good
18:00 HES BRITISH!

I saw episode 2 posted and I stopped working just to watch it!
Would you consider this similar to settlers style gameplay? It looks awesome, I miss pc gaming.
this game has some serious QOL issues that need to be fixed
Pravus should play more democracy 4. i would love to see a hardest difficulty america run. day 332
