Really like seeing the Past builds! I’m amazed at your knowledge of every little clip points, muffler clamp holder and weld points on a 69 Camaro. The littlest hole on the chassis. 👍🏻
@@svenlarsen9732 Hello, thank you for your kind words. I was hoping to have a video tonight but I was running late this whole week so I should have one posted tomorrow sometime. I hope you enjoy them. Thank you for watching and have a great weekend 👍🏼AL
This video was great Al, i enjoyed it immensely, wow Staten Island, the Malibu was beautiful, I never saw it around, and the stories behind the cars are amazing, have a nice weekend and take care bud!!!
I see a lot of parallels with you in what I did for many years. The one exception is you used your head a little more than I did. I went from one manufacturer to another. Doing it that way, you never fully learn the cars to the extent you have, sticking mainly to the first generation Camaro’s, in the long run you save yourself a lot of money, and end up doing a better job on the cars. Mistakes are expensive, and I made my share. You’re always going to make money, but if you’re aware of any issues before you buy, the percentages are a lot more in your favor. For me it was a hobby, if it was anything about muscle, I was there, regardless of the manufacturer. I’m looking forward to the time you do a BB 69 Camaro, I’ve had 2, both Yenko’s, one brand new in 1969, the other a few years ago, not number matching, started as a basket case. I mentioned it to you the first time I found your channel, same color combination as scraps, but in a lot rougher shape.
@@Musclecar1972 Hello yes I remember, hope all is well!! My favorite cars are first gen Camaro’s but I do like fords and Chrysler’s. Hopefully I will start up on the mustang soon, let’s see how that goes LOL. Thank you as always and have a great weekend 👍🏼AL
@ And you as well! 👍 I did have a 65 2+2 many years ago, 289 Hi Po, 4 speed, pony pac car, shock towers did the normal, and the front tires looked like a red headed step child, LOL 😂 It now has a 427 FE in it, and an econoline solid dropped front axle under it. That’s how we fixed them back then, looks like a gasser! I don’t own it anymore.
@ It was a lot to handle, going straight was fine, anything else, not so much, LOL I know he still has it, I haven’t seen it in quite a while now. He’s older than dirt, and so am I, LOL . Your brother being a Chevelle guy would have loved the car I ordered in 1970, and traded my 69 Yenko in on. I ordered a Black SS with white bucket seats and console interior, 4 speed, LS-6 454, 4:10 posi. That was in my estimation the quickest all factory street car I ever owned, including the 69 Yenko Camaro, the Camaro was lighter, but that Chevelle just had so much torque, and it seemed to hook a lot better. I ran M&H wrinkle walls on the street on both of them when I was racing, the Chevelle just felt quicker. By the way, I love your black 69, I was going to have my Yenko painted black, it was Hugger Orange, but I traded it before I could. My second like I told you was Rally green, like scraps. I’ll be watching for your next post! 👍

Hey Al, do you take your cars down to bare metal before priming and paint? Or prime and paint over existing paint. Thanks in advance
