Heartbreak Hotel is my #1, Jailhouse Rock #2. I’d love to see you react to any early Elvis, especially if you can see him live. That’s the essence of Elvis, and that is amazing. If you can’t show a live reaction from his early years, I hope you’ll watch some Elvis on your own from the 1950s. Chuck Berry may have started rock and roll, but Elvis was not far behind.

Bear in mind, this was 1970. There were no monitors, no ear pieces, no autotune, nothin'. This was just feeding off of the audience, taking cues from the backing singers & the band for when to sing & when to move & pure, good ol' fashinoed hard work thru rehearsal after rehearsal after rehearsal to get it perfect & it don't come more perfect than this. This was Elvis at his absolute best.

Love Elvis my favorite artist ever. In saying that I know you were crucified for one of your Elvis reactions, but the thing with Elvis pick a type of music...Blues..Country..Rock...Gospel; well he could do it all and do it well. If you react to anything form the comback specail of 68' would be fine with me. If I Can Dream, the white suit version, from his 1968 Comeback Special; this may cahnge your mind on Elvis...if not then you won't like Elvis and that's fine different stroke for different folks. With me, I'll keep on rockin' to the King.

Amen. I loved young Elvis, and the rest of his career, but him in black leather in the 68 special was something extra special, even if some of it wasn't as high energy as Elvis performances usually were. I sure wish I could have seen him live, but he died while I was still a teenager in rural Montana. I still remember exactly where I was and who I was with when news of his death came over the radio. RIP Elvis, gone much too soon on August 16th, 1976. 💔

Just in case you are interested, his back up singers were Kathy Westmoreland and The Sweet Inspirations! I had the pleasure of seeing Elvis with my Mom and girl friend at the time...three years before his death in Springfield Mass. And they didn't stop screaming the whole show lol!

You have to react to Elvis singing In The Ghetto live in Las Vegas 1970. And his tribute song to MLK who was shot in Memphis Elvishometown a couple of months before. If I Can Dream from his 68 Comeback Special, he did it twice, pick the one with a white suit..

Those are all great choices. _In the Ghetto_ in 1970 was the first record I ever bought, and I played it incessantly. It's still one of my favorites, and it still tugs my heartstrings and still someone's makes me tear up today.

What I've found to be an unexpected byproduct of watching the music from my youth is that I see so much of it from a new and different perspective from the reactions . You guys tend to be among the elite of the reactors with your comments, and also manage not to destroy the music with continuous halts. And Tasha, Tasha, Tasha! My older brother falls in love again every time she sings and dances along with the music. It keeps him coming back to your channel for more reactions - even when he isn't interested in the music. He's ALWAYS interested in Tasha!!!

I've heard a lot of songs by Elvis but I didn't know about this one. It's something I'm glad I watched on stage first instead of just hearing it. Watching Elvis made it more fun. Oh and Tasha, it was the 70's there wasn't much choice about wearing bell bottoms back then 😆

I went to high school in far eastern Montana (very unhip rural place, where people didn't wear bell bottoms) one day in the 1970s wearing a pair of beige pants with bell bottoms that were actually larger than my waist. My extremely unsophisticated best friend asked me why I was wearing my pajamas to school. 😡 Forgiven, but never forgotten. We've been friends for 55 years. I finally got rid of those pants when I moved about 25 years ago. I should have kept them as a collector's item. I'm sure glad I kept the friend though. 💕

@@greeneyedlady5580 you are so lucky there were stores in your area where you could get somewhat "normal" clothes. I was really young in the 70's (just starting school) and everything my mom bought for me was bell-bottoms and large collars on my shirts 😆. Thanks for the story too. I'm sure it didn't feel good at the time but what a funny memory to have with your friend lol.

@@P.HATHCOX My one pair of bell-bottoms was purchased in a bigger city 200 miles from home. Everything local was "normal". It is a funny memory. I need to send her a picture of me in those pants and remind her.
