- The mighty BMW R 1300 GS Adventure shows its edge again! After the normal BMW R 1300 GS came across as too soft for many, the Bavarians gave the brand new R 1300 GS Adventure the even more powerful basic structure of the R 1300 GS, garnished with a 30 litre barrel, more practical features and a really edgy appearance again. We were even able to test it with the new ASA automated shift assistant!

It was too late for the automatic transmission option. But it was a very good option. Those who do not like the headlight design will get used to it after a while. As for the color option, I like the Trophy model with its gold rims.

I will probably buy it in the end, but why aren't you addressing the issue of replacing the beatiful lion head shaped fuel tank with a hideous tomato crate.
Thank you for translating to english which you speak very well. This bike is ugly, heavy and expensive. This bike is now more about "Flashing your cash baby" than motorcycling. The odd thing is, the more I see this monster, the more I prefer the looks of the 1150/1200 GS.
Yep. Seen it. Sat on it. Have not yet ridden it and also do not feel the need to. The redesign is atrocious and the pricing is $2k higher than a 1250 GSA with the same specs - at least at my local BMW dealer. Bottom line: I happily keep my 1250 GSA.
I’m ok with the design except for the beak. It’s too squared off…maybe the aftermarket will notice and fix it later.

I’ve seen it in person. It does look better than the pictures and video footage suggests. Does it look good enough? Absolutely not. This is especially true in a showroom, when the outgoing 1250 GSAs are sitting right next to it.
@@GSAirTherapy I love your analogy, I was thinking more along the lines of a cross between a 60’s ice cream freezer and a 70’s table top lighter. It’s certainly as unappealing as the carpets and curtains from both of those eras 😝😜😊
