Filling Our Minds with the Power of Jesus Christ

- My prayer at this Easter season is that we will more consciously shape, strengthen, and secure this preeminent thought of Jesus Christ in the chambers of our soul, allowing it to eagerly flow into our mind, guide us in what we think and do, and continually bring the sweet joy of the Savior’s love.
Filling our mind with the power of Jesus Christ does not mean that He is the only thought we have. But it does mean that all our thoughts are circumscribed in His love, His life and teachings, and His atoning sacrifice and glorious Resurrection.
Jesus is never in a forgotten corner, because our thoughts of Him are always present and “all that is in [us adores] him!”We pray and rehearse in our mind experiences that have brought us closer to Him.
We welcome into our mind divine images, holy scriptures, and inspired hymns to gently cushion the countless daily thoughts rushing through our busy lives. Our love for Him does not shield us from the sadness and sorrow in this mortal life, but it allows us to walk through the challenges with a strength far beyond our own.
In this Easter season, I witness the complete and absolute truth of the Savior’s incomparable atoning sacrifice and of His glorious Resurrection. As your mind remains firmly and forever upon the thought of Jesus Christ, and as you continue to focus your life more fully on the Savior, I promise you that you will feel His hope, His peace, and His love. #BecauseOfHim

I have wondered why I get the phenomenon of not wanting to click on these videos because what could be better? My conclusion is that 1. The adversary wants me to be distracted and 2. that “salvation is not a cheap experience” (Jeffrey R Holland) and the natural man wants the easy, thoughtless, soulless, easily digestible diet of content. We know what’s best for us though.

I am so grateful for Jesus Christ, he came to allow me to be forgiven for my past sins, without him I would be lost for all eternity, my sins would've defined me.

The wonderful thing about Jesus Christ and His Atonement is that it is infinite. You can never out sin it, and it is never too late to turn your life around. Just keep trying and improving yourself 1% each day. The Lord loves effort
Mormon stopped being used because it gives the impression it’s Mormon’s church. Everyone including members needed to be reminded it is The Lord’s Church. It bares his name. Trying to get across the importance of whose church it is has been happening I believe since the 90’s. I still have problems at times remembering to say The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Many will say The Church of Jesus Christ. But there is another church who has that name. Anyway it’s not that President Nelson is against the name Mormon. A Prophet was told by Christ to use the name of the church. The Lord has been really patient with us knowing it takes us a long time to make changes. President Nelson is so full of love for everyone, member or not. Christ loves the world, everyone are all children of God. I left the church when I was young. I had to hit rock bottom before I could see the gospel is true. But once I knew it and was ready the Lord helped me in every way. I hope you are okay. I pray nothing but the best for you. He loves you. ❤

The greatest truth of which I know, is that all can know this joy
We all need him so much now. The world is the saddest and most wicked place now I’ve ever seen in my lifetime. My parents agree. No one has ever seen what is happening now on the level and scale and perpetuity that it is happening. Inequity of bounds, and the hearts of many have grown cold. The desolating loneliness and division and mental illness, the spiritual despair, the world is drowning in it now. This is what the adversary would have. We cannot simply turn away. Even making a stand is difficult now. I trust our Father though and I trust Christ. Thank you for this video.

I guess I will just say that I love the scriptures because they comfort me, and answer my questions, and so do the lessons in our Sunday manuals that help us to learn from the scriptures. I learned the other day not to worry or kick myself over something…that was such a relief to know that I do not have to be perfectly on target, but I can work towards it by learning and growing. We are all human, and not required to be perfect, but maybe strive for excellence while on earth, and be more loving like the Savior is.
This Holy Week we encourage to learn about more Jesus the love and miracles he make to us.
