I went to his concert in 1988. It was the best concert I ever went to.
I don't think there's a day that goes by when I don't listen to this man's music. One of a kind, one of the best vocalists, musicians, lyricists and producers of our time. Praying for Time, One More Try, Different Corner, You Have Been Loved, and any of his live performances, MTV unplugged, live at the BBC or Symphonica.
George has those good Greek features from his Greek dad English mother. Good combination 🕊️💕

Hahaha!! Your reaction when George started singing was priceless!! The man had such a freaking amazing, beautiful and even haunting voice at times (and he was pretty easy on the eyes! lol!!).... "Guilty feet have got no rhythm" is one of the best lines I've ever heard in a song and SO TRUE!! George was a gorgeous human all the way around!!! I met him once in 93 at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood. This was after he got busted in a bathroom in Beverly Hills. We were walking by and a photographer was taking photos. No one was approaching him. I quipped that it sucks that no one wants a photo with him a little too loud. He called me out. I was embarrassed. He walked over to me and laughed, gave me a hug and gave me credit. We talked with for about a half hour after. He was one of the nicest celebrities I've met. Also had an interesting run in with the King of Pop. But that another story. Love you reactions boss.

My favorite artist ever. You were impressed by his voice? And this was when he was still an imature artist. Everything that came after as he became more mature is pure gold. Unfortunately he left us very young (only 52) but yeat, more than 30 years ofcareer and his legacy will remain for generations. I’m happy you discovered this pearl. Woderful vocals increadible song writter, producer. Many of his covers were best than the originals ( he recorded an entire album with covers called “songs from the last century”, some of fantastic covers: miss sarayevo, roxanne, among others)

Composition and writing
In 1981, Michael was working as a DJ in the Bel Air restaurant near Bushey, Hertfordshire. Michael explained in his autobiography, Bare, that he conceptualized "Careless Whisper" based on events from his childhood. Michael wrote, "I was on my way to DJ at the Bel Air when I wrote "Careless Whisper". I have always written on buses, trains and in cars. It always happens on journeys...With "Careless Whisper" I remember exactly where it first came to me, where I came up with the sax line... I remember I was handing the money over to the guy on the bus and I got this line, the sax line... I wrote it totally in my head. I worked on it for about three months in my head."
"When I was twelve, thirteen, I used to have to chaperone my sister, who was two years older, to an ice rink at Queensway in London," he explained. "There was a girl there with long blond hair whose name was Jane. I was a fat boy in glasses and I had a big crush on her - though I didn't stand a chance. My sister used to go and do what she wanted when we got to the skating rink and I would spend the afternoon swooning over this girl Jane."
"A few years later, when I was sixteen, I had my first relationship with a girl called Helen", Michael continued.
It had just started to cool off a bit when I discovered that the blonde girl from Queensway had moved in just around the corner from my school. She had moved in right next to where I used to stand and wait for my next-door neighbour, who used to give me a lift home from school. And one day I saw her walk down the path next to me and I thought - now where did SHE come from? She didn't know it was me. It was a few years later and I looked a lot different. Then we played a school disco with The Executive and she saw me singing and decided she fancied me. By this time she was that much older and a big buxom thing - and eventually I started seeing her. She invited me in one day when I was waiting for my lift and I was ... in heaven.[8]
Michael observed that after he stopped wearing glasses, he began getting invited to parties. "And the girl who didn't even see me when I was twelve invited me in", he noted.
So I went out with her for a couple of months but I didn't stop seeing Helen. I thought I was being smart - I had gone from being a total loser to being a two-timer. And I remember my sisters used to give me a hard time because they found out and they really liked the first girl. The whole idea of "Careless Whisper" was the first girl finding out about the second - which she never did. But I started another relationship with a girl called Alexis without finishing the one with Jane. It all got a bit complicated. Jane found out about her and got rid of me ... The whole time I thought I was being cool, being this two-timer, but there really wasn't that much emotion involved. I did feel guilty about the first girl - and I have seen her since - and the idea of the song was about her. "Careless Whisper" was us dancing, because we danced a lot, and the idea was - we are dancing ... but she knows ... and it's finished".

Please react to his live performance of Somebody To Love at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. A performance you won’t forget. George was an unbelievable talent. He wrote Careless Whisper when he was 16-17 years old. He wrote his first solo album Faith when he was only 23. He not only wrote and sang but he also arranged, produced and played almost all the instruments on his songs. He was a perfectionist and his live performance were flawless. So many great songs!

Check out George's live version of "one more try" from the concert of hope in London 1993 or his "jesus to a child" live from the MTW-Award 1994 in Berlin. And of course, his whole performance from his MTW Unplugged concert from 1996 is adorable. And so his performance at "Pavarotti and friends" in 2000 with his version of "brother can you spare a dime".
@@michaelageorge7517 Hi Michaela, I know It's sometimes the same songs that are being requested, & there all great. However, we don't him to miss George's journey through all of George's career, do we? I for one have to control myself once & a while,( It's damn hard) not wanting to go through song after song in each sitting. Dear Michaela, we know how magical George is, Maybe he will do 2 or3 songs in one setting that may make It easier for us! I have t keep reminding myself to be patient! For me again, It's damn hard, yah! LOL always! We super fans need to stick together!

Another fantastic pull Dub Man!!!!!!
