This is why I don't get mad when my order occasionally gets messed up or smth. Customers gotta understand it's not so simple as the worker being incompetent. It's a whole network of things that can happen that can fuck you and your server over. But the people that treat their job as a joke and are lazy about literally everything are actual garbage

I didn’t mail my work in so y’all ain’t gonna mail me my check. I use to love night shifts working in the nursing home, (everyone is asleep) and you have very light work, maybe a lil laundry here and there, until I started working fast food. Night shift always has the most work, while day shift can just clock out, leave everything dirty because night shift is coming. Night shift had to make sure EVERYTHING is ready for when day shift opens, plus they can’t leave it dirty overnight, gotta take the trash out, clean pots, pans, sauces stacked, bags, veggies chopped, wrapped, cups, bathrooms, napkins, mop, etc, etc, ef’ntc!!!!!

The hot bar where we serve the hot food used to close when the store closed which was 9pm. We would stop serving food at 8pm and have to spend the last hour putting away the food, cleaning the dishes and doing the floors. I work in the deli kiosk during day shift now so it's as much work now but I get alot of customers and I usually work my whole shift by myself.

I’ll never work fast food. I worked at target for 5 years and it took my soul which I’m finally getting back. I will say almost all fast food employees do a terrible job tho, I seen them smoking weed on the job, not washing their hands, etc. imo they don’t deserve higher pay because they don’t care or try. ( I’m in pest control now so I get to see it all)

Ive given them plenty of chances over the years but now i refuse to go, id rather go hungry then spend my hard earned money there. They mess up my order more than 50% of the time, horrible customer service from most employees, and its the SLOWEST fast food place on a consistant basis. Olive Garden makes food faster than them. I know not all the employees are bad and not all mcdonalds are bad but the one by my house is a 0/5 star place.

I remember before I quit, I was the only manager for a whole month and had to work double shifts, until they had to find someone for night shift everyday. Not to mention, this is the same month that five people including another manager quit in a few days span. Then the next month 5 more people quit, and we were down to 12 employees total, that's including managers and regular crew members. We were the 3rd busiest Wendy's in the whole state and had rushes for 6+ hours with no time to break. Every day it was me in the morning at 5:30a.m. by myself till 7 a.m. and 3 others show up at like 8a.m. then it was just us 4, until 6p.m. and I'd had to stay an extra hour just to get everything situated for the next day. Some days I would have to stay for 16hrs, because of How short staff was. Luckily the front wasn't open, but the drive thru just made everything trash, when we get $40 to $80 worth of orders back to back. I was making over $1200 every check, but money isn't worth my health, then when I found out my gm quit, because she realized the stuff I was saying was true, I left, and like, 95% of the crew quit with me. Now the store is down bad to a point where it'll probably get shut down real soon.

As someone who worked for Hardees for 8 years, as a manager it used to always be morning shift vs night shift. I used to make sure the store was perfect for morning shift, but they would always find something so I started pointing out everything they didn't do 😂

I’ll never work fast food. I worked at target for 5 years and it took my soul which I’m finally getting back. I will say almost all fast food employees do a terrible job tho, I seen them smoking weed on the job, not washing their hands, etc. imo they don’t deserve higher pay because they don’t care or try. ( I’m in pest control now so I get to see it all)

Ive given them plenty of chances over the years but now i refuse to go, id rather go hungry then spend my hard earned money there. They mess up my order more than 50% of the time, horrible customer service from most employees, and its the SLOWEST fast food place on a consistant basis. Olive Garden makes food faster than them. I know not all the employees are bad and not all mcdonalds are bad but the one by my house is a 0/5 star place.

I remember before I quit, I was the only manager for a whole month and had to work double shifts, until they had to find someone for night shift everyday. Not to mention, this is the same month that five people including another manager quit in a few days span. Then the next month 5 more people quit, and we were down to 12 employees total, that's including managers and regular crew members. We were the 3rd busiest Wendy's in the whole state and had rushes for 6+ hours with no time to break. Every day it was me in the morning at 5:30a.m. by myself till 7 a.m. and 3 others show up at like 8a.m. then it was just us 4, until 6p.m. and I'd had to stay an extra hour just to get everything situated for the next day.
Some days I would have to stay for 16hrs, because of How short staff was.
Luckily the front wasn't open, but the drive thru just made everything trash, when we get $40 to $80 worth of orders back to back.
I was making over $1200 every check, but money isn't worth my health, then when I found out my gm quit, because she realized the stuff I was saying was true, I left, and like, 95% of the crew quit with me.
Now the store is down bad to a point where it'll probably get shut down real soon.

Day shift never had to worry when I did closing and I'm pretty sure that's why I seemed to always be on closing. Everyone I worked with would get so excited to see me clock in cause they were about to work me to filth 😭 My work ethic is too strong. Ima say tho, I got ish done done. Bruh I feel you on them dishes. I used to work an overnight shift at McDonalds. So the evening staff left their dirty dishes from all evening for me to clean at the start of the shift never mind the fact that it was critical shit we needed to function and during a rush
