We lived in Chicago for 18 years and moved to Texas 10 years ago. Best decision we ever made but please please please, there is a reason you want to leave you current home environment and move to a better place like Texas, cost of living, more job opportunities, no state income tax, friendly atmosphere..etc. Texas works as is and it doesn't need the same issues your leaving behind. Texas welcomes everyone like it did us and we like Texas just the way it is.
HOLD ON... HOLD IT... U brought up the speed limits. Thats correct. We have most highways at 75 mph. BUT you forgot to mention the #1 rule regardless of speed limit. If ur doing under 83ish... Stay. Out. Of. The. Far. Left. Lane. 75 and under... Second lane from the left. Speed limit or under... Stay to the far right
Awesome video. I took a road trip through Texas back in 2013 and have always said that it would be one of the only places I'd consider moving out of state for. Recently been thinking about relocating since Colorado (where I was born, raised, and still reside) is getting too expensive for me. I think I would go with the Dallas or Houston areas, but the excessive heat, humidity, and hurricanes of Houston kind of intimidate me. Now leaning towards Dallas after watching this video. Thank you!
Yea, he forgot to mention the lane rules on the highways. We are very picky. And we are not scared to ride someones tail. Left lane is for 85+, a lil under that is the second to left lane. Speed limit or under stays to the far right.
All those "moving to Dallas Videos" I have seen are comments from other people from Boston area looking to move there also. And I am also in the same boat looking to leave MA , I wonder why we all started looking in Dallas v.s Austin ?
DALLAS GAAAAANG LETS GOOOOOO, I live like 6 minutes driving time from down town and when my parents got our house it was at 80k for a medium nice house, now it’s valued to 400k, ofc after a lot remodeling, but everything here is getting more expensive mostly because a lot of people are moving here

Ayeee, wassup VA Fam,I’m from the 757, the DFW is definitely different from VA,. Let me know if you have any questions about the DFW, I’ll be happy to answer them!

@@wheretoliveindallastexas The PHX housing market is crazy right now. I could sell my house here, be debt free and even net $300k and buy something way bigger in DFW area and pay cash. That’s why it’s great that you compared PHX to DFW. Very helpful.

Hi, I would you mind emailing me @ deandre@sukazarealty.com. I will be better able to help you in regards to how far you want to be from Frisco, and how many beds and baths you would prefer for the new construction home.
Hi true Dallas native here. You don't have to actually live in Frisco. There are suburbs like Richardson, Plano, McKinney and Allen that are near by and they have quit a few new housing constructions coming up. Good luck and welcome to Texas.
Nice video. Thanks for doing it. However, you are misleading on crime. Dallas crime is bad, but a lot of areas outside of Dallas aren't so bad. I live in the Mid-Cities area. We have our share of crime, but it really isn't that bad compared to other places. Last time I checked, Fort Worth had an increase, but no where near as high as Dallas. My point is not everywhere is really bad in crime, and even in Dallas, not every area is that bad, but certain areas are really high.
Love you videos. We are moving to Texas next month and would love it if you could do a video on white settlement Fort Worth Tx. I would love to see what you think and what that area has to offer.
Hi Deandre, Thanks for your video, it provided lots of value. I wanted to ask you two questions. 1. Did your wife actively begin looking for a job once you moved or did she start applying before you all relocated? 2. Why is the crime rate high? Thank you!
Hi Maria, My wife didn’t start looking for jobs until we moved here because she was working virtually with her other job. As for the crime right rate I’m really not sure, it may because of the fact that Texas has no laws restricting the the possession of assault weapons.
I majored in fashion merchandise and design and got my B.S. degree along with an entrepreneurship certification although I would like to move to LA or NYC it's just too expensive for me right now would you suggest the DFW area? I'm single, no kids, early twenties trying to get my hair business up and running but the city I live in now isn't too big on fashion and I just don't feel like I'm thriving here.
Hi I’m not sure of the job market for fashion merchandise and design, but the DFW does give off urban vibes and is very diverse. Also, for what the DFW has to offer it is very affordable to the other cities that you mentioned
I’m from Norfolk, VA & I currently live in VA BEACH but I’m considering moving to Dallas. Any suggestions on if I should do that? I want to know it all lol.

Don’t listen to her don’t move to South Dallas, that’s the hood hood fr, stay in North Dallas, Dallas in general is pretty diverse so you always gonna see minorities around, is just about who u surround yourself with
@Kay Wired Hello, why not live in a diverse area. For me personally I need to live in a diverse community. I can tell you that I'm interested in either living the city or suburbs. I currently live in a suburb outside of Chicago that is an even split of blacks and whites. My neighborhood is 48% white an 44% black. I love where I live and really don't want to leave but I need to move to warmer climate. The midwest sucks for weather. My recommendation is to look for cities or neighborhoods that have an almost equal number of blacks and whites. I used the census to compare my city with areas that are similar to my current city. I will drop the link below. I discover that Cedar hill, Forest hill, Glenn heights, Duncanville, Red oak, and Hutchins are cities/areas in Dallas that are most like my city in Chicago. www.census.gov/quickfacts/fact/table/US/PST045219
I’m going through the same experience coming from California all of south Dallas isn’t hood it is nice areas like Grand Prairie Cedar Hill etc that has middle class black folk. However north Dallas is much nicer so blacks are there we just little more spread out through north Dallas.
I haven't lived in Dallas for 17 years now but I still go back to see my parents. South Dallas, Pleasant Grove Oak Cliff, Red Bird, Joppa are the hood. Alot of us there. Duncanville, Cedar Hill, Desoto, Lancaser Mansfield are alot nicer. Black middle class and some upper class. Alot of black folks and professionals and etc. Grand Prairie and parts of Arlington are Nice as well. Alot of Black folks in the northern suburbs like Allen, Frisco and etc. Those I would say are mostly the newer people that move to Dallas. There new folks in the southern suburbs but a lot of them have been there longer.
