I would like to mount a winch like that onto the front of my trailer. That would be so handy to have. I have also thought about making a mount for the Kubota tractor for using down in the woods. Maybe next year.
I put a receiver on my trailer and made a receiver mount for my winch. Real simple and I can put it on my truck by myself in about a tenth of the time it took them.
the vehicle is so nice and CLEAN, it's first outing I'm guessing .... regarding the tree - you would have had less trouble on that tree with the way it was laying if you started the cut from the underneath of the log - the cut would open up as you progress upwards through the log. I just happened upon you vid whilst searching the net for winch hitch mounts - cheers from Oz downunder..

Never ever!!!! Attatch your cable the way you did to the log it will ruin the cable .... attach a chain around the log and hook your winch line to the chain.... winching 101 gentlemen.. CMON MAN
The winch worked great and I like the receiver hitch for the winch. You two make a great team
We agree!

Yes most definitely on the tractor 👍

And yes your idea is correct 👍
A blanket on the wire? and maybe a roller log uner the big log to get it out of the dirt?
i also have a front hitch so I can winch from both ends

You should've made the logs half the size!
A chain for around the tree would work well and protect your cable.
A couple 6 inch PVC pipes under that log would help out.
Does this winch get hot when you pull that hard for that long?
Winch nor the wires even got warm
@@outdooradventureswithbrayt3665 , that’s what you want!
