    Video Quality in N-Raw is always 12bit, Normal is not 10 bit. Is just less info. As per nikon documentation : High = [[FX] 8256×4644; 60p] Approx. 5780 Mbps and Normal = [[FX] 8256×4644; 60p] Approx. 3470 Mbps.

    The only difference between SDR and NLOG is the tone mapping. SDR's base and dual ISO sits at 64 and 400. With N-Log, those values are 800 and 4000. You pretty much choose the range that works best for your situation. According to Nikon, SDR produces cleaner shadows and N-Log produces superior highlight recovery.

    Mate, I’ve discovered that NLOG has two base ISOs 800 and 4000!!! Will release a video this week about it.

      in non nlog mode you can also get second base iso at 500, both in photo and video. Probably good idea to ignore 400iso when shooting photo and sdr video, since the dynamic range at 400iso is worse than 500iso.

    Coming from an A1 and mostly using H.265 Slog, it would be nice for some comparisons with N-raw/Nlog. Also, how does the Z9's H.265 4k oversampling compare to Nraw? Please and thankyou!

    Given me inspiration to do my own z9 video to compare video clip editing range and sharpness from 8bit 4k to nraw 4k of a high contrast snow environment.

    I always get anxiety when I see the sensor shield not engaged.....

    • @ahtur364
      @ahtur364 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Recently, I saw a video from a guy whose shield broke and was dancing inside of his camera, potentially touching the sensor. Therefore, I only turn it on when I'll be changing lenses often or on exteriors. Just to not overuse it

    Your color management and input LUT setup is all wrong, that's why you need to mess with Rec 2020 and n-log in the raw tab.

      I was thinking the same. Instead of setting the Lut in project setting I would just use a color transform node and work with each clip

    I NEED HELP. Whenever I upload a RAW photo from my Nikon z-30 into DaVinci, the white balance is completely broken. I cannot seem to figure this out. The white balance setting on my camera itself is in auto. The photo appears completely normal when viewed in all other applications, but for some reason when I drag and drop it into resolve, it goes blue HARDCORE. I attempt to combat this by pressing the auto white balance option on resolve but I never truly get my ACTUAL picture back. This is ruining all my pictures. It has something to do with settings in resolve but I cannot figure it out. Any suggestions?

    • @raincoastphoto
      @raincoastphoto วันที่ผ่านมา

      Its the colour space of your raw file, try changing it to sRBG instead of Adobe, in Photoshop and save as a tiff or jpg before dragging into resolve

    I have a problem. I shoot video with 25/50/100 frames.
    Enter Leonardo da Vinci and create a timeline with a frame rate of 25. Why does the physics in my screen have a very severe sense of cutting when moving? Even if it is recorded at 24 frames, the video material created with a timeline of 24 frames still has a strong sense of cutting?
    Is it because the frame rate of the recording is too low and I move too fast when shooting?
    PS: I shoot according to the shutter angle of 180 degrees. The problem of parameter setting can be ruled out.

    Do you "need" to do the speed changes in Davinci? Can you just do that when you get into Premier or other?

  • @ULTRA7862
    @ULTRA7862 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You didn't descuss that system effects of NR. What is killing me with my RAW workflow is the need to ALWAYS use noise reduction to even make the most basic footage half useable. This destroys my render times and makes it so unpleasant as to not make me want to use it anymore.

    Please explain how the z6ii or z7ii can shoot N-Raw? I know we can get Pro Res Raw with an Atomos Ninja but Pro Res Raw would have to get converted as it won't open in Davinci. But N-Raw?

    4k120p has 2.3 crop ???

    • @danh2716
      @danh2716 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No. In N-raw the camera has multiple 120fps shooting options.
      You can do 4.1K 120fps utilizing the full width of the sensor (full FX coverage.) But you can also choose to output 3.8K at 120 fps utilizing a 2.3x crop if you want to get a little digital zoom.
