You should make a website with all these tablets and comparison tables. What color eink tablet has the fastest refresh rate from the ones that you tested? Also you should do a review for the daylight computer. They just opened the doors to a new industry.

I'm impressed by how different the two Kaleido 3 eReaders are without backlight. Did you also happen to receive the new BOOX Go Color 7? Would love to see a review from you :)

For somebody who wants to mainly read rss feeds, ebooks and emagazines on a color e-ink screen and take notes with a stylus that should turn to text, irrespective of size or cost which is the best choice? The new pocketbook so or the bigme with android 13 or the boox tab pro or something else entirely? I'm confused.

Thanks for the review and comparison!
I have seen several comments on amazon avout era color that its way too slow. Have you noticed this? And if yes, is it a common characteristics of only this model or of all the pocketbooks?

Compared to a B&W Kindle the PocketBook ereaders tend to be a bit slower in general. But I wouldn't say they are particularly slow. I'd say they are even a bit faster than the Kobo Libra Colour for larger PDF or CBZ/CBR files.
There are a few shots in the comparison where I navigate through a couple of items and turn PDF pages and you can also check my standalone InkPad Color 3 and Era Color reviews to get a few more impressions. Personally I think performance of recent PocketBook ereaders is totally fine, but I guess it depends where you're coming from and what you expect.
But having said that, I had a massive slow-down when I first booted the Era Color. I mentioned that in my review. Haven't had any issues with that again, but maybe that's what's happening with the people who criticized performance.

@@ChalidRaqami thanks a lot for such a comprehensive answer! I am coming from pocketbook too, a very old model Ultra, which is something like 13 y.o. now. Long time not supported, but still works! I am considering getting a new one, but this time with color. The thing is Cobo Libra is slightly cheaper, and the Amazon reviews are way better, that surprises me

@@ChalidRaqami A short update: I ended up buying Era Color. I really like color element: I read many texts in foreign languages, so color-marking for the words I have looked up the translation looks really nice in text. The device is quite slow, but I can tolerate it. What I could not tolerate is the display. For me it does not simply look dark, it looks extremely grainy: it's like I see a lot of tiny black dots on the screen and this is extremely unpleasant for my eyes. Sadly, I am sending it back and will go with BW Era instead.

@anshevel thank you for your comment/review. Question: did it still look grainy even if you turned the device's frontlight all the way up?
Thanks again. You saved me from buying the era color.

@@alisharo58 unfortunately yes, that looked even worse with the light on, because I could see those tiny dots even clearer. Actually I've never come across complaints that say the screen is grainy. It might be the defect of a certain item or even my own personal eyes defect 🤷🏼‍♀️ I need to try other colored ebooks, but of course not ordering them every time. Maybe I'll find some in the store

      Nope. Headquarter is Lugano, Switzerland.

Originally yes, but they moved its headquarters to Switzerland many years ago (2012 I think) and are now operating from there.
