Take my word for it, the Zenitsu/Inosuke interactions are peak comedy. They take the anime to levels of funny that shouldn't even be possible for a show about demons.
To be honest I found comedy of Demon Slayer to be the weakest part of the show as it's super juvenile and basically just chaos and screaming... but I guess I'm just not the target audience...
@@kubka4 Well u cant compare a battle shounen with dark lores to have the same level of comedy of a show which focuses mostly on comedy (Kaguya sama). And both Fullmetal and Ds has the same level of comedy tbh. Im praising Ds more bc when its time for humor it has one of the funniest drawn faces I have seen in anime.

And Full Metal Panic (not Fullmetal Alchemist btw) has different style of comedy than DS. To me both DS side characters are just annoying and loud, not funny...
You were partially right about Ino's crow. It's still around but it flies far away from him because he's always trying to eat him. So he gives messages and flies out of sight of him.
The "Academy" trope is prevalent throughout anime. There are tons of different titles that have touched on it, and some even have full chapters or even shows of their characters in an alternate reality where they have similar attitudes/convictions but are now in a school setting. Idk where it started but it's one of my favorite things in anime, even though I don't watch/read them. The idea is just really unique.
Great reaction to this episode! 💜💜 Love the dynamics of this trio, they are so different but what I like about these characters is they all grow a lot. Tanjiro figured out pretty quick how to handle Inosuke, it's pretty hilarious that Inosuke tries to push his buttons to provoke a fight but Tanjiro flips it around on him killing him with kindness but also suggesting he is somehow weaker or tired with a little reverse psychology which pisses him off lol. It's hard for me to pick a favorite cuz they all grew on me a lot especially Zenitsu cuz I couldn't stand him at first lol but then I got to understand him a lot better later.
I always like to imagine this scenario happening in Demon Slayer Random guy: Excuse me, why do you always carry that box? What's in it? Tanjiro: My younger sister. Who also happens to be a demon. Would you like to meet her? 😄 Random guy: 👁👄👁 .........
Inosuke in a nutshell: *Feels insulted* How dare you?! We must FIGHT! *Feels complimented* You're an honorable person and warrior... We must FIGHT! *Literally does and says nothing* I won't let you ignore me! We must FIGHT!
During that "Academy" skit at the end, the part about "no blonde hair" is unfortunately accurate to the Japanese school system. I think it was originally meant to mean "no bleaching or dying your hair different colors" but maybe for the purposes of equality (or conformity) and no special treatment or exceptions for anyone, it was even applied to Japanese students who were born with naturally brown hair, forcing them to dye it black over and over again according to school rules. That received a lot of criticism, at least outside Japan but eventually from inside Japan as well, so I've heard most schools are relaxing the rule if it's a student's natural hair color. Japan has always been all about conformity, though it's finally changing a bit.
I would love to see both of you watch Chainsaw-man after this. i think you would like it, also i think there's a movie from this anime coming out soon this year so it should be trending pretty well too
