      I've lived in Seattle my whole life (45 years). THE BUILDING THAT LAYNE LIVED IN WAS TORN DOWN 10 or 15 years ago. It was made of concrete and it was an ugly tan color. It was rounded molded concrete and it looked very 1980s. This steel building is a new construction. This building is not the building where Layne lived, but it is built on the same property.

    Layne bought his condo for 262000$ in April 1997, six months after Demri's passing. Layne was proud of his condo. It wasn't only "dark and sad". If I had money, I would buy it immediately. It's a very beautiful and secure place and Layne's soul will live there forever ❤

      I never knew this. Is there any photos of the original building. Because if these videos keep showing the newer building, then it's a waste of time and false information. Like this video, he's pointing to areas so basically making it up.

      Ummmmm lol. So guys for real, whose house are we looking at? 😂 I adored Layne, so naturally curious, but I agree, if this could even possibly not be his home, same land base or not, then we wasted our time and the video should be removed. This doesn’t really look super 90s to me (at the time of building), & no way would Layne be going up & down those stairs if he had random / squatters living with him. It looks like it could have been built 15 years ago. If Layne bought it in ‘97? Nah, the design, structural design, isn’t suited to that time period.

      @StratMatt777 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@6611 The realtor would most likely have no awareness of who owned the unit 22 years ago. Realtors simply sell units and houses. They aren't tour guides. They probably cannot even access records that show who lived in a place 22 years ago.
      All I know is that my roommate was a MASSIVE AIC fan and after Layne died we drove down and he found Layne's condo and pointed it out as we drove by.
      That building was a rounded concrete 1980's style building and it was located half a block north and 1 block west of this building.
      The king county tax website indicates that the building in the tour was built in 1996, but it isn't the building that my roommate understood to be Layne's.

What I found to be the most disturbing, is the old intercom that he used to keep everyone away with. If you know anything about him it's that he wouldn't let anyone in. That was haunting to see. • @JustinaMaxina

    I've always wondered what the inside of Layne's condo looked like. Thank you, Adika, for this very emotional and touching tribute tour of sorts to the late great legend.
    I remember seeing a photo floating around on the internet of Layne wearing a Metal Gear Solid t-shirt and I thought that that was so badass. It's wild to think that this is where Layne probably played Metal Gear Solid (one of my fav games for the PS1) for the first time. I'm willing to bet that I was playing the game when I was 11 years old in 1998 (the year MGS was released) around the same time that Layne was. I didn't discover Alice in Chains until I was older but it's still interesting thinking about that, Layne sitting on his couch playing MGS for the PS1. It's sad knowing what we do now about his problems with addiction and the frail condition he was in but also bittersweet in a way knowing he was a gamer like me and also suffered from depression and addiction.
    I love Layne Staley so much and the music that he created with AiC is timeless and will stick with me for the rest of my life. I was actually listening to 4/20/02 by Pearl Jam the other day and that song never fails to bring me to tears. RIP, Layne. Gone but most certainly never forgotten.

They don't speak English, and had never heard of Alice In Chains - he specifically didn't tell them about Layne until after they commented - but one called Nutshell "a man singing his own funeral song." That's a very accurate description, especially for someone who doesn't understand the words and didn't know Layne's story. I still wonder how he knew.

      I didn't want my fans to think heroin was cool. But then I've had fans come up to me and give me the thumbs up, telling me they're high. That's exactly what I didn't want to happen. [Rolling Stone - February 8, 1996] I saw all the suffering that Kurt Cobain went through. Sorry I should have said “that year in 1996, Feb 8th” …. Thanks for watching

      Actually, he was found because his accountant noticed that he hadn’t taken out his usual $500 a day from the bank, for a couple of weeks. He then notified someone that they should check on Layne-maybe his mother, I think?

    Just say NO! Was never a joke and still true to this day! They keep proving it over, and over, and over again! Yet we'll keep having people thing they're the one that is super special and it does not apply to them! Then they wake up dead?
