Braunfels castle is a fantastic looking castle on top of a hill above the old town of Braunfels, which is about 10km from Wetzlar in Hessen, Germany.
One can look around the outside of the castle and for a few euros take a tour around the rooms inside, which I can recommend. The old town is also very interesting to look around and there are a lot of good places to eat.

Das Schloss Braunfels liegt auf einer Basaltkuppe westlich des Luftkurortes Braunfels im mittelhessischen Lahn-Dill-Kreis. Seit dem 13. Jahrhundert ist es Sitz der Grafen von Solms und befindet sich noch im 21. Jahrhundert im Familienbesitz der Grafen von Oppersdorff zu Solms-Braunfels.

Love the foliage on the sides of the castle ruins, really beautiful especially this time of year, thanks for sharing your walks, they are calming and relaxing to watch and listen to. New fan here :D
