It’s funny you brought that up. I have a story that’s real close. I have a 71 Triumph motorcycle and my brother was adjusting the valves and at the end he couldn’t find one of the nuts so my brother completed the task the motorcycle out and ran down the road And all of a sudden it would quit well we found the keeping up it would fall in the place between the valve and the sea compression you would kick it over unload itself so I removed it put it back where belong And to this day, I still have the motorcycle and still runs 40 years. That’s my story. Have a nice day. Enjoy your show I’m a Ford man I have a 70 mustang 1960 Ford Starliner I always buy Fords but my first cool car is a 1968 Camaro day day. I wish I had it and should’ve never got rid of it. Your show is great. Keep it up.
Nice video Bud , All ways a good time getting a motor ready to start up , So go to the Doctor and get your self in shape so we can hear that Baby Run 👍😁
Hi AL, glad your feeling better but still in slow motion. I'm always in slow mo at my age lol. I can't believe you got that oil filter off without getting your fore arm covered in oil like I used to. I did it for years with a t-shirt on, expecting it. Soon as I cracked it lose and started spinning it off as fast as I could oil would cover the filter and my arm. Then I would flip it over so it would drain into the drain pan. Everything being covered in oil I'd loose my grip and flop it in the drain pan splashing oil all over. What a mess every time and I did drain the oil first. What fun, don't know how you did it and I even watched you do it. I was thinking here it comes you better get your coat off. Oil change is easy, like changing a light bulb. But that SOB filter would get me every time LOL. AL your the man! LOL Dale😎
@@Camaroguy69 Hello, funny I was thinking the same thing, how did I not take a bath in oil LOL. We’ve all been there. Thank you Dale and have a great day👍🏼AL
@@keepitsimplegarage-xp1kk Hi AL, hope your visit with your doc goes good with a big green light. Mr. Wilsons Olds. is smoking hot! Love the speedo disconnect trick, weren't we stinkers back in the day lol? The side exhaust ports were a nice touch. Back then they did cool little things that you wouldn't even think of. I was in first grade when that car was new. Glad to see your changing out all that ugly wiring. It makes me think of mine, every thing works. But I've had mouse problems over the years i put moth balls inside and out. When you talked about fires, it made me cringe. Again nothing looks chewed but i saw a dead one in there once and some droppings. For now I'll cross my fingers and wait for spring won't drive it till then. Long winter ahead?? Hope not!! when i was in auto school, did a year of gen auto too get my brake/lamp n smog lic in 92. had a gear drive in my 71 elco,i pull into the shop and the teacher say's hey your low on power steering. ha ha gotcha lol, when i told him in front of other student's he wasn't too happy. second time they had a small block on the floor. they where having students time it. top dead/stab etc. i said you can put the dist in any pos you want as long as rotor is on #1 plug wire on the cap. teacher got mad and said what are you doing here lol.
@keepitsimplegarage-xp1kk no actually it's spin on oil filter that has a capacity of two quarts of oil and increased filtration it also eliminates the need to go to a higher capacity oil pan if one is needed for a performance engine !
