I'm with you, get rid of the chrome extensions off...if you can. If it's drilled and screwed, you may want to leave them be. There's a bunch of places that sell rims, just Google. OR, you could have your rims stripped and re-chromed. Costly, but check what a nice set of rims would cost, could be worth it. You know these rims are solid! Whatever you decide, remember you want to daily-drive this lady. That crack in the paint needs to be fixed sooner than later, but the rest, except tires, can wait until spring. Just keep her clean, with attention to the undercarrage top on the list. Lincolns are great automobiles, built to a high-quality standard! With care it should do okay if you do your part. Clean, Wax, and Love her!!! PS You can get some cheaper rubber mats at a part store and cut them to fit. I've done that on more than a few vehicles over the years. WeatherTech mats are nice but pricey, you can't just cut them up to custom-fit!! Take 'em out in the spring!!!

The floor mat that goes over the hump is for the backseat floor not the front. That is why they think it doesn't fit. The long wheel base car came with a big floor mat for the back that fit over the hump.

The big one is for the back because you would have 3 people back there before (if ever), you would have 3 in the front. So people would have the dirty shoes on the hump in the back. Weathertech would not be making a bad fit for any car. It is there one and only job to make floor mats that fit, especially expensive floor mats.
The sun and extreme heat can cause tires to dry rot quickly. The fact that these nearly 20 year old tires are still somewhat useable, shows that the previous owner always had this car parked in a garage. Also your headlights look very clear, as the sun will dull these plastic lenses and give them a yellow tint. If this was my car, I would keep the chrome fender trim, unless you were planning to repaint the entire car, which it certainly doesn't need. My Town Car has the chrome fender trim, and I think it would look worse if I removed it.
Hey Frank, that’s a great point you made regarding the headlights. I didn’t realize it until after taking a second look, but they are very clear compared to other town cars I’ve seen in public or listed for sale on marketplace. My mum's car that only went to the bowling club on Sundays had 18-YO tyres. Which she discovered when she got a puncture and the tyre shop said no way! She was very annoyed having to get 4 new tyres.
I had my original lx4 tires on my 2011 due to the super low milage. I recently switched to Defender. Wish I could have gone for white walls but the dealer paid for them and didn't let me choose haha. Drives SO MUCH better, and so silent. White walls are super hard to find too. Travelstar are on back order, and Eagle LS same.
Didn’t realize travelstar are currently on back order! Something I’ll definitely have to keep In mind when the time comes. I’ve heard nothing but great things about the defenders though
@@GetThisNick The defenders are a game changer. Absolutely ZERO road noise, nothing, and the road feel is still very soft (okay, the tire is thiccccc too, that helps), no vibrations, nothing. And they stick, I feel the car glides a bit less than before). I m in Cali, didn't find any travelstar, i think some places have been hoarding them. I think - fun fact - it's a chinese brand too.
I had weather tec floor mats in my 09 town car and I did remove them, both front and rear mats had the hump section which did fit ok but did have a ridge that slightly interfered with the fold down cup holder in front, just overall wasn’t happy with them, I have 2 sets of factory floor mats one for winter and one for the rest of the year. As far as fender well chrome take them off it looks so much cleaner best thing I did with mine and they are not factory it’s all aftermarket as far as I know from asking my local Lincoln dealer

Посмотри на диски town car с 1998-2002 годов, они имеют вогнутую форму и множество мелких спиц.

Please leave the Chrome fender Trim - keep it original. The RIMs look sensational as well. Just leave the OEM rims

The set of weather tech mats I have in my 03 town car fits pretty good. They are separate, not one piece but works really well. Peace.
