Its looking really well. The track inspector did not look very pleased at the light installation part; but the Railway Managers he brought along later seemed very pleased
Great work! good that you checked the lantern wiring before installing the platform top decking. The layout is looking wonderful. Love watching your progress.
Excellent work, Your making great progress and interesting to see how you make and install things as you build. Nice to see the track inspectors make an appearance, and looks like they have bought colleagues the electrical department inspectors with them this time!!!!
Thank you! I´ve got 5 inspectors on duty, each on it´s own Area of Expertise. They are doing a great job for the most part. The only truble I have is with my geologist chicken, it often simulates landslides especially in the big station area. I´ve got a problem with that to be honest...
Nice work with the lamps👍. But, I wonder why you are not using Plastic pipes for all those wires routed under the pebbles like you did earlier with the signaling and track power supplies.👍
Over the years I tried many methods to do this, they all have positives and negatives. I settled with the simplest way as you have seen. Once I tried to use plastic pipes. It was blocked by stone and debry at the day I wanted to repair the lantern. So I was forced to remove the plattform pavment anyways to change the plastic pipe with the lantern at once...
I was wondering why no one asked this question up to this video. Short answer is I want it to rust. I like the looks of the rust red steel edge and the stone paving. The steel will be fine for many many years even without paint.
Very good job. I also used a primer glue to fix the little stones. It's expensive but fantastic as it allow the water to drain without forming puddle. Fantastic is the iron border you used. Unfortunately I 've no iron soldering tools and experience. Why don't you protect the iron with antirust paint? Very useful the part on the electrical connection. Could you explain better the electrical supply scheme. Which kind of transformer 220v-24v are you using? I see you put many switch before the transformer and I wonder why
Thank you for your interest. I want the steel edge to rust so it gets a rust red color. It will be fine for many years even without paint since this is very thick steel and it won´t rust very fast due to the dry climate and no standing water on it. I have build a similar edge 5 years ago and beside the surface rust it is in very good shape. I made a video about the installation of my electrical supply, this might give you some answers. th-cam.com/video/chWWlh3tEEE/w-d-xo.html The many switches in front of the transformer all have a reason. I have 2 transformer so I have two on/off switches, one for each of them. Those are mounted to the right. In the middle there are 2 breaker units, each for every transformer. And last but not least there is a RCD "Residual Current Device". Breaker units and RCD are mandetory in Germany for such a installation, those will be constantly switched on. I will use the two switches to power on or off my whole layout.
Great job Robert. Once again your video is a very informative tutorial. That station building is really nice. Did you scratch build it or is it a kit? If so who makes it?
I bought the building of eBay. The guy told me that he promised the manufacturer not to tell anybody who has build this scratch build model. So long story short he in deed didn´t tell me. But you can get a similar model from the german manufacturer "Große Modelle". They are very nicely build but also very expensive.
Of course “we” have enjoyed this project. Nicely done. You provided a very nice start to my Samstag!
I am very glad you enjoyed the video and the project itself!
Incredible build quality!
Thank you, I try my best to do it right the frist time :)
Nice step by step of your wonderful railroad. Thanks for taking us along. Love it!
Thank you very much! I am glad you are enjoying the whole series. I´ve got many plans so this will keep you entertained for a little while :)
Beautiful! Both your work, and the chickens!
Thank you, I appreciate your comment!
Bravo pour votre réalisation et votre minutie
Et merci de nous le faire partager
Thank you! I am glad you have enjoyed my work!
Fantastic work !
Thank you very much!
Thanks for sharing, great video. Enjoying watching.
Good to hear, I am glad you like it!

They are sometimes a little pessimistic but in the end they approve most of my work!
Great work! good that you checked the lantern wiring before installing the platform top decking. The layout is looking wonderful. Love watching your progress.
Yes, luckily I followed my golden rule of double checking everything, otherwise this would have been a disaster!
Excellent work, Your making great progress and interesting to see how you make and install things as you build.

@@summitrailway Nature is a big factor to consider with a garden railway, I have problems with roosting pigeons, and target practice.....
Siempre es muy importante tener unos buenos inspectores en los que poder confiar.
True, they make sure I don´t screw up this project!
Nice Job, it looks fantastic.
Greatings from Germany.
Thank you very much!
Very nice. Can't wait to see it all lite up.
I will wait for that reveal until the second platform is done, this will be amazing!
No se como he llegado aquí porque yo estaba mirando de la escala Z pero me he suscrito a tu canal porque son unos videos maravillosos. Muchas gracias.
Thank you for subscribing and enjoying my videos! I am glad you found my channel regardless of how it happened.
This is such a clever way of doing the platforms! I need to redo one of our platforms so will be using this method. As always, amazing work, Robert!
Great to hear! I am glad to give you some inspiration...
Großartiger Fortschritt Ihres Projekts, gut gemacht
Vielen Dank, die Arbeiten werden in Kürze weiter gehen!
Again a very nice video !
Thank you!
Looking real good Robert!! All your lighting is going to look great when completed. When can we see some dusk trains rolling?
I will reveal the lights when I get done with the second plattform. I am very confident that it will look great at night!
Nice station buildings
Thank you!

Outstanding work
Thank´s, I appreciate it!
There should also be a fuse at the output of the 24V power supply to protect your devices.
Between the power supply and my digital central station ther is no need for a fuse. I will incorporate some fuses in the lighting circuit!
Thank you for posting. Do you build the buildings also?
The buildings are mostly kit´s, some are custom made and ordered. Up to this point I do not scratch build buildings but I may in the future.
Awesome stuff, thank you. Can you share where your lights are from please? I would like to add some to my own layout.
The lights are scatch build by me. I have a video of building the prototype. Whatch this... th-cam.com/video/BF8nBApxK_g/w-d-xo.html
Great work, it looks beautiful. Maybe I hire you for my garden project :)
I will be busy for the next couple of years but after that ... maybe.
I appreciate you watching!
Wunderbar umgesetzt . Weiter so
Es freut mich das dir der Bahnsteig gefällt!
Those are some really fancy chickens, I'm guessing their not for dinner?. 🙂
Very nice 🎯🎯🔥🚂🚂
Thank you!

Is there a specific reason why you didn't cover the angle iron with a protective coating?

Top as usual :)
Thank you!
What type of chicken do you have
They are Paduaner chickens. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paduaner_(Huhn)
Gartenbahn
Gut erkannt, es ist eine Gartenbahn :)
Hello. Will you also use catenary once you finish the trackwork?
No I won´t, it is way to fragile and to much maintenance required. The initial cost to install overhead lines is over the top as well...
