  • This video was done on a 2017 Skidoo renegade 900 ace NA but this video will serve all sleds that utilize the 900 ace engines as the oil filter and oil drain plugs are in the same positions. This video will be able to serve turbo sleds as the position of the motor is the same as the naturally aspirated.

    Great video. This is 10000 times easier than changing the oil filter on my 4 stroke Yamaha. Going to spring check a new Ski-doo just because of you.

    Makes me wonder if the oil filter clicks into the cap on all BRPs... I need to remember this the next time I service my Outlander (oops, if so). Helpful video all around.

    Really enjoyed your coaching. I think the springs back on very difficult …if you drop the spring it falls behind …in which you have to take the exhaust back off. The spring format is a horrible design in my opinion. Great job on instruction!

    Thanks for the help, I have a 2021 900 ace, only difference is the exhaust isn’t held down by 4 springs like yours, they’re bolted down in a few spots, but thanks still

    Nicely done. It's an oil change not a work of art. Backrubs and foreplay not required to explain garage jobs...

    11:05 The 900 ACE actually takes 3.25 to 3.5 quarts, not 2.5 quarts. The kit comes with 3 1/2 quart jugs.

      I think he meant just snug it down with the small ratcheting wrench. Torque values would be a good addition.

    what does cc mean on my snowmobile?

    • @SimicBros
      @SimicBros  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      CC typically refers to the displacement of the engine. It is a smaller measurement used on these types of recreational vehicles because of their small engine displacement. This is an example in simple terms. Litres or “L” is used as a measurement for car engines because of their tendency to have larger engines. This Litre “L” is the sum of all the air that can fit into each cylinder. Snowmobiles on the other hand have smaller engine sizes and because of that uses a smaller measurement unit called CC. CC’s deliver the same information on the engine size but in a different and smaller measurement.
