So tell me exactly why I or anyone else should help someone who got THEMSELVES in this situation? Expats go to the PI all the time with not enough money and then want/expect others to bail them out! No way!!! And him being a veteran is NOT some magically reason that he automatically deserves help! HAve him contact his OWN family for help. People are responsible for their OWN decisions! ENough E Begging online!!!
I refuse to act like those walking past him like they don't see that he needs help. I have liked, this is my comment and I will share to help this man. Let's hope he gets help soon. 😢
this vet fought for America and America has to help this vet to get back home. US citizens spent a lot of money on illegals claiming bogus asylum so America should have no issue helping this US vet.
@SallyJackson-i1l I want to know what was his situation before this? Do you know how many ex pats move to SE Asia with too little money and then 6 months later they are broke and homeless. Whose fault is that? Again....INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILTY!!!!
When Steve was a soldier in the war ... he saved my family's lives. my grandmother was being attacked by a bear and Steve helped fight off the bear. Steve is a hero. Although Steve bravely fought off the Bear .. the Bear did injure Steve's leg. The weird part of the story is that my grandmother said she'd rather meet a strange Bear in the woods rather than a man. And yet, a man, STEVE, saved her life.
Whatever the problem is, the fact remains that he is in dire need of help. He's so far away from home and he can be rehabilitated for sure. I almost cried the day I ran into him. Of I could, I would have helped. We need help to come for this man. Whatever his sin is, it's time to forgive and help him.
@@TravelingTalongs There is a "repatriation loan" The U.S. will pay for his plane ticket home on a commercial flight. Before this can happen he probably needs a bit of hospitalization since I don't think someone with leg infections that bad could board a commercial plane. He would need to either be accompanied on a commercial flight or put on a special U.S. military flight. The military flight might be better since it's safe to assume Steve has lost his passport. It's too bad the Americans at the Clark airbase won't just fly him home.
Sharing the video can help because it can get to the right people and agancies whose duties are to help people like him. I don't have the capacity to help, if you do then please help but if you don't, share to give him a chance of being seen by the right people
@@TravelingTalongs So he made poor life choices. This looks like ANgeles City....the red light capital of the Phils. So he blew all his money on beer and hookers and now he is broke. And because he is a Veteran, we should all open our wallets for him? Cool story Bro! NO INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY!!!
@@905JimRaynor Just ridiculous! First of all, do you think he is mentally capable of handling $800 million? Second, what about the millions of others in his position? Let his OWN family help him! Try to be at least a little realistic!!!
Not sure if this is click bait YTubin, but this isn’t normal. It’s easy to verify his service with SSN, DOB and dates of service, and the Philippines has the only US Veterans Affairs Clinic outside the US. Angeles also has a Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) I believe as well as Subic. Both will be happy to offer help if he’s actually a US Vet. Very skeptical he’s a combat veteran.
Thanks for this contribution. I can assure you that this is no click bait. This was an unplanned video. We were in the location to shoot about something else when we bumbed into him and his story and we felt maybe we can help by putting it up here so that people who know how he can get help like you for instance can guide us or other interested helpers. I couldn't believe the story myself until I got back later in the evening to have dinner at the McDonald's he usually sits in front of. To my greatest shock and surprise, he bumped on the see through glass holding and showing his documents. I couldn't hear what he was saying but he was pointing to it and when I checked I was able to see for myself through the see through glass. We hope he finds help. Presently I'm not in the Philippines but will see how I can make some inquiries about the helpful information you gave when I visit again. Thank you!
Please don't stop sharing this video until Steve gets HELP

In the Phils if you help all those that need/want help you will soon be out of money and just like him. Don't act like you are Mother Teresa!
@SallyJackson-i1l So what is your definition of help? Cuz it ALWAYS comes down to money in a situation like this!

I really love this comment. Thank you for your kind, supportive and thoughtful words. We hope he gets help. 😢
Where is the responsibiltiy on his part? To avoid getting himself in this situation?
@SallyJackson-i1lhe went there to get bar girls and short time plus long time bar girls

This guy gives PTSD a bad name. Why not address the real problem. It starts with a "D" and ends with an "S"

So sad😢 He has a swollen leg too. Probably infected. I hope he gets help soon enough.
Very simple….. call the US embassy.
I'm not sure they can directly help but it's worth giving a try.
