Fixing a giant railway bridge!

- About a year ago my garden railroad bridge got severely damaged during a storm when a tree fell on it. Today I got ahold of the replacement parts so I was finally able to fix it. Enjoy the video!

That had to be very devastating to see, but getting it back together is great to see😢 but now 😊
I had a really bad day as I got the call that my bridge was destroyed. But rebuilding it was fun in the end and to this day I love this bridge!

You may be able to rework the damaged span and make a shorter truss bridge from the less damaged parts. 🤔😃
I had the same idea but it was not working. I re used the nearly undamaged half of the bridge to rebuilt the big bridge as you have seen. The other half was a total loss since there was not a single straight peace left. I re used some of the materials elsewhere, the rest was scrapped...

Hi! The bridge was supplied by oHo - Modellbau (www.oho-modellbau.de). I´ve bought several bridges from him and all of them where nicely build and most importently very rigid. For example, the 4m long segment you see in the video can easily support 50kg of weight in the middle of the span which is extradodinary!
Hast du die Brücke selbst gebaut?
Nein, ich habe sie nur selbst repariert. Hersteller ist oHo Modellbau der die Brücken auf Bestellung anfertigt. Sie sind äußerst robust und wirken dennoch halbwegs filigran, für mich genau der richtige Kompromiss im Garten wo auch mal kleinere Äste ode Zapfen von oben kommen ... nur einen ganzen Baum hält sie nicht aus wie man im Video sieht.

Hi, vielen Dank für das Lob! Der Zug der am Ende des Videos über die Brücke fährt besteht aus einer Diesellok 232 in DB Cargo Lackierung und einem Bahndienst Umbauwagen der DB (blauer Wagen). Beide Modelle sind von Piko hergestellt, die Lok kann man dort noch kaufen, der Wagen wird in dieser Lackierung nicht mehr produziert. Mit etwas Glück ist er noch auf eBay zu bekommen. Ich hoffe das hilft dir weiter!

The company is called oHo-Modellbau, located in Germany. He builds all kinds of bridges, I used several of them and they are all very robust and good looking!

Hi Chris, da ich in dem Video die Brücke repariere nachdem ein Baum auf sie gefallen war ist das Wort "fixing" meines erachtens richtig gewählt. Immerhin habe ich durch den Kommentar deinen Kanal gefunden. Bei dir kann man das sehen was ich als "echten" Modellbau bezeichne, gute Arbeit!
