I remember looking at Apex config and thinking it had something to do with counter strafing. Glad I found the answer finaly, 2 years later ..

in fact his config to move is zqsd (front, left, right, back) and it is the case of almost all french players due to the french keyboard layout (azerty instead of qwerty) so it is a way more efficient with a french layout

For the french keyboard being so different even with the same alphabet, it is because since the keyboard has been created with a specific logic (which is to put usefulls keys not close to each other, like : "a" is very used in French but "Z" is not very useful, and "e" is very usefull so we decided to "a" , then "z" and then "e") and since English and French don't have the same usage of the alphabet obviously the keys are not at the same place.

Hi neok, the config would have worked if you had kept the "videodefaults" file in the folder. If this file is missing, csgo thinks you are running the game for the first time and gives you a default config.
Why use a Config? Is it the exact same thing as an autoexec?

Honestly my config fucking weird too, right click is crouch among other things XD
moving forfard and back with z ans x and left and right a and s or a and d is actyally really smart. then when you move straight and left at same time you need to counter strafe back and right. that way you can j just press s an x or d and x same time with 1 finger. try it out and make your counter strafes more advanced.
to install a cfg you need to put it in cfg folder in csgo files.

yeah it's the type of keyboard you are using it is supposed to be AZERTY layout
just place it in general csgo config folder (\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg) and type exec config in console lol
