    THIS MIGHT BE THE GREATEST SONG IVE EVER HEARD

      George wrote this at 17 yr old on a bus. It took 12 sax players to get the sound he wanted. Watch his concert for Princess Diana. He does “One More Try” in gospel version. His band n back up singers were tremendous. They stayed with him for years. I love your reaction young man. You know your music. I’m 72, my son introduced me to Marley n Tupac. Loved them. My daughter introduced me to George Michael n his group Wham. She drove me nuts, Wham 24/7. I started to listen to George’s voice n really liked it. I really got hooked when he went solo. “Kissin a Fool” from his Faith album really did me in. Check him out. You won’t be disappointed

      George did infact wrote this song when he was 17 and composed the saxophone opening.
      I heard that he wrote it from personal experience because he cheated on his girlfriend and lost her.
      Yiu will find that alot of iconic music from my Era is often covered again buy younger artists. And sometimes the younger generation have not one single clue that they are NOT listening to the original.
      And 80s and 90s produced some of the best music before it changed to what it is today.
      Country music in the 80s and 90s was my favorite.
      And since Im a southern Belle from Alabama and grew up on country, I don't really care for new country because it doulesnt even sound like good old country. It doesn't touch me as deeply as older country. So many of us still love those country legends from the 90s.

      This is my favorite song of all time and I’ve never until the past week started watching other people’s reactions to it and I LOVE yours! I’ve played this song thousands of times and my girls don’t appreciate it for the masterpiece that it is and it’s such a joy to see younger people experience it and get their breath taken away by it. I will never ever get tired of hearing it.

    George wrote this song when he was 17 yrs. old when he wrote this song. Just wait till you go on this journey with George Michael! I'm presuming you will continue If, in fact, you do. You only have 30+ yrs. to go! George is MAGIC! His music is so relatable, in fact, this is just one way this man is so Beautiful inside & out! The first time I saw him on MTV I actually thought he was too Georgious, He must be an A**H***. BOY, WAS I WRONG! George wrote, sang, arranged, created, directed, & produced all of his own music! His catalog was R&B, POP, SOUL, JAZZ, & EVEN A LITTLE SWING! George performed in 68 countries, after just 25 Yrs, and won many, many awards. He also covered many Stevie Wonder songs. Stevie loved George in fact when asked after George's passing at the age of 53, Stevie said George Was a Gift from God To The World! Never any truer words to be said! I hope you go on to learn just what an amazing Human Being he was! George was a real man in every sense of the word! He gave us his pure heart in every word he ever spoke! I also hope that he does the same for you, like many of us, he has helped us to learn about ourselves. Helped us through the bad times The Good Times & the Happiest Times of our Lives. LOL, My Friend, hope to see you again. BK 😊 💖🎤😎🎶💖 REMEMBER GEORGE & KEEP THE MUSIC PLAYING! 💖🎶🎶🎶

    GREAT REACTION! 👍 👏George Michael DID actually write this song and composed that iconic saxophone opening all on his own at age 16! He is a songwriting LEGEND. You should check out "ONE MORE TRY." That was another #1 hit song from him, the lyrics are incredible, and it's his best vocal performance ever. 😉

    George Michael was the only singer at Freddie Mercury's tribute concert that sang one of his songs great. No one else could do a "Freddie" song proper!!!

    • @bk4062
      @bk4062 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes, SOMEBODY TO LOVE! Little did we know just how much this song would mean in George's life. I do wish there would have been a better outcome for him, he most definitely was one who truly deserved It! Note ( did you know he was the only performer that night who practiced a whole week because he wanted to get it right because he felt he owed It to Freddy! ) This was George, he did everything with his heart! 💖

    • @barbaratucker6434
      @barbaratucker6434 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@bk4062 , yes I heard that Freddie's death hit him hard. He couldn't say anything to anybody about how scared he was since he was a gay man too.. To see one of his idols, a man bigger than life itself, become deathly ill and dying of this dreaded disease was very personal to him. If George had lived, he would have been my choice to sing Freddie's songs with Queen. What a wonderful voice he had. may he RIP. I miss them both.

    Not only did George Michael write this song when he wad 16/17 years old, he produced, arranged and composed this song! He created that saxophone riff ! That is HIS creation! That is why this song and he is such a big deal. lol After this era - he released his MULTI-PLATINUM album FAITH in which he wrote, produced, arranged, composed and played about 85% of all the instruments. FAITH won the Grammy award for Album if the Year in 1989. George Michael was the first "white" artist to ever win Favorite Soul/R&B Male AND Favorite Soul/R&B album during 1989 American Music Awards! His vocal range is incredible and he is one of the very few singers who sound like a studio recording when he sings live. Although he can pretty much sing any genre flawlessly, he was an incredible soul singer with such control of his voice. I'll make a few suggestions I think you will love. 1) Stevie Wonder's song he covered "They Won't Go When I Go" (audio only) - just one piano, a couple of back up singers (most of the ladies/gentlemen were with him for over 20 years) and his incredible voice. th-cam.com/video/oata-ksmxjg/w-d-xo.html 2) His own song "One More Try" but live and he arranged and sang it in a more gospel version. th-cam.com/video/1bPxYmsv-Mc/w-d-xo.html 3) Country singer Bonnie Rait's cover of "I Can't Make You Love Me" where he put a soulful spin on the song. th-cam.com/video/QbWJO8RMg1A/w-d-xo.html 4) AND my FAVORITE George Michael song: "Kissing a Fool" - his jazzy, soulful creation. th-cam.com/video/hhmj6Gm-6Do/w-d-xo.html Enjoy his genius! :)
