Thank you my friend. I really appreciate that as I spend a lot of time trying to find beautiful shots that add to the overall vibe. These workflow videos are some of my favorites to produce.
academy reward for best cinematography - emmanuel lubezki must be very jealous of your cameraman skills! you deserve bafta award for this video. bravo! 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
Loved this video, keep it up. The music and captions were spot on. Thanks for sharing your foaming technique, I've still yet to be able to make decent foam.
Congratulations for this wonderful video. This is high quality work. The lighting is always amazing, but this one goes ways over others, especially the board screen shot at the end. 👍
This was really therapeutic. Superb camera work and editing. I hope you’re enjoying the YOU. I’ve had mine for 8 months. Looking forward to your full thoughts
No single dosing, distributor, puck screen, Rdt or porcupress? What year are we in? Jokes aside, looked like a great shot. Would be a little too much touchscreen interaction for me but otherwise seems like a nice routine. Not that the You would be in my budget anyway.
I am new to espresso, so please forgive my ignorance! 1. Why only 6-7 bars of pressure? 2. Why do you choose the concave shape of the portafilter basket?
I love my YOU, but above all this was beautifully filmed. Now getting a YOU shot out of my Colombian La Cristalina Castillo natural self roasted beans.
I have a question! Why do I make the perfect dose to yield ratio, use great milk and puck prep and my iced cortados do not taste like my favorite cafes
There’s a lot of variables at play beyond that. Water for one is a big one, then you’ve got the machine, usually cafe machines have better temp stability, also a lot of them use pre-infusion or other shot profiles to pull certain flavors or character from the coffee.
@@Sprometheus ahhh cool! I didn’t know water made that much of a difference! I have the profitec go which has pid control, and I get my beans from a really good cafe! I’ve been at it for a long time learning and still trying to figure it out 😂
My goodness, I've watched this 4 times haha this is like meditation. ... But question spro: i saw you drop using the leveler distribution forever and then pick it up again after further tests... Are you not using leveler??
I always wonder how many cameras you run simultaneously for these workflow depictions. What's relaxing for us to watch must be very stressful to shoot and edit. Thank you for these amazing videos!
Believe it or not, I use one camera. Each shot is pre-planned and I spend a good amount of time ensuring they flow smoothly. Even though these are a good amount of work, they really are some of my favorite to produce since it really depicts the beauty in the process, taking in all the details. Thanks for watching and the kind words.
@Sprometheus it's pretty insane to think you only use one camera, especially when the shot is pulling switching from spout view to the inside of the cup to spout view again must be quite stressful considering you only have 30ish seconds to a minute to do that!
You know, the value of the equipment we have here is comparable to that of a car! And can you believe the WDT tool is parhaps handmade? It's actually made from acupuncture needles, I assume. This just adds to the authenticity and honesty of the whole video, don't you think?
The equipment is definitely pricy, espresso at home is a rabbit hole and you can spend a lot on it that’s for sure. The WDT tool is from a small solo coffee tool creator known as Sworksdesign. It’s also not cheap in the realm of tools but it does use acupuncture needles, they can be swapped and also arranged in different patterns. Anyway, thanks for watching and commenting.
In my experience this isn’t uncommon. Even my La Marzocco’s didn’t come with one. They are an added accessory. The Lelit Bianca is as the only machine I’ve received that came with both a spouted and a bottomless standard.
Great relaxing video. How are you liking the SanRemo You so far? Seems like a great piece of hardware. I'd be curious if you think the price is justified in performance?
Thanks Scott. So far I’m enjoying it. I haven’t used a gear pump machine in awhile so it’s pretty wild having direct pressure control versus just controlling the water flow. The cups have been great, and it’s got a ton of control and options I still haven’t dug into. I’ve got it for 90 days so expect to see more on it soon.
@@Sprometheus But the pressure is a function of water flow and puck resistance. This is what I find quite annoying in most machines from a technical point of view. Can this machine be adjusted so it does not show target but actual pressure like the decent? I have seen so many machines showing only the target pressure even when there is no coffee in the filter. So even when this machine might be accurate in measuring the actual pressure, I never no if it actually hit the target, when for example pulling a turbo shot.
@@silverbrewski Thank you so much for the reply. This was one of the last questions I had before getting a YOU. My last question is how long does it take until the fan starts spinning and is it annoyingly loud?

Phase 3: if a coffee/how water/steam is performed, fan starts and continues to work for additional 10 minutes. This timer is refreshed every erogation of coffee/how water/steam. Thanks, I appreciate that. And yeah, it’s got a real unique body style. I’m not sure which came out first, but I think it’s intended to look like a single group of their flagship Cafe Racer commercial machine.
I love how the entire video is a monument to serenity, and then he stacks the big cup in the little cup at the end, just to keep us on our toes 😂😂
Haha, exactly. Plus, I’m all about making only one trip to the kitchen.
This whole thing is ASMR; never knew peace could radiate from a youtube video.
Exactly what I aim for! Thank you my friend.
Well then you’ve never watched Dave’s EasyPCRepairs
great job editing! The transitions were great! Really liked when you turned off the machine and got the reflection of the tree! Well done!
Thank you my friend. I really appreciate that as I spend a lot of time trying to find beautiful shots that add to the overall vibe. These workflow videos are some of my favorites to produce.
The final shot with the leaves reflecting off the display is outright artistic, really nice touch.
I appreciate that. It sort of wrapped the whole thing up the way it started. Full circle so to speak.
I love the whole ritual of making a coffee like that

Nice! So glad you included the cleaning part, which people tend to sweep under the rug 😅
Thank you, and I get that. It’s all part of process. It may not be glamorous but it can be beautiful when captured with intention.
Brilliant, yep, Brilliant. Peaceful. Thanks.
What an amazing video, I felt the peace and satisfaction when I watched it, definitely I will watch it again many times.
Nice focus and reflections, this pleases the film student in me.
I appreciate that, I never went to film school but I like to think I have an eye for the aesthetic.
The Rolls Royce of espresso machines. Look at that thing!!!

My favorite cafe uses a San Remo Cafe Racer and no other espresso bar beats it IME.

Wondering you used tap water or distilled water, or kind of your own formula😀
Currently I’m using a 50/50 blend of espresso and classic minerals from Third Wave Water.

Thanks Oren. I didn’t pre-order one, it’s on my list to check out eventually but I’m more interested in the Odyssey Argos atm.
how is it comparing with other machines?
I’d say comparison wise it’s like modern cousin of the LM GS3MP, but it’s pretty fresh on my bar so expect to see and hear more about it soon.
Hold on first you went from the Linea to the GS3 and you have a Sanremo with a new grinder?
Both the Linea and GS3 I bought, but I sold the Mini not long ago. The Sanremo and the grinder are both loaners and after reviews will go back.
They are sweet looking machines, I look forward to the review. I have been contemplating the Lelit Bianca V3 or Bezeera.

I am using 18 grams with this grinder since it gets a little clumpy as I grind finer.
