    By far the simplest and most effective way to install. This is the best video on the topic!!
    I’m not at all comfortable with the “hinge and adhesive” method. Just seems to leave too many opportunities for error. The way he did it allows you to place it, step back and adjust if you need to. What is there to dislike about that? I got some big decals going on my Dodge and this is the only video that gives me confidence to do it myself and to absolute perfection.
    Blow dryer will work too in case you don’t have a heat gun.

    Watched multiple examples on how to do it...your's was the best. As others have stated, having the decal wet allows for you to make the final fussy adjustments, if needed. Thank you.

    thank you for the tutorial. i tried the dry/hinge method and royally screwed up.. had a few air bubbles and even a small crease. this method was much easier and turned out 100% perfect.

    I like the idea of using the heat gun, or in my case a hair dryer, to make sure the decal is nice and dry. Thanks.

    • @BeardedGuitar
      @BeardedGuitar ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just did it yesterday without the heat gun and it worked perfectly...it was 85 or so degrees out which helped the peeling of the old decal as well...I just squeegeed a little bit extra and let the sun sit on it for a couple of minutes then started peeling and it worked perfectly.

      @@PottersWork it destroys the adhesive i would honestly just buy a small bottle of rapidtac from amazon, i sometimes just use some water and dish soap about 60/40. tbh just using the hinge method and cleaning the service with some alcohol before hand would be a lot easier. and theres no need for a heatgun etc. just some masking tape and a decent squeegee.

    I own a sign shop and this is not the way the pros do it ! We never work wet, unless you're mounting a giant 4x8 print to an acrylic sign. moisture, no matter what, reduces the longevity of the graphic. most wet installation graphics will have a 2 year lifespan compared to 5 years if done dry. ofcourse, that depends on the media used.
